If I think about the original idea of what you posted for that initial otome game post it's feel less cringe for me to think that it's a dating sim but the goal is to get friendzoned by every character (it's not even a goal it just happens)

I particularly love Dion and Anima because at least Dion and Rai, Raez, and Wiley have at least 20 pages of interactions each with each other, meanwhile Dion and Anima's canon relationship is just "this is the women's restroom" "huh"
It's sorta like when shippers ship two characters who've barely met. I do the same with friendships lol
(I like to imagine that even when Dion eventually figures out Rai and Anima are a couple [headcanon #2: Rai figures it out after Dion does /j], he never thinks of Anima as Rai's girlfriend lol, she's just...Anima.)
(Me realizing this relationship is just Introvertception where they just don't get in each other's way. But maybe there's a bit more to it [biting tongue so I don't start spewing nonsense lol])

I have no clue as to if they would get along or not but I think Dion kind of doesn't have negative interactions with people who aren't annoying to him. Unfortunately his status as a friendship-style-tsundere also means he doesn't get along too well with people who are explicitly good to him xD. But I can't see Anime falling into either of these categories so I... I still don't know lol

Art style-wise: I think the RRW Triad fit it better than Dion because all of them can have a more mature look to them depending on artist intent ~~ignore how I know this~~

Roles-wise: I also think that they could work well with the roles that characters in the genre tend to have. For instance, Rai is the shady dude who's hard to read or whatever. Perpetual smirkster. His appearance can do whatever and sometimes he has cool powers ig. Wiley's the mad scientist and walking relationship red flag who people feel drawn to for some reason ~~ignore how "people" in canon is Raez /srs~~. And Raez is supposed to be somewhat more conventionally attractive, he probably has a kinda edgy story that for some reason people seem to like. Salvation through love or whatever.
In a similar vein, I think Dion would fit well because he's the younger, more naive dude who gets flustered easily and probably bounces off well with the other guys in terms of interactions :-P. Plus there's always the added tilt of the self-insert "being the one" to spur a development of some sort, which is much, much harder for Rai and Wiley than Raez and Dion imo.

As for situation...that really depends on the premise, but with the absolute capability the RRW Triad have for setting themselves (individually or as a group) into Situations, I think anything would work. Like honestly as their writer, they just get themselves into stuff. I don't even push them into it, I just get inspired, show them a world, and then they just go off and get into trouble lol ~~and then I have to design them, and do a terrible job~~. Along with their sitcom tendencies, I think they fit particularly well with the otome genre's tendency to go immediately into cliches/tropes for narrative purposes.
In my humble opinion, this means that Dion could very well be looped into whatever the setting is, but I don't feel like he's as readily available or willing? So he probably limits it a bit. I just feel like in some worlds he immediately hits his tolerance quota xD (I'm still amazed he didn't hit it in SS yet)

But for the maturity end of things, I think most of the guys are too immature to start having a romantic relationship as of most canons :-P actually, it's because Wiley and Raez are the same amount of immature that my mind tends to pair them up together. I don't think the in-game characters being teenagers exclude them from the genre, but maybe it's a bit off-putting for the audience to del with that. Were you thinking about this too when you asked about it?

Shh. They're just max-levelling their bond points (mentioning this because I imagine them both playing video games silently, anyone else comes in and looks at their screens and it turns out they're playing something intensely competitive and time-based against each other lol)

What I'm hearing on the entire dynamics thing is that Dion is geared for borderline unhealthy relationships 💀

Well anyways, to spare you from more delusional rambling, I like to imagine they're those friends who keep each other grounded but when you look at them, you're like..."wait this doesn't actually make sense". Like they'll both stand there like "what" during more funny shenanigans, so you think that both of them are more commonsensical people who share that common ground. But Anima also drags Dion along with her to look for ghosts. Like beginner level ghosts (she thinks he'd get scared, but then he takes that personally and goes to look for 'high-level ghosts' lol whatever that means). Also sometimes she be judging on how he handles relationships and general situations (she would call him a tsundere in the most matter-of-fact way lol).

