Nazoja. Buildings stretch toward the sky, as if yearning to catch the clouds. The trees next to the road have regained their colour in the daytime, and flutter in the breeze in dance. Meanwhile, the passerby can see some cars pass by, though there seem to be more bicycles on the streets. No one seems to be in any particular hurry to go anywhere.

The second time. And this time they went past the stop by two other stops, rather than just one.
Sunny isn't particularly proud of what he's done. Well, at least the bus stops became more and more frequent as they drew closer to the city--though that doesn't really apply to the last few stops, which just so happens to apply to this one. Oh well, at least Caster probably didn't receive that much knowledge from the Grail on how easy it should be to get off at the right stop. Too bad common sense exists though.

Master and Servant are standing at the stop now, the former bleary-eyed and flabbergasted at his own incompetence.

This is what happens when you travel with someone who isn't constantly going "are we there yet".

At some point during the ride Caster had taken off the hat so it would not bother him while there was no need to shield his face from sunlight or the gazes of strangers. Now the boy stood trying to adjust the hat again in a way the brim wouldn't cover his entire sight. Hours ago he had managed an okay angle, but now it just seemed to continuously slip over the upper half of his face.
Perhaps sitting atop the hat during the ride hadn't been the brightest idea.
But this was just a slight discomfort. Caster resorted to holding the brim up with his left hand so he could see Sunny and was met with what he interpreted as a lost expression. Well... maybe giving him a bit of time before saying anything would be good. Or maybe he could just ask.

There was also the issue of getting used to the surroundings. How pleasant to see some greenery, even if it was limited by the construction designs around. That wasn't something Caster knew too much about, though, aside from figuring that the city appeared to be a bit nicer than he had imagined. A lot of tall buildings for sure and a bunch of gray, but that was surely just a product of the current age.
People kept moving around. Now with his hat brim up, he could follow their movements with his eyes. Although Caster didn't feel much attention directed towards himself or his Master, he kept his sight and ears alert for any indication that someone might be staring or approaching.

Yes yes, Sunny will be sure to voice his appreciation to his sister later.
No one seems to be too intent to stare, though Caster gains some surprised looks when they see that he is, in fact, not a girl. Though, it's hard to tell if it's that or just the outfit combination that he's sporting. In any case, Sunny tries to keep his eyes roving after he realises they're back on flat ground. Without doing this, he's bound to zone out any moment.
"Alright," he eventually says after around half a minute. It's hard to tell if he's talking to Caster or just to talk for its own sake, but to accompany his words, he raises an arm and turns, gesturing lightly in the bottom-right direction.
"There's a café in that direction, so let's go there," he says, finally bringing his gaze back to look at the person he's talking to.

It's not a café, but rather a restaurant, and his sentences are set up all in the wrong order, but the direction is right.

Caster fearlessly met the eyes of a handful of passersby, flicking his sight away as they didn’t stop to stare. Since they didn’t seem to be interested in stopping, he saw no need to read their intent.
The boy turned to regard Sunny as the latter spoke. Now they had an objective to go towards, but on looking towards the area that had been signaled, he couldn’t find the title “Café” written on any of the building signs. After that brief turning away, he met Sunny’s gaze once more with a blank nod.
“Okay. Let’s go.”

With that context in mind, they're probably too weirded out to keep staring.
Sunny keeps quiet the entire way. Conveniently, any time they want to cross the street, the pedestrian light is already on, so they just stroll on through. The luck is such that Sunny doesn't seem to feel the need to explain what the different symbols and lights mean. (He forgot again.)
Eventually they make it to the hotel, where unfortunately the nice lady from last night is no longer. Seems like her shift has ended. There's a nice young man there, though. He looks up and gives the two a wave. He's professionally trained not to stare at weirdly dressed kids.
It's just as well that the lady isn't there, it's kind of hard to explain how you suddenly have a child with you.
Sunny gives a wave back. "We're just heading back upstairs," he explains, at a bit too low of a volume at this distance. Thankfully, the guy gets it. He gives a nod, a salute, and a thumbs-up. What a morning person to be sure.

