"Maybe! He's not with me at the moment, though," he said. "He's with another friend!"
Offline
That's cute, Germaine thought. "Then a meeting must be arranged for the future!"
Offline
"I honestly don't know if I can," Galaxian said honestly. "He spends most of his time near that friend now."
Offline
"That's not a big deal," she said. ,"I'm just glad to know you have a doggie friend."
Offline
"Why?" he asked credulously.
Offline
Germaine seemed ready to explain. "Well, aren't dogs cute? I believe those animals make great companions. They play and are loyal and lift up your mood."
Offline
He beamed. "Max does and is all of those!"
Offline
She put her hands together, pleased. "He sounds absolutely adorable. What breed is he?"
Offline
"He's a Canis lupus familiaris!"
Offline
"Of course," she chuckled. "Breed, I mean, as in poodle, or husky, or beagle. Which one is he? Do you know?"
Offline
"A golden retriever," he replied promptly.
Offline
"That's very cute!"
Offline
"All doggies are," he said with an overenthusiastic nod.
Offline
"But puppies are more so, in my opinion."
Offline
Galaxian never said Max was a puppy, he just said he was a doggie.
A dog could be 80 human years and it'd still be a doggie in Galaxian's eyes, by the way.
Anyways, he thought that opinion over.
Offline
She just mentioned her preferences, not based on any other information.
Offline
Kinda weird time to bring it up, especially if Galaxian didn't have a puppy and wasn't like he was. Possibly offending no matter how much her attitude might've signified otherwise.
Offline
((*insert Narrator disagreeing noises*))
"And how long have you been friends?"
Offline
"I don't know." Galaxian actually didn't even know when he got Max by now.
Offline
"Don't worry about that," Germaine encouraged him.
Offline
(A sassy "Wasn't gonna" echoes somewhere in the non-Forengard background)
Galaxian appeared more bothered than he should've been. He went kind of still and slightly shrugged.
Offline
"Did you have anything else planned for today?"
Offline
"I didn't have anything planned for today in the first place," Galaxian corrected cheerfully.
Offline
"Oh." Germaine decided not to question that. "So that means you don't have a set schedule for later. What do you think, maybe we can hang out?"
Offline
It takes Galaxian few hot seconds to remember what "hang out" means.
"Sure! But the sale might take a while," he said with a hint of worry.
Offline
"That's not a problem. We can always meet up later when you finish helping out."
Offline
Galaxian's really trying to think about how long after 'later' is, so hard that his shoulders are all hunched up. He relaxes them slightly as he says, "I guess I could make another form to stay here in whatever case. How long have you been outside? You probably should go home and take a rest before anything else."
Offline
"'Another form'? Excuse me, I'm curious about that."
Offline
"Oh, just another me," Galaxian said.
Offline
She tilted her head a little to the side. "So, like a clone or something?"
