They can understand, and even relate, to wanting to protect one’s own people but…
"Great, so we’re walking to our death, fantastic." Caligo said in a sarcastic and defeated tone.
"Not unless we sleep, is that correct?" Aestus asked both Flare and Zane.
Offline
"Not really." the two said at the same time. Zane and Flare paused for a minute before giving a slight nod to one another. Flare spoke first. "Technically you can't die while on Arithnia's soil. Only really get separated from body and soul. Assuming you have said soul. But Praxis can severely injure you and get pretty close to making you wish you were dead if he so wished to do so."
Offline
"We do have soul! I think?" Caligo turn to Aestus for confirmation, he simply nod, Caligo lay his head on Aestus shoulder, gesturing while he speak. "so we do have soul. And I want to meet this Praxis guy less and less the more you speak about him."
Offline
"He's a pri--" Zane shut his mouth looking at Flare who was clearly about to round-house kick him again. "errrr..he's a bit of a...pain." he continued slowly.
"Different and more....mannered really. That's the best way to describe him." Flare answered clearly.
Offline
"We are not children you can swear you know." Aestus stated
"We’re young but not that young!" Caligo added, a little offended before continuing "I guess we got lucky with Crimson, he did try to kill us but at least he was nice about it!"
Offline
"Fair, but that's not much of an issue since he was holding back. So it's not like he would have done much damage to you....yet." Zane spoke for Flare, who bonked the mans head in retaliation. Flare walked ahead of Zane and stopped for a moment. "You're lucky that Crimson isn't serious around you two. Zane and I agree very well, but more so for Zane, that Cor...he's one hell of a guy when he's dedicated to his work. Anyone in the Council, even Zane, will tell you that even though Crimson can be seen as the weakest and strongest Soul in the Council and still kick your ass into 4 years ago."
Offline
"He is that strong?!" They both exclaimed at the same time, sharing an incredulous look
"He got time magic?" Caligo asked himself softly
Offline
"Yeah, I'll confirm that. Crimson, Cor, Reed, whatever you want to call him. He's often referred to as the "link" in between the Generations of Project P.E.R.S.O.N.A., thus making him weak in the sense that he's a glass cannon. The Limit system, the Emperor Soul, and a good other measures are placed on him for that reason." Zane explained carefully. Not real facial or movement could really explain the way he put his words into the air. It was a horrible mix of fear, sadness and subtle anger. None directed to Aestus or Caligo however.
"We're not able to discuss the power he has Caligo. So it's up to you to wonder if he does or not." Flare replied to their question.
Offline
"Project?!? Don’t tell me you were experimenting on him!" Caligo asked outraged, seems like he has bad memories surrounding experimentations.
Offline
"Erm...I guess Aster didn't tell you and I know Crimson wouldn't....my my my, lazy bitch he is..." Zane said under his breathe. Which received a bonk on his head from Flare for. Zane huffed and walked off alone, leaving the gods with Flare for a good distance to catch up to Zane. Clearly he wanted Flare to do all the answering.
With a deep sigh and motion to follow Flare. "Yes...and no. We weren't, but Aster once did. It's quite a story too...but to simply put it, we're always testing Crimson's limits. Nothing to harm him, but to keep him from going insane once more."
Offline
"…i guess that’s fine." Caligo settled down somewhat. Aestus only looked between the three other men, feeling a little awkward
"So…how long till we get to Garcarnia?" Aestus did his best to change the subject, plus he did want to know when they would get there.
Offline
"Only Zane knows that much. The Council knows where the gates to the other continents are at any given time. Sure we could fly over there, however, there are some...uncharted things in the waters. So we're taking the safe and quick route. It could take anywhere between a week or maybe 3 to get there. I don't really know." Flare answered.
Offline
"Three weeks?!? That:s too long! Can’t we take the train?" Caligo whined "you’re not the one walking! Plus, I don’t think there is train here anyway…" Aestus quickly retorted, playfully poking Cal’s forehead, before turning back to Flare "…I don’t believe I’ve thanked you for coming along, so thanks you."
Offline
"Lethera doesn't have much transportation due to it's geography changing often. Garcarnia does, however, have quite a bit. Until then, you're stuck walking. And you're welcome for coming. I...I'm not really a fan of Praxis for my own personal reasons, but if it helps..."