This was actually just an excuse to bring up Anima (I love her sm but I can't finish art of her xD)

Most of the time I angst myself when I think about him, and today I was doing that too (as I have been doing), but then I remembered he's that one guy who got fired from Subway along with his girlfriend because she thought going to work was an all-day buffet and he, a teacher, wasn't able to explain the concept of employment and taxes to her.
I think it's because I had Subway coupons in my backpack. Anyways, I haven't been able to get back into angst mode again

I find it pretty funny how being at school in the classroom with all the bright sun and indoor lights makes me go into agony (headaches/migraines galore) but I am also the same person who was able to fall asleep consistently with a bright light in my face pretty much every night

Also, photosensitivity is really prevalent in those with ADHD, but I think this one just comes from my mom lol. (ofc, she doesn't quite get the headaches every single time like I do, but y'know)

Waited the entire day to type headcanons about the Not-Quad Squad in a roommate situation (technically they are canonically roommate pairs already but I digress, I was talking about all four of them in the same living place and the most likely universe for this would be RIP. Feel free to imagine a college student AU tho lol)

The first sentence I thought was that it'd be funny, because Raez is the only one with a proper sleep schedule. Dion stays up late, Rai goes days without sleeping at a time, and Wiley...has a really screwed up "schedule" (just don't bring it up with him, or he'll debate the definitions of a schedule with you and he will not shut up)
So basically Raez goes to bed really early, maybe a bit later than in canon but still around 9 to 10 o'clock at the latest, and everyone else is up 'til at least 2 A.M. I feel like Dion is the sort who regrets the decision every following day but doesn't change it because Wiley and Rai are horrendous influences in this area. Mostly Rai, because I feel like Dion maybe feels like he doesn't want to miss anything that's going on. Btw he misses absolutely nothing lol, except for maybe some chatting with Rai because Rai is slightly more talkative in the night than in daytime.
I feel like Dion is the sort of person who will stay up late for games because he played a way too stimulating game for his own good and couldn't put it down (got too competitive, accidentally stayed there for hours to prove his superiority.) (The thought of Dion being rude in the chat is kinda funny). And then this keeps happening.
Wiley is a pretty quiet person during the nighttime unless you bother him and interrupt his workflow, in which case he will start making you regret it (not intentionally, he's just built this way)
Raez doesn't think about asking Rai when he slept because Rai genuinely looks fine every single time. Even though he's been up like 300 hours in a row

I think that Dion might occasionally eat a midnight snack when he gets hungry (hungy) (why do I smell Goldfish crackers IRL? wth). Otherwise he isn't that fond of them.
Rai and Wiley never eat anything at night, unless Rai gets free coffee from somewhere, in which case he thinks it's funny to drink it in the middle of the night and feel Nothing from it (good excuse to keep staying up tho)

Basically it's a relatively peaceful time (even though Dion would probably throw pillows at the wall when raging in a game)

Fun Wiley trivia of the day: In a hypothetical otome game situation, Raez being in the cast does not preclude the possibility of him developing a crush on the cute protagonist

I typed this just for fun but that kinda makes me think that I'd be queerbaiting the audience a lil between these two lol. Cursed. Other than that, it doesn't surprise me.
However, I really do feel like it...really isn't out of the picture for Wiley or Raez to fall in love with someone, even a relatively generic female protag, because generic or not, it's someone who accepts them for who they are and even likes them for it. I mean, maybe we need more generic otome protags in real life /hj plus they're usually pretty [Wiley has a weakness to pretty people lol, I think he got it from his mom]
Mostly joking, but not totally. It's kinda weird to think about Raez catching feelings tho.

I also find it funny how Dion keeps refusing to be closer to Raez in different universes lol. But honestly, Raez is the sort of guy who you either feel close to immediately or feel off-put by. He's not like Wiley, who has a weird thing going on (probably get away from him tho, that's probably the better choice)

My profs have been finding it hilarious (actually just one, she's super understanding lol. I'm afraid of the other profs not understanding but there's only so much I can communicate when we don't know each other very well. It's like this every hecking semester)

Wiley is really getting me

Also 2-3 hour labs got elevated to 2 8 hour labs per week lol. So that's kinda why.

Biggest red flags are the homework software and my bio prof making a certain joke about COVID-19 at the end of the first class after he gave off some...questionable vibes upon seeing me with a face mask on
I can't avoid this class, so let's just hope my charisma stat is enough lol (,,,)

Also could church people please stop beelining for me and asking if I need Jesus or prayer. Like today this woman really came up to me and asked me if I needed anything through prayer. I was this close to telling her, "Yes, actually, I was praying you'd leave me alone as soon as I saw you, and look where that got me." Like guys, I have my phone out for a reason. I take it out as soon as I see you why? So I can stonewall you. Please stop ramming your head on the stone wall I beg you
