Lyle didn't respond as he continued glaring at the large man in front of him, unable to control the growing rage within him.
The other two accomplices had tried to make their way to the ivory door, coming in from different directions and carrying some items that would probably help break the door down.

Corinne gathered energy for a quick dash and jumped to tackle the person she was chasing. Her weapon was still held tightly in her hand.
On his part, Kyle continued to run at a steady pace. His approach was different.
"Stop right there or I'll cut you down, thief!" He threatened.
Offline
The first one grunted and tried to get Corinne off, unaware of her weapon.
The second narrowed his eyes as he pulled out his own sword. "I dare you to, little boy," he challenged.
Offline
"Don't move, or you get skewered," she hissed, pressing the tip of her blade against his back.
Kyle almost smiled a little. He took a stance. "This 'little boy' is not as weak as he looks."
Offline
((OHMIGOODNESS YOUR PFP!!!! <3<3<3<3<3))
Corinne's opponent stopped moving instantly, eyes widened as he stared at the weapon.
"Then prove it," the man said, motioning for Kyle to come.
Offline
((XD thanku, I like it as well :D))
"Good. Now stay there."
With her free hand, Corinne pulled out a bit of rope from a pocket attached to her belt in order to tie the man up. Guess it pays to be prepared.
Kyle stepped forward with an intially cautious thrust of his sword.
Offline
((So precious <3 I must meet Dion one of these days))
The man just stayed still surprisingly.
He deflected it to the side, having not moved a step.
Offline
((UwU))
The sword was redirected with a stronger sideways slice. Kyle checked the opponent.
Offline
Going with a parry, it was a bit known that Kyle's opponent may be a bit weak in his defenses.
Offline
Seeing this, he put more strength into his attack. Strong arms ;).
Offline
The man's eyes slightly widened, as he realized his mistake and tried to defend against Kyle's obvious mastery.
Offline
"What do you say now, hm?" Kyle taunted.
Corinne, having finished with her opponent, stood to help Kyle.
He made a 'don't interfere' gesture, to which she nodded.
She went around to check on Lyle.
Offline
That ignited the man's frustration and anger, deciding to just put on a volley of thrusts and slices at a rapid pace.
Lyle and the other man (presumably the leader) were nowhere near where Corinne last saw them.
Offline
Kyle blocked with his sword, eyes steady. He was forced to retreat a step.
Corinne frowned. She looked around for any hints of where they could have gone.
Offline
The man continued with his assault, knowing it might end badly for him.
The signs of any struggle was absent--but that gunshot sound is definitely worth some concern.
Offline
He pressed his lips together. It would be easier to just go for a kill, but that was just what he had been asked to not do. Instead, Kyle sought to injure the other's arm(s).
Corinne's eyes widened as she ran towards the source of the sound, gripping her weapon tightly.
Offline
The man flinched as Kyle's sword cut his sword arm and he switch to his left hand, doing pretty decent for fighting left-handed.
Through a break, Lyle stood over the still body of the leader, breathing hard with his (er, not his) gun in his hand. The butt end of the gun had some blood on it and Lyle looked like he had been running a marathon but was not injured in any way. The leader's head and face was bruised and bloodied, a gunshot wound in his head.
Offline
Half-down. The smile began to return to Kyle's lips as he pressed on, advancing his steps.
Corine didn't bother to remember what Lyle's name was (he could be Kyle, for all she knew). She looked at the dead man, then back at the assassin.
"You killed him."
Offline
The man's fear was now evident as he realized his dreadful mistake. He winced as Kyle's sword cut his right thigh, doing his best to defend his left side because of him fighting left-handed.
A slight dark, triumphant smirk tugged at the corner of Lyle's mouth as he looked down at the body. "So I did."
Offline
Kyle's comfortable fighting against a weakened opponent. It's easier.
"I can see that," she said in a rather normal voice, "but that's not what we were supposed to do."
Offline
He glanced at her from the corner of his eyes, slightly narrowing them. "Maybe to you two....but not to me." Looking down once more, he tossed his gun down next to the body and took of his bloody glove. "I've done my job." He sighed and turned away, closing his eyes. "How about you two?"
Offline
"I'm done with mine, and I think the other guy's under control well. Are you going to hide the body?"
Offline
He looked at her fully now, giving her a slight blank stare. "Why should I?"
Okey....swordman be givin' up now.
Offline
"It doesn't seem right to leave it around in a place like this," she shrugged. "I'll help you with it."
Kyle used the opportunity to kick his opponent to the ground and threaten him immobile with his sword.
Offline
Lyle rolled his eyes. "Whatever."
Offline
"Right." Corinne looked around for a good place to pick as a hiding spot. "I'm not saying shooting him was wrong, but... well, never mind. The job's done."
Offline
"...Yeah." A grin slowly crossed his lips as he slightly chuckled. "Yeah...the job's done," he muttered darkly.
Offline
((Tbh that was scary in my mind o.o or maybe I just get scared too easily xD))
"And that's what matters," stated Corinne with a vague hint of cheer. "Guess it wasn't hard for you."
Meanwhile, Kyle thought about how to keep his "prisoner" where he was without a risk of escape. He didn't have rope to tie him up.
"Hey, you guys done yet? Sure sounds like it," he hollered.
Offline
((😅 Yeah...Lyle be a bit....*clears throat* when he was younger))
Lyle sighed, briefly closing his eyes. "Of course it wasn't hard," he replied stiffly. He opened his eyes and kicked the remaining, loose dirt and leaves covering the body. "Coming!" he called back to Kyle, turning to leave without a backwards glance.
Offline
Corinne shrugged and followed Lyle. She wasn't going to complain about this.
"About time!" went the reply.