Caster continued stepping lightly at Sunny's side as they traversed the street.
The boy did seem interested in the area, as he turned his head this way and that to look up at the buildings. And, although his Master seemed to know the way, it would be better to get a mental map of the surroundings.
Upon entering the hotel, Caster's first action was to stare at the man who greeted them--but as soon as he noticed Sunny's wave he relaxed almost instantly and waved as well.
It was just a timid little wave, one that would probably suggest shyness. He tried to copy the salute before heading away with Sunny as well, though this motion was not as noticeable due to his hat's brim.

The hotel guy is grinning from ear to ear. Maybe he's reminded of his younger brother back home.
Sunny, meanwhile, has pressed both the down button and the up button of the elevator just to be sure, confusing the lift as it tries to figure out what he actually wants to do. At least it's coming down anyways.
(He thought he needed to press the down button to get the elevator to come down, and then pressed the up button to indicate he wants it to go up afterwards.)

"Seventh floor," Sunny replies. He seems to be giving the decorations along the side of the elevator a good stare, but he pauses to look back at Caster. "I hope you're alright with heights?"

A few seconds elapsed as Caster stood there, hand to his chin. Perhaps he was trying to picture the height in comparison to the building's exterior he'd seen outside.
"I don't mind it," he replied at last.
Must be a good view from up there, right? Usually the higher up you go the better you can see your surroundings, but given that there were also many more tall buildings in the city, maybe it wouldn't be as he imagined. He shrugged a little.

Unfortunately, Caster doesn't get a preview of the view from here just yet, as the corridors surrounding the elevator don't have windows. But Sunny presses the "7" button without ado, and the elevator gets going to the right floor despite the button-pressing shenanigans.
Sunny forgets to reply. It seems he's mesmerised by his successful usage of the elevator.

The movements from the elevator--even though the ride is rather smooth--startled Caster slightly. Just enough for him to huddle at the corner next to the elevator buttons. It was strange to sense the elevator cage rising up and up into the air automatically, but, still, nothing Caster would complain about. Just a minor downside to being too aware of the surroundings.
Caster turned to look up at Sunny and wait for him to get out of the elevator once they arrived at the correct floor.

Once the door does open, Sunny stares out of the opening to make sure no one's around. Only once he's sure that no one is there does he step out carefully.
At least he turns in the right direction. He heads down the corridor. It looks like he at least is used to Caster following him by now, with the occasional stop and turn to make sure the other is still next to him. Before, he kept on pausing awkwardly to see if the other would go first.

Knock. Knock. Knock.
Silly as Sunny is (hey look, these have the same number of letters!), he remembers the right room. He knocks as carefully as possible on the door.

Yep, Caster isn't going anywhere away from Sunny for now. Once they're at the door he stands there like 🧍🏽‍♂️.

The knocks were followed by a brief second of silence and then the noticeable yet muffled sounds of fumbling from inside the room.
Soon after, an: "I'm there just- hold on!" in a familiar girly voice from behind the door.
And, finally, the door flew open to reveal a pink-eyed teen with a bedhead staring at the two dudes in front of her door. You'd think she would crack open the door just a bit to see who it is, but nah, she opened the door so much that the extremely messy bed inside is visible. Along with a couple other things strewn around the room. How did she manage to make a slight mess when she should've been sleeping? No, it was just the little panic from being suddenly woken up.
Sollux tipped up her head to see Sunny in the eyes, but soon after she turned to regard Caster with a little squint. A smile grew on her face.

"Room service," Sunny was about to joke, except he's nearly blindsided by the door despite standing on the opposite side of the way it swings. As a result, he's forced to just stare ahead at him, right into the room and its newly haphazard state.
"Sollux," he says, which translated from brother language means "What did I say about opening the door to a knock without looking through the peephole to first see who it is on the other side? You forgot." In a reprimanding tone too of course.

Sollux twirled a strand of her hair, expression turning slightly regretful although she refused to fully drop her smile. "Yeah, I guess I did. But," she continued, and now her eyes gained a little sparkle. "It was you in the end."

