SS AU update: Trying to figure out more about the older cohorts
Unfortunately my ability to work has slightly tanked due to anxiety issues, but I have 2 more days of freedom so better try at least :')

I still have no concrete idea how to handle roleplaying it out, but the idea I had was:
-I make a server (bad start ik)
-I give you the power to make new channels
-Each channel is a very short (long only if we feel like it) roleplay where the premise is that: 1) We can request certain characters be used at the start (principally, setting up the characters involved and a logical setting would generally be the role of the channel creator), 2) Events might not be canon (though can be if we agree on it in the future) and are mostly used to discern relationship dynamics or to have fun; 3) The roleplay generally goes inactive after a certain period of no activity, as indicated by a closed status, but can be restarted upon mutual approval

So basically shorter rols that I will probably fail. That are supposed to be low-stress. That I'm getting stressed over design-wise.
Any feedback or thoughts? Let me know if it's just a stupid idea lol (it's too late here)

I really like the idea of making things noncanon unless agreed to make canon

My concern with the inactivity part too is because of your mental health and Discord because it could become more of a hassle if you go inactive on Discord for a while

And thanks for your concern on my mental health. I do want to specify a little about about my opinion on Discord.
(I realize I forgot to give you the spiel that I gave Specter a while back, rip.)

For the past year or so especially, I've been thinking about why I dislike Discord, and I think it comes down to 1) me inherently liking a forum format a lot (all my social media is in the forum format lol, and 2) Unrelated to its format, because my experience with Discord has been negative overall.
Why negative? Well, after I started using it in 2020 for forums-related stuff, most of my experience on it has been...my friends ignoring me lol. It started off as weeks of others not responding while I saw them online every day, and as of the past 3 years or so, Specter has also gone half a year or even a year without responding there. So after 6 years of similar things (and that mess in 2022 on a forum server that I told you about), I think it just comes down to incompatibility and not seeing the point of using it other than live chatting once in a while.

I'm not sure if you have a different perspective on it while not being me, but I do think that the bulk of the reason is that I just don't prefer its format to begin with, and then I got sick of being ignored when I did reach out there

Basically, I'm not too concerned about my side of it because 1) The server will just be the two of us, so I have literally no pressure relating to anyone else; 2) I want to make it as low-pressure as possible for the both of us, hence the activity component where we can end things at anytime and restart things only if we want.

But ofc, if seeing a lot of unfinished rols bothers you/actually causes you stress, then I don't want to stress you out over it either. Can't just think about myself lol.

With that being said, could you please elaborate on what you mean by hassle, and your opinion on the inactivity component? For the first part, are you referring to something like the rol going inactive because I go inactive on Discord as a whole?
Ofc, if you have an alternative in mind that you'd prefer or just any adjustments that you'd want to make, definitely let me know. I just am mostly worried that I don't know your characters very well, even the ones from GGaD...and you know how painful that is lol
I'm open to just continuing to imagine things and write short excerpts that you could vet once in a while. Like rn I really want to verify what Alma and Yao's relationship might have been like lol

I forgot to add that I'm sorry that I'm typing like this rn. I've been feeling anxious the past few days for. literally no reason (if I type weirdly I'm probably sleep-deprived lol, it's not that I'm not enthusiastic or friendly)

Im trying to remember what I meant tbh uhhhh I think I meant hassle as in having to go back and bump the thread/ask each other for continuation but tbh now that I think about it, it probably wouldn't be that much of a problem so idk what I was going on with that

Well if you remember any other concerns or what you meant, just let me know xD and if you ever want to say something, including giving feedback or pointing out something I'm being inconsistent about in terms of what I say I'll do vs. what I do, definitely tell me outright. I feel like I'm a lot more likely to become frustrated when there is inadequate communication compared to like. actually being stressed about about what others think

The only reason why I don't constantly apologize for the way I talk/type is 'cause I tried it IRL and apparently it's super duper annoying.
