Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Rai, strangely, does feel like the sort of dude who would get made fun of by forum!Silence of all people
She calls him stick-thin for literally no reason. He's also literally a teen. And Hitan is obviously scrawnier at that age. She doesn't care.

I think maybe it has to do with the fact that "Rai getting revenge" is subconsciously just not a thought for people, apparently. (And by people I mean Wiley and Silence...man is it weird that they agree on something)

This is even funnier when you think about the fact that he absolutely does take revenge, maybe not in malicious ways but dude has a blackmail journal in the forums world and you would think that people would realize that it's for a reason

Maybe it has to do with the fact that he doesn't really roast her immediately like teen Hitan does
Lesson of the day, forum!Silence would rather play the long game (/hj, I'm not actually joking about any of this)

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Honestly this is getting even more interesting to think about, because clearly Rai does roast some people immediately (he roasts Wiley and Helen immediately), so I guess he goes easier on Silence? Or maybe he thinks that she might give him flamethrower treatment. But also, Rai's sense of danger is...

...Or...
...

...yeah, I don't understand him.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I also think it's kinda funny that Rai and Silence have a whole relationship in my head but they act like they don't interact at all in canon (save for Silence's indication that he annoys her, but tbh everyone annoys her. She's not wrong for it but I'm just saying.)

It's different from the fact that no canon relationships are really shown at this point. I'm talking about the stuff I swirl around in my head. It's kinda fascinating how the two of them specifically have some kinda shared personality trait of acting like they're strangers for no reason at all

I also keep thinking that maybe Rai did something to make Missy hate him but tbh I think Missy would hate him anyways.
Now the question is, why does Missy like Galaxian. There is no way he hasn't done something that should have made her hate him, plus he then probably did it repeatedly

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Now I'm thinking that Galaxian did all the stuff to make Missy hate Rai (Missy wanted to like the kid so bad that she projected all her negative feelings onto Rai), which is pretty dang hysterical imo.

Y'know what's even more hysterical, if this is also why Silence acts the way she does to Rai (she compartmentalizes all the annoying hecking stuff Galaxian does and somehow makes it something Rai did in her head)

I'm not going to, mainly because I want to learn more about Iridian and Decrescendo, who I don't have writing rights over and who don't have a more active world going on. Meanwhile, I can think about forum!Silence in the forums world whenever I want. I might have some backstory knowledge gaps but when have I ever cared about that.
Also I think it'd be a tad too mean to burden forum!Silence with the Idiot Gang. I mean Gangsta Gang. No, I mean Idiot Gang.

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Imagining Silence playing Wordle and the first word she plays is always "Moron" or "Fools" even though there are two O's in there and therefore either choice is always technically impractical.
She derives it from real-life inspiration.

Funny mental image of this one day where she was so sleep-deprived (plus other stuff) she was trying to cram "buffoon" into the 5-letter space and was getting frustrated that it wasn't working. The following day, she realized that Hitan was looking over her shoulder the entire time and didn't say anything.
Hitan then said that he just thought she was trying to spell balloon and wanted to let her have her process (this made his time-out worse in duration)

I like to imagine that forum!Silence always uses the most outrageous, dramatic-looking fonts whenever she can. She technically doesn't do schooling and technically she wouldn't have a signature since she's not a forumer, but the idea is there.

I'm sure someone has told her that it makes her seem like an edgy teen, but she's just ignored them.

I think her handwriting is really pretty, though it takes her forever to write.
Rai waiting for her to write a check (she swirls her y's and g's to spite him)

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

Sometimes (but when it happens, all the time) I think about how excluding Martin, my favorite Echo and Specter characters are tsunderes, which implies that I act cold toward characters at first but then warm up to them over time like a t...ts...

Sorry, joke aside, it's actually because I'm the most familiar with them. I treat forum!Silence like I would one of my own characters (I bully her and make fun of her), and Dion...ig it's because he fits very well with Wiley, and I drag him everywhere for no reason.
I need to work on Rai and Dion more. It's kinda weird how Dion and Wiley go together so well. Ofc, it's only potential in my head, since I don't actually understand him very well. Imo, Rai and Dion do have some good potential that just hasn't been expanded on enough (Rai is Hard to Develop, what can I say). And ig Dion will keep ignoring Raez lol.

For forum!Silence, I make fun of her and her entire social circle (or maybe I should say I make fun of her entire social circle, and then her as well), but I genuinely find her relationship with others touching. "Others" mostly meaning Hitan for now, but I'm sure there's something going on for Galaxian and Rai. (*trying to gaslight self*)
There's something touching about a dramatic lady and a hella annoying kid who, despite differences in everything else, WOULD give their all to protect each other. Also they share hobbies in the funniest ways. I don't think I expand much on hobbies but Hitan is such a nerd when it comes to his hobbies and it's really neat how Silence supports him. She is also a nerd when it comes to her hobbies, and he does the same btw. It's super neat. I will talk about them doing cosplay together one day

Ofc, I also find it touching that Dion adopts Wiley in SS. It's not something that I would've imagined would be canon a few years back, but it is now and man oh man is Wiley annoying, but the entire situation is very endearing. It does make me feel like I owe him a lot (and initially Rai already had some thoughts on the topic so it's just compounding)...I don't regret it though. I think.
It is a bit unfortunate that since I don't know much about Dion in general, I can't do him much justice in terms of AU Gold Saint dev. But it's fine, he and Aureole can be undeveloped together (but Aureole has been giving me some inspiration later so I think I might need to catch up on this lol)

Also I wanna ramble about Pete a lot but that doesn't really make sense.