Maybe he doesn't want to embarrass either of them too much in front of Caster. He glances at the Heroic Spirit in question too, and asks, "Can we go in?"

Lux nodded promptly and stepped to one side while rubbing her eyes. When Sunny and Caster headed into the room, she leaned to one side to try to get a better view of Caster's face from under the hat. In all honesty, she wanted to lift it off the kid's head, but she knew that would be rude.
"Ohhhh, yeah. Who is she?" Sollux asked, addressing Sunny despite staring at Caster.

The Servant gave a side glance at Sollux and scurried to stand at Sunny's other side to have him in between them both. He wanted to get a feel of Sollux first, even though he'd been told of her relationship to his Master.

Sunny glances at Caster when the other moves. He's unused to someone using him to hide. It feels like Sollux has always been the one to stand out before he has the opportunity. Well, in similar enough situations, anyways.
"Caster," he responds simply. Unfortunately, the incorrect pronoun goes right over his head.
He looks back to his sister. "We need to find him a change of clothes. He stands out too much."

"Huh. That's... true, really." Lux took a hand to her chin, taking in her brother's absolutely stunning work as a fashion designer. "No, what were you thinking, picking out clothes like that? The pants' hue does NOT match the bunched up sleeves! And-" She stepped to one side to get a better look. "And, well, I could say more, but it should be clear enough by just taking a look! We go out, right now, and get- him, you said? Okay, get him a nice outfit to go with the vacation style this city has going on."

Caster just kind of stood there, listening but wondering why Sollux had such a strong opinion on clothing. His current outfit seemed okay to him right now, and going by the streets he'd seen the different pieces matched with what other people were wearing, so... what was the big deal?

"I was thinking of getting some food first," he says. "At the café downstairs."

Sollux stuck her hand into her pocket (she was still in last night's clothes) and immediately took it back out when she realized her phone was not there. That downward glance also made her remember she had to put on shoes and get properly dressed and do her hair and all that.
"Oh yeah, breakfast. What time is it? Like, 9, 10, 11 AM?"

"Well duh," went the reply with a playful half roll of the eyes. "Just let me, you know, get ready and all."
Sollux gestured at her current clothes and turned around to head to where her things were packed. She glanced over her shoulder briefly to holler, "Does Caster want a shawl that fits instead of that jacket?"

Caster looked up at Sunny to see what his answer would be.

He looks at Caster. "Would you like a shawl, Caster?"
The way he says Caster is kind of cute. Kya-ster. He definitely doesn't realize it himself though.
He looks back at Sollux again too. "Also, would you like us to go downstairs first and order the food? Maybe that way you have more space."

"Yeah yeah, that's fine," she replied quickly in a tone that would seem dismissive to anyone not familiar with her way of speaking. "Uh, sure, just make sure it's something I like. So, what will it be, Caster?" Sollux adressed the boy directly as she squatted in front of her valise.

Caster blinked at Sunny. "Will it make a difference?"

"Do you mean yes?" Sollux asked once more, now clearly having her hands on a pale orange shawl.

Caster nodded slowly, not leaving Sunny's side.

Is it possible that the Servant likes the jacket better? Sunny can't get a good read on what the hero is thinking.
"If you give the jacket to me, I can wear it instead so you can put it on later if you'd like," he offers.
Wait, what? NO.
"And Sollux, what would you like to eat?" he asks, probably because every time he guesses what she'd like he guesses wrong.

Absolutely not is what Sollux thinks as well. She walked up to the pair with the piece of clothing in her hands.
"Don't even think about it! Can't you see it wouldn't go with the rest of your outfit's colors, and, would it even fit you comfortably at all?" She shook her head.

Caster started the process of slipping out of the oversized coat, which thankfully didn't displace any of the other articles of clothing he was wearing. One of his sleeves did fall enough to cover his hand again, but that was an easy fix.

The blonde held out her hand to receive the coat, but didn't really look at it much (which was good, because Caster pushed the coat onto Sunny's arm). Instead, she seemed more thoughtful about the most recent question... what to get?
"I don't know, I haven't looked at the menu yet... maybe an omelette or something?"
