I'm happy the colors look nice, because I was worried it would clash or not exactly match (since I was eyeing out a darker/shaded palette with the base colors being the highlights in some parts)

only grievances I have atm with this piece is: 1) the hands look so weird TwT still can't do hands for the life of me 2)The blanket he's sitting on isn't angled how I wanted it And it doesn't fold over like how I wanted it to

 
I'm kinda sad that it's hard to see all the little circles I spent forever adding to that damn neck piece

Also you would not believe the amount of references I used (including my own IRL hand) to get the anatomy down. I do have some critism towards myself for one of the parts of anatomy, but other than that, I think I will probably never cook as hard as I did then TwT

Skelebros hard to draw TwT

I'm not done with this abstract sculpture but I ended up taking it home with me during the weekend so I could work on it, and earlier when I was on the elevator taking it back up to my dorm room, a guy made a face when it looked at it (it was some sort of fear/suprise/curiosity) and honestly it made me feel really happy because I wanted This to cause that sort of reaction



Like I said, not finished but hehe

The theme was "nostalgia" and we had to chose an item from our past, I chose the guitar

-Hasan: "Huh? Fight you? HA! Sorry, but I'm a pacifist."

-Hasan: "Suprised? I'm a thief, not a brute!"

-Ana: "A pacifist? You really believed that sort of lie?"

-Ana: "Well, I guess it's -technically- not a lie. Hasan -is- a pacifist at heart"

-Ana: "In fact, he's too much of one. Ha, he's actually a huge crybaby! Oh, not just with his own pain, but also towards everyone else's pain."

-Ana: "He may not look it, but every sparring match we did growing up, he could knock everyone on their asses- natural warrior"

-Ana: "... But he would be a blubbering mess, even if his opponent was unharmed!"

-Ana: "He would be-inconsolable- if he left the tiniest scratch on someone. Don't get me started on how he'd be when he had to spar -me-. You'd think someone died with how he would wail"

-Ana: "..."

-Ana: "Hm."

-Ana: "You know, he may not cry like he used to, but he's still much too empathetic. Emotional to a fault."

-Ana: "With how low his prices are, he might as well be a charity... One bronze for a necklace worth seven hundred gold? He's not stupid."

-Ana: "Hasan is..."

-Ana: "He's..."

-Ana: "..."

-Adolescent Hasan: "Why?! But why do we have to fight? Why can't people be nice to each other?"

-Teenage Hasan: "My lunch? Well, I saw an old beggar on the street-"

-Young Adult Hasan: "Hey, and few bruises is nothing compared to the lady's smile when I got her necklace back from that scammer!"

-Drunken Hasan: "Ana? How come, no matter how hard we try and try... There's so much suffering in the world?"

-Ana: "He's..."

-Ana: "..."

-Ana: "Actually, I take back what I said. He -is- an idiot. I mean, who in their right mind would sell stuff that low?!"

-Ana: "Ugh, I should scold him for it."

Hasan is interesting to me because of how empathetic he is, and how much he hides behind a mask of boastfulness/acting pompous. He very much is a compassionate, generous person, which you wouldn't expect from a merchant/conman

On the inside he's still the same, sensitive person he was growing up, motivated only by wanting to relieve other's suffering and to be helpful

Idk, him being very caring and altruistic, to the point of bringing himself harm, just. Is so inherent to his character

And Hasan's care for others scares Ana so much, because Ana grew up with Hasan. Ana has seen Hasan at his most vulnerable and most truest states. He's seen Hasan at his highest and lowest.

Ana painfully knows, deep down, if it came to it, Hasan would kill himself if it meant something, if it meant someone else could live or if it would be helpful. And that deeply scares Ana, knowing that just under the right circumstances, he would be burying his best friend and only person he ever felt real with

Ana also knows his love for Hasan wouldn't stop him, either. In fact, Ana knows that Hasan would also kill himself for Ana without a second thought. And I think there's something very heartbreaking about that, knowing that your love for someone and your companionship would drive them to death

They've been attached to the hip since they were very little, so their bond runs extremely deep. Love-wise, while they do hold romantic love for each other (despite neither of them knowing this lmao, they're both idiots), they both definitely know they Love each other, if that makes sense.
