Another funny thought is that the Saints (especially the higher up in rank you go) can react to mosquitoes and stuff, but that becomes way too annoying, so instead they have to let bugs bite them. Which sounds painful ngl
Alternatively you could think that their skin is diamond-grade (since they can avoid concussions while being beaten up at light speed) and therefore they don't have to worry about this at all

Tfw you realize SS!Kiaan isn't a Gold Saint because they'd get way too overstimulated to function effectively (/j? /hj?)

Every time I remember how Aiolia manifested Healing Powers (TM) for plot reasons just to never use it again. I laugh. Bro could've been OP, but the author took it away from him (lol)

Gonna loosely discuss my opinion on the Arcade collab. This is your spoiler warning, 'cause today I don't feel like compressing stuff lol.

As an official Arcade collab, it was good. As an unofficial Fate/Last Encore collab, it was amazing. The start was rough, but the characters are very endearing and bounce off each other very well. If anything, I would say that female Merlin feels like she was somewhat shoehorned in because I didn't feel like her presence was as needed, but it wouldn't make sense for her to appear in a summer event and then not appear in a collaboration with what was essentially her source material, so I get it. Draco's personality is also a little rough, but still, she's a good heroine for the event, and the climax of everything felt very befitting for her. It was a lil overdramatic, very fitting for Emperor Nero.
Funnily enough, this collab made me understand Nero more. I was kinda eh about her earlier, mostly 'cause I'm not the biggest fan of her rivalry with Elizabeth (who incidentally I also find annoying). I think this is impressive, seeing as I haven't looked at her actual source material.
Top points: Banter between Setanta (who is so cute) and Locusta (who is so funny). I keep seeing her as kinda a kid, but then I remember she's probably supposed to be a young adult and it becomes funnier that she's having beef with an actual child. Wonder how she'd deal with adult Cu. And then the end. The bond between a Master and Servant pretty much aligns with my preference for multiversal relationships holding constant, and even though I don't know anything about Hakuno and Nero really, I could see how significantly Hakuno cares for Saber. Even if Draco is a mere vestige of a possibility, they still will try their best to help her and find someone who can save her. It's really, really touching. And yes, I did cry lol. I couldn't help it.

Criticisms: There is just so much potential between Tiamat and Nero that was mostly just thrown at us...and that I really wish was used better. I don't mind that it took Tiamat 'til the last second to change her mind, because she's stubborn like that and I know that she's stubborn like that, and also Beasts don't really get along and I get that as well. But the change of mindset didn't have as much oomph as I wished it would have had when it did come around. Maybe it could have been strengthened by exploring Tiamat's character more as well, like adding some of her mythology in and tying it to Nero's whole deal with Agrippina? If you think about it, they're pretty much opposites, and that's why I think they have so much potential. (Tiamat was murdered by her children, and Nero slowly poisoned to death by Agrippina [in Fate]. Plus historical Nero had people stab his mother to death on his own behalf, while Fate's Nero is implied to have directly murdered her herself. Idk, I might be crazy.)
The start was also kinda...weird? I get that we needed to raise the stakes, but this is Chaldea, please. We have like 3 worldending disasters per week. Also in retrospect, I don't quite get why everything was so dire. Since Hakuno(n) ended up being the reason for why Draco and Fujimaru had to form a contract (as Draco wanted to die and summoned many Shadow Servants for this), why the heck was Chaldea so messed up? Did Hakuno do that, or did Draco? At the end everything is kinda just fine and this is unanswered, so here's my daily little problem with suspension of disbelief.

I'm not necessarily unhappy with the way my art has gone, 'cause I think more nowadays and that's always a good thing (little me did not. at all)

I do wish I didn't go from one extreme to the other, though, when it comes to how seriously I try to take every single thing. Like please brain, I don't think we need to "finish" everything or make all the lines as perfect as they can be. 'Cause then the lines can't all be perfect and it's not even fun anymore, and that literally goes against the point? Why are you nuts like this

Unfortunately, it's just perfectionism.
On that note, I've always been aware how arrogant "perfectionism" sounds when I'm describing my art process, because the final product is so far from perfect. It makes me sound really pretentious. Unfortunately psychologically/mentally that is the reason. At least it makes for a good visual illustration of why perfectionism can be such a big flaw.

Btw the other day I realized that since the "same technique shouldn't work on a Saint twice," that means Milo never saw Galaxian Explosion, and Saga/Shaka/Shura never saw Tenbu Horin
Shaka's case makes sense, 'cause it feels like something that he would have refined as he grew up. But Saga's case is kinda,,, iffy,,, (reminder, I don't subscribe to the 100% good Saga theory)

But then that wouldn't hecking make sense, 'cause then only Seiya would've seen Galaxian Explosion and have been able to give a warning about it, compared to Shiryu...oh well

I counted, Saga took 3 punches to the face and then was hit against the wall; Camus took 3 punches to the face and then was hit against the wall; but Shura only got shown getting hit upward

Angularly you can see that Saga was hit at a 90 degree angle and hit the wall sitting, while Camus...kinda just fell flat onto the ground after hitting the wall, meanwhile Shura's body contorted so that he fell facefirst onto the ground, and therefore more net force was exerted on Shura from whatever many punches there were to invert the angle of his body.

