it's been uh. forever since i last said anything on the forum board. hi i'm still alive and thinking about abysshunt(renamed that worldbuilding thing i was working on)

recent developments with it are that the nok nyow has elemental spirits somehow connected to the crystals they use to "enchant" tools and weapons. also kelp that eats you lives off the coast of the dun waiting for the frequent fights of the god beasts to roll over the shoreline for it to feast on their strength.

also dust, trove, and ash have new names. rothni, srolun, and rolufim/the old king. rothni is the embodiment of the nadir, the depths of the sea betwix the four lands, and is the fifth lord, the abyssal starless lord, who keeps its den of rozna in the eternal winter of the sunless land. also is firmly a serpent rather than wolf nyow. srolun is an ember from the brazier of the sun, given life and domains through the worship of the kinoc, and seeks all knowledge, and keeps the secrets of the dead lord of the sun close to their heart. the old king is the starborn lord of vol, who writes fate in his tapestry of stars, and snares the roltkin in a cycle of resurrection until their souls and stars give out, reducing them to crumbling stone. he also keeps the muses of everything forgotten and known as his jester and advisor, and enforcers of his will.

also lycaon is both an actual person nyow, and the main character. he is a young roltkin, yet to die his first death, yet found to have been born without a star, marking him as a rozna and outcast from his home to redeem himself by slaying the devil who claims all whom live outside fate, rothni. he fails badly because while he is still supposed to be one of the most skilled swordsmen ever, he is a mortal trying to fist fight the ocean like a week after it devoured the grotesque husk of cruelty that had once been the brilliant lord of the sun.