Offline
"Waite the land is moving?!? That’s so cool!" At least Caligo is in a good mood again, Aestus smiled "if there is one thing we can relate to, it’s disliking authority figures" Aestus can’t help but think of home, if briefly, he hope things are ok over there.
Offline
"Yes. It's been mentioned before if my memory serves me correct. Really all of Arithnia is changing all the time in some way. So it's always a...more or less, nicer change in scenery. And please don't go saying that. I never said I have a disliking for authority..."
Offline
Aestus turned several shade of gold"Oh right… you don’t dislike Crimson….my apologies." The god went and hid his face in his hand, and his wings, while Caligo gently pat his head "um, up I think it’s cool the scenery change, mean you always have something new to explore!" Sound like Caligo really want to go explore, but is resisting the urge to.
Offline
Flare resented Aestus' for insulting a Kyng for a moment before letting it go. "It's quite alright Aestus, though do keep that in mind around Praxis. He's not as lenient as Crimson is. And I do have to agree that it can be a nice change. Much more lively than Lethera, that is for sure. I'm sure if you ask nicely, Praxis would sent an escort to allow you to go around and have some fun. He's quite a busy man compared to Crimson though, so don't expect him ot say yes to any request immediately."
Offline
"Eh, If he answer at all he will already be better than our parents, but I can’t wait to go explor- huh?" While Caligo spoke, he noticed that strangely, he was shrinking again…wait no, Aestus is shrinking?!? Before either of them knew it, Cal was sitting on the ground with a small, very fluffy, creature
Offline
Flare looked rather...unamused yet confused at the same time. "Alright children, this way and make sure to use the buddy system" he said softly to the two and walked off slowly so they could catch up.
Offline
Caligo was stunned for a moment, watching Flare slowly walk away, before looking at the small fuzzball at his feet.
"Ast?" He asked softly, the ball visibly jumped before running toward him, oh. His sun is panicking, ok just gotta…
"It’s gonna be ok, come here" At least Aestus wasn’t resisting being picked up, the problem was that Cal wasn’t sure how to carry his friend(?), he eventually opted to treat him like a cat, so he could at least support his legs properly
"is this how you feel carrying me?…ow ow OW CLAWS! AST CLAW!" An apologetic chirp was all it took for Cal to forgive, it was too adorable not too, in retrospect he shouldn’t have run to catch up with Flare while carrying a panicking small god with sharp talons.

(THROW HIM LIKE A FREAKING SHOTPUT BALL! AESTUS: CANNON CAT!)
"We'll be there about a weeks time...if you two are lucky." Zane said.
Offline
"I hope so." Caligo said, readjusting his grip on his now small and fuzzy friend? Crush? Gods he was soft, he just want to bury his hands and his face in those feathers.
(XD, you throw Aestus? You throw Aestus like the dodgeball? Oh jail for Zane jail for Zane for ONE THOUSAND YEARS)
Offline
"Well don't hope. That will get your ass stuck in the mud." Zane said.
(NO CAL THROW AESTUS)
Offline
"But, I can just fly out of the mud?" Caligo answered, confused
(CAL WOULD NEVER)
Offline
(BUT YOU WOULD)
Zane shut himself up and kept walking. Flare looked back at the two and gave a weak smile.
Offline
Cal smiled back. Still confused but shrugging the interaction off, Aestus shifted in his grip and it took longer than Cal cared to admit to realise he was trying to go on his shoulder, since the sun was too big he simply rested his upper body there, Cal supporting his back and lower half, it was strangely easier this way.
(This is how one of my cat like being held)
Offline
(YOU HAVE CATS?! LEMMEEEEEEEEEEEE SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE)
Eventually...or more like it seemed that time had skipped ahead. Out of nowhere they were on the eastern coast of Arithnia all of a sudden, or at least to Caligo and Aestus.
Offline
(Hang on I’ll send on discord)
Caligo shook his head, looking around confused, Aestus chirped- can he still talk like this- in alarm
"What just happened? Where are we?" Cal asked in a panic

Flare had apparently disappeared leaving Zane, who had made a lovely tea set out of ice, looking at the gods, sipping at some fragrant jasmine tea. "Oh, you two fell asleep so I had to carry you two on my shoulders. Nothing too insane. Flare already left, though he did tell me to tell you tow that he wishes you two safe travels. That's all."