Alrighty, with that out of the way, lemme give an inactivity notice. I'll stay logged out of the forum for a bit.
I also won't be responding to Discord until further notice...or until I login again and reply through there, since I probably will forget to give notice. But until then, I won't be looking at it at all, period. Actually, I deleted all versions of it lol.

Expect me to log in here earlier than I will on Discord, so if you want to reach out, feel free to PM here (or reply to a thread if we have a chat thread). Other than that, email will be the best bet since I check it once in a blue moon...I don't think we really use email, though. But I can't guarantee a response 'til I get back.

Reason for absence: There are a few, the biggest of which is the usual one. I don't feel too well, and don't want to accidentally take it out on anyone. Life always finds a way to start sucking around this time of year, I'm noticing.
There are some things I'll need to do once I get back, but that's for later. Procrastination yay.

Duration: No promises for anything this time. Just can guarantee that I won't leave permanently. That's sorta the default, but ah, heck it. Hopefully I can do ArtFight in July, so maybe then...? Or sometime during the summer idk. Again, I dunno. I'll figure it out. Maybe once things cool down a bit, the need for a break in the first place will magically disappear. I need to figure out what I want to do in terms of online presence and stuff. Been having a bit of a crisis in that area, which is probably unnecessary.
It's entirely possible the moment I get out of the current rut I'll be running back here to do my usual spamming, but for some reason it doesn't feel quite right at the moment.

I thought I would be emotionally devastated by IRL stuff on Friday, but as it turned out it would be the SS AU that would pwn me the day after, thanks SS AU. (why you always like this)

I just watched Shura hecking slide up the steps in SSA. It took everything in me to not just lose it right then and there. No, because Camus and Saga ran. He literally just slid.
Also before that there was the fact that they were (again) all buried in like. 1-meter-deep graves. I'd be digging out of there too. So I was kinda losing it already, that pretty much sent me over the edge

I also got Surplice Shura off-banner, so that's there (do you see why I maybe roast Camus. The 100+-pull dude. Shura came in one multi. Same rarity btw, with no rate-up)
God Cloth Aphrodite came as well within a multi or two. Pretty sure he's hecking broken. Dude's skills are 1-1-1-1 and he is wreaking havoc. Surplice Shura also works based on Bleed, so now they're in the same team. Gotta love canonically nonsensical teams.
Anyhow, this is why forum!Galaxian is closer to Aphrodite and Shura than Camus btw (well part of it is because of my historical beef with him and the fact that I didn't want to take away any of Camus' time from Isaak and Hyoga)

God Cloth Saga is for sure in the release future, and there is no way he won't just break the meta. The Gemini just be like that. Free money printers ig.
There are differences in power even amongst the God Cloth characters, though I haven't used many of them (they're very high-investment in general). I'm guessing Milo is sorta middle of the pack in terms of general usage, though maybe good for countering Camouflage in PVP? Of everyone, I feel like I see Shura the most, along with Aldebaran (good for him). I mean, Shura just slices everything. Good for him I guess.
I only have a few God Cloth characters. Mu is coming in a few days (I am begging for shards since I kept not logging in lol). And then I have Aiolia, Shaka, Milo, and Aphrodite, which is kinda...all over the place I guess. They don't form a very coherent team.
I don't have any Surplice Gold Saints except for Shura and Shion (Camus and Saga evade my pulls for these variations), but Sorrento came in a free spinner wheel yesterday, which was a nice surprise (I kinda feel like he came to try to beat up Kanon lol). For some reason, I didn't get an accomplishment banner or anything? Maybe it's 'cause I'm missing Unity, but that feels weird. I have the whole canon gang here so I'm not sure what's going on.

I also dreamt of Camus and Milo yesterday, I think they were guarding the inside of a volcano for some reason? They were in different places, so maybe there were different volcanoes. In any case, Milo shot me like 15 times with his Scarlet Needle bruh. Canon reason for why he never uses Antares; he was saving ammo for me (/j)
On the other end, I think Camus lowkey murdered Mitsuharu lol, whoopsie. Good thing Mitsu has game hacks enabled (I mean I sure hope he does, in my headcanons/dreams Camus' freezing abilities are a lot more effective than they seem to work out for Hyoga)

Time really stopped playing for no reason. W is available pretty frequently from banners if you get 200 pulls and use the coins to buy her. And Walter got a skin. And is super cracked. Bro could have had it good but was too lazy to read /j

Anyways I was gonna make fun of Dohko and Shion again, but why not make fun of HYXHN's latest simp instead. Bro simped for Feng Xi of all people bruh.

