I know the context but am choosing to ignore it.Β
Y'all know the rules. Square up, time to fight to the death for Specter's entertainment.

There's a local waffle place that I passed the other day and its "mascot" is a life size cardboard cutout of King Dice except that the face was replaced with a waffle. They kept the features, just replaced the die with a waffle.
It's been an interesting choice for a mascot idk

So obssessed over these videos and their style and storytelling. Some of the scenes are a bit gruesome but I feel like it really portrays well the emotion of the story being told. Granted, that as any interpretation of historical figures, you can't really tell how truthful it is. I've been so interested in these videos that later I'mma investigate to fact check because holy moly there's some seriously impressive details about these that I'm not sure if they're true or not. Please don't sleep on these and check them out cause I ended up really liking them lol
[The tale of a man who became Dracula]
The intergration of myth and reality in this first one is masterful. I have to admit I'm not well-versed in Vlad's real life lore but dang, I really like the characterization for him in the video. Character design slaps too. I can't imagine the pain of having to give up your son and protect your home country at the same time.
With the ending part of the legend reffering to "that woman", the channel has a video abt Elizabeth Barthory but I didn't like it too much so I'm not linking it.
[The last pharaoh]
This one and the previous one are my favorites. I never thought I'd shed a tear for Cleopatra but the way it's presented is just so tragic... again, the characterization really made me empathize with her and I'm not sure of how realistic that PoV is but her thoughts combined with the symbolism (like her son giving her wings) really hits in the feels. In this one, I particularly love how the historical narration parts are then followed by Cleopatra's direct thoughts and feelings. I'm more familiar with her tale, so I know some of the details wordlessly presented through the animation such as her presenting to Caesar wrapped inside a rug, but still, never thought I'd be sad over Caesar's assassination. Also Cleopatra's design is so pretty like her face is so expressive and it goes beyond normaly beauty, but holy-- Octavius looks REALLY good lol.
[Orleans ensemble]
And then there's this other one that I'm not sure how I feel about, but it's most definitely interesting. I totally dig the style too. I have to say I never thought of Jeanne d'Arc being portrayed as mentally ill. And I don't know what to think about that, I genuinely don't know how rooted in history that characterization is, but regardless I think the way it's presented makes for a really cool story to watch.
Btw, I LOVE they included the detail of that when Jeanne went to find the prince, she was able to instantly spot him hidden among his court people despite having never met him before. Just one more of the parts of the story that is shown through the animation and not narrated with the voice. I'm the most familiar with her story out of the videos that I've posted here, and there's such a strong tendency to see her as a saint (I think she's one but I might be wrong) and holy woman just like the ending narration says, that it makes me kind of conflicted to see a different representation. The way it's shown though, and how the narration even says "HISTORICAL FIGURES ARE NO EXCEPTION" (to mental illness), it makes for an awesome video. I like the way her supposed DID is shown with certain aspects of her "holier" character shown in whites and yellow while the other side and the hallucinations are in blacks and reds. It's slightly disturbing and I'm sure it's meant to be. The end is really chilling too. Like a genuine "what if?".
Please help me I'm so obsessed over this

Forever grateful for modern medicine
I think there's a couple things regarding this I could post but mostly I'm thinking about how I randomly got synovitis about two months ago and even though the cure made me even MORE traumatized with needles (πππ) it was so much quicker than... I don't know, just waiting it out or something? And since that day I wonder how people treated these kinds of problems before injections were a thing like

In 2024 Dove company publicly pledged to never use AI-generated models for their ads because their brand image is designed to promote "real beauty" and even if the reasons behind it are brand consistency and such I just think it's something pretty nice (I hope they stick to their promise)

Dear heavens above why is it SO HARD to level up my Two Time. Istg I leveled Builderman to 20 with about an hour of playtime but I've been with Two Time for much longer and they're like, level 13.
Getting to level 100 is going to be a long, long, longggggg road... but I NEED the Nightshade skin.
Actually, I'd be happy with the milestone 3 skin. Still tho lvl 75 is a long way to go.
I just have a skill issue, what can I do?
(I was trying to upload a screenshot of me having FINALLY been able to respawn Two Time yesterday and made them dance Caramelldansen but it's not working rip)

Now having been able to respawn a GRAND TOTAL of 5 times out of all the rounds I've played with Two Time... I love the little :D they do upon reappearing (it's lowkey cute, just don't think about it too much or it becomes horrifying)
I also found out that apparently it's canon that they hear voices...
But also: TWO TIME MILESTONE 1 SKIN LESGOOOO (got them to lvl 25 at last,,,, I just needed to stop being skill issued /hj) (I was only able to do it cause I was in a lobby with new players)
I wanted to get screenshots but I forgor. So have these instead.
It also comes with the little picture in Two Time's waist that I absolutely zoomed into and then here's the picture image
And the official render that, upon getting the skin, came with the quote: "I trusted you more than I've ever trusted in my life."
I love these guys so much if I don't draw fanart of Azure one day I will literally tear out my hair

Silly little something that I don't think I'll finish
I don't think there's any further meaning to this but you can totally think up whatever, I just thought it'd be kind of interesting to visualize it this way.
Iiiiiiii Definitely don't draw Specter enough for how much I like 'em. They're so silly though xD
This was meant to be tweened in Alight Motion as a GIF so if I ever get to it I guess I'll probably share if. I'm experimenting with tweening lately and I don't have the hang of it yet for sure, but I think I'm starting to understand a bit better of how it works.