(*literally incapable of shutting up*) Okay but what about that one (period of) time where Hitan kept narrating people like "their flabbers were gasted" and Silence thought it was proper English and parroted it for a While. She eventually found out through the internet and was not pleased.
Upon bringing the topic up to Hitan, the angel replied, "So I suppose your flabber was gasted." And she chased after him with a hopefully metaphorical knife

Sometimes I think about how LC Shion's limit to instant teleportation is apparently "the number of people he can grab with both hands and arms" (2)

Then Dohko proceeded to not die when he was killed. He woke up on some island ig. Idk what happened in between.

I need to look back at LC, but I keep losing it because of how they overemphasized Alone's evil features and made him look like he was at least 15 years older than he actually was on average in the anime
[He got a new form in SSA btw]

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I have to say, extremely platonically, that Raez has really, really nice legs. I think this every time I sketch his full-body portrait lol
Actually he has nice everything. Again, imo. Platonically.

Imo, I as his creator should be able to compliment anything about his design without adding a platonic disclaimer, but sometimes I forget and then I get caught in a 12-year-old spat with Wiley where we just call each other the gay one. I'm not even close to gay, I just get wrapped up in his nonsense. Anyways yeah.
Also, 12-year-old as in I feel like it's something 12 year olds would do, not that this has gone on for 12 years. I actually remember this happening in middle school.
It probably will go on for 12 years though. I think this is...what? Year 5????

Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I gotta say, if having aura were a competition, Raez would win out of the Triad pretty easily

It's possible that Pete might become a good competitor for whatever the heck that friend group will end up being called, but also that doesn't really fit their vibe I think. Raez, meanwhile, is a weird mix of his "the heck this dude doing" moments and aura farming for literally no reason

Unfortunately I never know what clothes to draw for him, so I end up subtracting aura just with that. Plus the entire facial proportion thing. There's something about Rai, Raez, and Katsura where I cannot draw their faces correctly. Maybe something called "Galaxian can't draw in general and somehow nothing seems to help, holy crap!"

Wiley says I should just draw him shirtless. This is a 4-year-old joke Wiley, it's not funny anymore Wiley. Be quiet Wiley. Also keep this on my personal document please Wiley.

Putting aside the fact that I keep getting called gay by one of my characters (btw, Wiley, this is called psychological projection and this is why I keep begging either Sistema or Eibhlin to gain an interest in psychology so they can tell you this instead of me) (do not make me start imagining how SS!Dion would react to you going out of the closet. Re: Cosmic Dim. (V. XVIII), You're Correct but You're Not Right

I meant "forfeiture" btw. Not "forfeiting".
I remembered the word today.
Google does not help at all nowadays.

Definitely related to the above, but it kinda astounds me how people will defend AI like it's their child by blood. I'm not talking about in a moral sense (though that is also bewildering), I'm talking about how they will defend answers that are clearly wrong by what we just learned. But also they have no idea why the AI generated what it did (they don't read the source), and they also don't read its reasoning, and they also didn't listen in class so they don't understand that reasoning either, so in the end it becomes a debate of "but this is what the AI says" "that's incorrect because of so-and-so concept" "nuh uh"
I wonder if maybe acknowledging the AI is wrong would mean acknowledging that they need to put in more work in learning than copying down answers to problems that were given to them by that AI (and then being wrong about it, therefore wasting time).

I wonder if STEM has always been like this, just in a different way lol. Otherwise how do you explain some healthcare workers being the way they are.

Btw, AI does have its uses. Imo, the textbook industry being so dead-set on gatekeeping answer keys and writing/formatting clearer solutions for problems means that for questions where the teachers/teaching team can't explain adequately on the spot or are otherwise unavailable, it's often much more helpful to try jotting down my thoughts on how to proceed on a problem and then ask AI some guiding questions to see which parts of the question I'm overcomplicating and which parts are more generally correct.
Even with that said, AI is astoundingly inaccurate and inflexible. It's helpful when used as a tool, but I have the personal opinion that using it to organize workflow will be a big mistake most of the time, and humans' tendency to over-rely on anything that's convenient will probably result in (very foreseen) consequences.

So anyways, I'm getting sick of showing people the exact formula on the equation sheet that the professor provided to us, only for them to say that "this is what the AI said." And then they go to the professor to complain that the equation wasn't given to them. Sometimes I think we speak different English.
Toddlers are more receptive to feedback, honestly. Like that little girl would at least pause to listen to my advice before continuing to scream in my face.

Btw formally speaking, my favorite character from QXZ who isn't Hei Xiaohu is probably either Hongmao or Tiaotiao. I can't really choose since they're both on the same side but are silly in different ways (Hongmao is The childhood hero for a lot of people lol, Tiaotiao is the silly double agent who somehow pulled it off despite being so silly)
I'd like to see more of Tiaotiao tbh. He's a mystery character even after showing his true colors.