Okay, Shion and Dohko's turn. The chronology of the Hades chapter is so funny. It's a rewatch priority subarea for this reason. Let's see:
-Shion and Dohko meet up right after Saga, Shura, and Camus run into the Aries Temple (after Shion bullies Mu and stalls for a minute or so monologuing).
-Mu runs in afterward as well
-Shion and Dohko fight, possibly for a pretty long time due to both being Gold Saints(??) then disappear afterward. Time interval can't be calculated because literally no one comments on this afterward.
-Aldebaran is already dead by the time Saga, Shura, and Camus get into the Taurus Temple, meaning Niobe snuck in through the back route or was just faster? Or snuck in while Deathmask/Aphrodite were distracting Mu. Idk.
-> Adding that Camus/Shura/Saga are Gold Saints btw.
-They then got through to the Gemini Temple, got stalled briefly by Kanon, and proceeded to the Cancer Temple where they (Saga) did a nuking contest with Shaka
-They disappeared after the nuking. Hades' Specters ran after them and went to the Leo Temple afterward. Some of them got obliterated by Aiolia, the rest by Shaka, with only Myu's fairies surviving.
-AE Trio fights with Shaka, loses (pretty much) badly
-Mu is waiting outside along with Shiryu (manga) or the five Bronze protagonists (anime) by the time they come out, so he must have gotten there a short while before at least. Mu got stalled by Myu en-route, so I get it, but the chronology of this is a bit off.
-Btw Aiolia is only stalled by the worm dude for a little bit but still doesn't go over to Virgo?
-Milo arrives after Aiolia beats up the trio a lil more
-The three trios fight with AE, and then after destroying the Virgo Temple with a Big Bang attack (Virgo's engineer the best fr) they all go to Athena's Temple and then Athena dies and stuff. Dohko and Shion are nowhere in sight.

So basically, I have a crack theory that Shion and Dohko ran down to get McDonald's and then ran back up like "oh crap" after the entire Athena Exclamation thing. That's why they were so late to every single hecking thing.

Also I always wonder, are Mu, Aiolia, and Milo really screwed for using AE? Technically it was a 3-on-3. I mean, they're so screwed in SSA and in Soul of Gold (if you count one god as...one warrior), but y'know.

Mostima's actually been hard carrying me through content. Not in the current IS--she costs so much (in DP and hope) that it's hard for her to make an impact by the time she does make it into the team--but otherwise her SP recovery for Casters is so handy.
Oh yeah I also love Nymph, it's just her S2 is so good by itself

(used it to beat up Patriot twice

that I haven't seen the need to unlock her S3.
I did E2 Penance. Not sure what her relationship with Vigil is for sure (some people ship them, some people don't...wow this is an non-statement), I just know Vigil in-game is pretty bad. Like wow they weren't joking about him being bad without a module. It's sorta like Windflit, my poor guy. But I think they're probably close on some level.
I cannot remember who else I've talked about. I guess I've E2ed Utage? I enjoy Soloblades (some people would pull out their hair for me not calling them Musha)
I also E2ed Civilight Eterna. I can't actually tell how well I use her, but ah well. I've always wanted someone with Inspiration in their skill, and I wasn't able to find Sora anywhere lol.

Oh wait, I remembered a few.
-Ray an MVP (her S3 is cracked)
-I love Warmy <3 (I have to pull for Alanna in around 5-6 months lol)
-> btw her English name is weird because in Chinese her name is Wen Mi, "Warm Rice" but it sounds like a name. Oh well. It's better than uhhhh uhh I forgot the example I wanted to put up.
-I got Bobbing to help for Warmy. He's a Burn Ritualist. Not sure how meta this combo is until a certain lil dragon guy comes over to Global, but no harm in trying in the meantime.
-I got Siege Alter before I got Bobbing. I kinda expected it since she came in Recruitment. no, those things don't have actual causal relation, I just like thinking of it this way. I eventually got a Bobbing. Not too effective at using him but man, I love people with white hair (and blond hair. And red hair. And blue hair. And green hair. And grey hair. and)
-> I don't think she's too broken, but she's so glorious/gorgeous so idc lol. Maybe she won't be a core part of my team but I'll use her when I can (meanwhile vanguard Siege stuck in E0.50 because I can't get her chips)

Btw I got the Bassline skin. I said I would. Next up is Zuo Le. You can't just have a favorite and not buy a skin where they're smiling, especially if they're usually like >:/ (both of them are like that lol)

I think wuxia and xianxia-related characters are funny.

I cannot emphasize how much I want to headpat Lappland. She would maybe mutilate my hand in canon for it but...man.

Sunny in particular. I love the side of his character that F/DA brought out.
Of course, GGaD Sunny is there too, and I try to empathize (nearly said "emphasize", apparently when I'm happier I can't spell?)
I think you wouldn't be able to understand him wholly if you don't take both sides of him into consideration. Still, having an entire soul helps in F/DA, so I guess not knowing GGaD him doesn't detract that much.
(I still dunno what he wears in GGaD lol he and his mom are too hard to design)

Btw most of my reactions to the characters are "what is WRONG with you" except a few.
I love the Archer pair. I am very biased. But I also love Saber, and feel bad for Lancer (luck EEeee), and I'm enjoying seeing the Berserker pair lol.
So anyways you can probably guess the way things are gonna go.
I love Arash so much. I had him solo you-know-who.
