Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Typhoeus' EP is a bop (every time a good EP is released, the fans talk about Tangtang lol)
It's not the most exciting atmospherically, but I like it.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Spoilering for a rant

So amidst the absolute deluge of horrific things that are currently going on in America, the cuts to Medicaid are probably not the biggest immediate concerns, but they fill me with inexplicable amounts of rage.

For anyone not in the know, H.R. 1 (the law with the really stupid name) has made it so that Medi-Cal recipients will need to work, volunteer, or study for 40 hours per week to receive Medicaid

First of all, people who can get scheduled to work 40 hours per week (because of hour cuts and stuff. corporations) probably have health insurance already, because they have the privilege of being scheduled 40 hours a week.
Second, people who work 40 hours per week (so around 160 hours per month) would be getting an average wage of $11.46 WITHOUT taxes being withheld based on the 138% Federal Poverty Income limit needed to qualify for Medicaid in the first place. So, do you think they would have health insurance provided by their very generous employers at that rate of pay? I don't think so.
Third, that income is assuming they don't have assets of ANY kind, including savings of less than $5K, which will get them rejected for Medicaid in pretty much every state. Ask me how I know.
Fourth, administrative burden means people are more likely to be rejected than accepted.
Fifth, I don't think we should be trusting this current federal government with "disability approvals" and constant information updates on vulnerable people.
Shall I go on?

So even sithout other considerations, we're taking away critical healthcare in a country where healthcare can't even provide for emergency medical care expenses, in the middle of an economy that is not doing well (renting costs through the roof, job statistics being faked, initiating trade wars with neighboring countries for no reason), WHILE funding wars that actively cost us tens of billions of dollars. Idk how strongly I can try to call this stupid, it doesn't cut it and honestly it sickens me. It's disgusting.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I forgot to add that the state minimum wages tend to be higher in blue states, which have an average of around $15.75 (might need to be verified) compared to swing/purple states and red states, which tend to be closer to the federal minimum wage of $7.
So if companies are legally obligated to pay higher than the minimum wage, what benefits do they tend to sacrifice exactly to compensate? And if people who already work 40 hours per week make more than the Medical threshold and still don't have health insurance, what do they qualify for except for a big middle finger for when something does come up?
