Apparently I zoned out for 4 hours and suddenly it's 4 A.M.! (what the heck)
This keeps on happening to me.

Anywho, just reporting that I cannot draw Hitan currently lol. Lovely.
But of course Rai showed up in profile view, just smirking at my attempts at drawing his bro. I am going to get him.

I think maybe it's an art style problem, since I haven't drawn Hitan in...a hot bit
I've sketched him recently but he never turns out right lol.
Anyways. Bruh moment. I think I also need some more story inspiration to connect to his character again lol. Also need to reconcile how I draw physical ages somehow (comparing 21-year-old F/DA Sunny and 23-year-old Run moment...I guess 22-year-old Rensa and Hitan also count lol)

Also just mentioning that outside of profile view I don't draw Rai correctly either,,, I think I have a sketch of him that's closer to my current style, but it doesn't feel totally right
Maybe I should just practice more instead of drawing Run like a maniac. Maybe that's it :')

Trying to think of my OCs in the otome genre and it's kinda cursed
Rai is the funniest to think about for this one because he is literally the guy you can't date (verified third wheel in all canons). I mean, he'll stick around for plot and stuff but he friendzones himself and it's really funny ~~wouldn't stop fans but hey~~
Otome games and I have a history (of me making fun of them)

Anyways, almost done with Elbert's route...all I can say for sure is the road to hell is paved to good intentions (apparently the road of love also). I'll discuss thoughts later when I finish it.

If I start writing like otome games do, I think I'll lose it (but also, what would I expect, and 100% deserved...Specter doesn't deserve it though LOL haha,,,)

Honestly I think Rai's third wheel energy is so strong that even if Anima were the protagonist of the game and he's the only guy around he would still manage to stay in the friendzone.

Btw, I just make fun of otome games because they tend to feature 7 red flags per route, plus other things that I just don't understand and so of course default to making fun of.
For instance, what exactly is romantic about getting bitten? But also, please don't answer that.

I think I'm kinda a romance fan, though I sorta like it in the background. Ironically, for my characters, I tend to accidentally make it a focal point instead, and I don't seem to be getting better at changing that.
Not that the above should come as a surprise or admission. I think it's more than apparent with what I gush about Wave and Kurome, and Ryouma and Oryou, and other pairs like those that I think are done really well. I don't really care about cliches either, as long as they fit the context.
But anyways, I like healthy relationships. Toxic ones are interesting to analyze, and ofc why they're toxic matters too. I'll ship people if they're toxic in a world due to completely valid reasons, but otherwise would totally complete each other under normal circumstances. That makes the dynamic more interesting, actually.

Also registering for classes one week before classes start because admissions takes this long every time, thank you admissions

Rn my mind is somewhat fixated on the SS AU, but also another AU, and the forums world (mostly trying to make sense of the story) as well as trying to think about design stuff for Hitan and Galaxian.
Whenever I try to think of something, Arknights' Chapter 13 Boss OST starts blaring in my head

Let's see if Hitan can get a design before Logos' next banner (haha bet he can't)

The kinda unfortunate thing is that I dunno if Kurome not going would've helped Run's chances of surviving, but I fervently believe that Wave going along would have increased those odds marginally
Why? Because armor. Plus Wave is pretty OP by that point. I don't see anyone other than Izo (and Syura) giving him too hard a time.
Pain pain pain.

The biggest counterpoint is how Wave doesn't really have a way to deal with Cosmina's Teigu, and Run wouldn't be able to pick both Wave and Kurome up ~~Wave weighs more than a ship /j~~
So I don't think too much about it, but--HAHA! Just kidding. This is literally me overthinking all of it.

It's kinda ironic, because if you think about it, Wave is probably better paired against Champ, Run is better paired against Cosmina, and Kurome can handle Dorothea.and Enshin with her own skills and her puppets. But instead we got Run against Champ, and then Kurome and her puppets against Enshin and Cosmina on a full moon (I can't even excuse this particular blunder lol). At the worst point in the fight, Kurome gets sandwiched by Enshin and Cosmina on both sides with no way to defend herself, followed by Run and her getting ambushed at the same time in the air by Champ. So technically they got cornered by all three members of Wild Hunt after a premeditated ambush launched by them.
Like at least Wave blocked one strike from Susanoo and got yeeted. No matter how you look at it, this tactical error was just so much worse, 'cause at that time, the Jaegers didn't have info on Susanoo being available to Night Raid. In this case, Run was supposed to do the homework and he fumbled the ball hard on himself and Kurome. Plus instead of just flying away with her in tow, he decided to pause midair. Idk. I love Run but the questionable decisions that night must have been reaching some sort of quota

Btw I think Run is smart, but his track record isn't the best, 'cause earlier for Bolic's fight he just sniped a manta and then got counter-sniped by Mine lol. Bro thought he could outfly the miracle sniper rifle. Plus he tried to snipe Akame and nearly got lured to slashing distance by her as well. Honestly all of this was ample foreshadowing for Chapter 48 lol

I think an otome game with the Not-Quad Squad would be funny
I mean in a premise that's totally the same as any other otome game where a female protagonist is forced to be with a group of guys in a slightly far-fetched set of circumstances, but then as time goes on you realize Rai is just THE third wheel, Raez is kinda like. gay or whatever, Wiley is badcrap crazy, and Dion is always in his room
I mean, the dudes are ok friends, they just uhhh.
Anyways it's just a troll game and I think some girls would ship knives to me for its misleading marketing (Specter will send me knives if I add their favorite OC to an otome AU I think)
~~Actually they would make fan content that could kill me on hit~~

Plot twist: It's in the Arknights AU (I think I just killed myself with a boomerang throw)
