Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I think it's pretty funny that I like heavy metal and rock, not to be biased or anything.

Also I wonder if it's cheating that most of my playlist at this point is just from Arknights or Arknights Endfield

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Looking back at my RPing thread in the Other section is funny because I only remember ending it at talking about Run (ofc I would talk about Run). Turns out I AI generated something back in 2022 for the funnies.

It's still funny. (none of it makes sense)

The other week (not day because it's been a while) I saw some dude with Dion's last name on the headlines for murder and my first thought was "Hey that's Dion's last name!" Then my mind desperately tried to make connections. This is a live demonstration for why the mind should not try to make connections for everything.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Learning is always forgetting where pH equals pKa for a titration
Tutoring is apparently reviewing this for the umpteenth time so I don't mislead the tutoree, 30 minutes before the tutoring session.

still have no idea how Run did it, and now I'm wondering how Rensa and Run would get along. Probably reasonably well even though they're from wildly different situations.
How would Run react to Rensa wearing a dress, I wonder. (I never did get that sanity back)

Also, Rensa would not be able to help Run lol. He has that "dude surrounded by tragic characters" vibe. He has his hands full with his kiddos/honorary nephews plus Hitan and the F/DA cast, he really doesn't need another dude to fill the quota

Just in case this is helpful for anyone else (if you're taking chem classes), just remember that if the solution is a buffer, pH = pKa when the concentrations of the conjugate acid/base pair are equal. Not the concentration of sodium hydroxide or whatever that you are adding to the buffer with that of the acid in the buffer. Not the concentration of hydrochloric acid that you're adding to the buffer with that of the base in the buffer. It's the concentration of whatever base was in the buffer and whatever acid was in the buffer.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Ashiya Douman's design is so good and his character is so very entertaining but man oh man I would wrangle him the first chance I get
Me when I nearly accidentally plagiarize his hair coloring pattern. Whoopsie

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Technically you can't say I plagiarized it if I came up with a much worse yet similar patterning years before I saw him (leaving myself an exit route in case this leads to something better)

Visual confirmation: Rider looks hella cool when he's dripped out.
The problem: That ain't his design,,,

I swear when I draw Saber I learn color theory and then when I draw Rider I forget what colors are

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

My dreams need to stop giving me art and thread replies that do not exist
At this point I talk to y'all in my dreams more than I do in real life.
(Specter said they drew their favorite persona of Galaxian and then drew the Mamba with Galaxian's face next to the Cheetah?? idk this was 5 seconds before I woke up to my second alarm lol)

Also slightly ticked because I think I dreamed of Rider's design but none of it is retained by my mind,,, we could have at least remembered one detail

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Oh sure we always talk about Li Bai's poems about being homesick but not the one where he's weirdly genocidal in the name of patriotism

(Learning Chinese history is a pathway to many emotions that some might call...unnatural [immediate extreme shame and hypocrisy])

It's also vaguely weird to read "his rule was seen as a good time since he lowered taxes and conscription rates" and then the next part is about executing people for not conducting sacrificial rituals to the gods

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I will never understand why we can't double down on the ethics of why it is wrong to discriminate against other people or justify one's own group as the superior one chosen by some vague higher power and make it a point to shame those who can't adhere to that.

Psychologically and sociologically I know why, and culturally/politically I know why too, but specifically I have no idea why.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Anyways, Berserker backstory development inspiration yay (*suffering*)

Yesterday, I saw two thumbnails where one was Light during that one scene and the other was Ardashir from Endfield at the same exact angle but wildly different expressions. It was pretty funny.
Also, I think Ardashir is funny, but bro has the worst negotiating tactics to get someone to join their side ever.
Bro really says "Join us again." and his argument is, "If you don't, I will try to hurt your loved ones." You are welcome to try.
(There is nothing positive about that offer whatsoever)

Who would win (over the Endmin), people on a big space ship who are always friendly and do daily gift exchanges with them, or people who are constantly trying to commit war crimes with lethally poisonous muck

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Final weird thought before I start going insane on Berserker and Rider again: I keep thinking what future generations will think about our deluge of anime fanart. Is it sort of like how we look at ancient people's art?
It's always a very funny thought tbh.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I can't believe that the solution was just to make his hair an actual black I'm gonna cry (for context, for GGaD!Galaxian, the trick went in the opposite direction--I had to make his hair more bluish-violet than black end me lol)
