Mu lets them past and even gives them free repairing service (yayy 1/12)
Technically Seiya just cut off a horn and didn't actually beat Aldebaran but okay (2/12)
They run past Gemini yayyy, Shiryu's blindness gives him a cutting edge apparently, Hyoga's thrown to Libra and yep (3/12)
Deathmask is too cocky and his own Cloth abandons him, he's basically the weakest of the GSs too; Shiryu defeats him (1 win for Shiryu over a Gold Saint kinda, 4/12)
Aiolia beats Seiya up pretty bad and he only manages to get the Leo back to normal with Kasios' sacrifice--if Aiolia continued fighting Seiya would have been dead meat. (5/12)
Shaka could have K.O.ed all of them, he incapacitates Shiryu, Shun, and Seiya, and in the end only let Ikki back to the world of the living because he has virtues (yayy 6/12)
Oof Hyoga's frozen and would've never been able to understand anything of his master's intentions if Dohko hadn't helped them with his Cloth (7/12???)
Milo could've killed Seiya and Shiryu but nope, lets them pass once Hyoga arrives, ultimately lets Hyoga past (doesn't even count as a clear victory, 8/12)
Aiolos is literally not there, so is that a motivation episode? (9/12)
Shura why did you not kill all of them when you got the chance (10/12)
Camus lets Shun and Seiya past because he's just interested in fighting Hyoga, ultimately just teaches his last lesson while holding back (11/12)
Aphrodite gets distracted by Shun--again this is like the second weakest Gold Saint, Shun scores a victory but is pretty much dead, his revival was basically a hack wth, HOW MUCH BLOOD DO THEY HAVE (12/12)
Saga beats both Seiya and Ikki up, when Saori and the others come (how are they not dead btw) the others are still beat up, the Gold Saints don't do anything because plot decrees they can't, ultimately Saga commits suicide so yay free victory

Overall I really don't see much of a difference between Shion's generation and this generation--like ok, you might say "oh look Deathmask was killed when Deathtoll wasn't" but Deathmask ain't representing his generation
That'd be pretty shameful ngl
I do have to say I feel like Shiryu's stronger than he's usually said to be, give the dude some credit
Honestly other than Ikki basically being immortal he doesn't have much on him
And idk how to really explain the Poseidon arc about him and Kanon and stuff because honestly Kanon didn't have it fair either, but it's a war so like what can I really say
I gotta say though, Shun's pretty weak from what I've seen, not even judging how he doesn't fight until he needs to but just in terms of raw power
