@Time thanks sm!! I can't actually take all the credit, I was learning to imitate the Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun manga style. Doing so involved color-sampling from pieces, so the colors aren't fully mine, but thanks anyway XDD

Dang, that sorta stuff is still good tho -- looking at another artist's work and emulating it

I love the composition of that piece and the color scheme just really makes it shine I think. I'm a super fan of warm colors so HECK YEAH and the classical paintings as inspiration is amazing
Don't worry about color sampling tbh I guarantee that the experience is going to stay with you, doing studies/sampling/references from others' arts is one of the best ways to pick up on certain things. I know I've learned a bit about how to use colors by referencing compositions I liked, so I'm sure the same will go for you. Overall, cool art, I love it.
Btw I forgot if I asked this before but what program do you use? And do you favor multiply layers or hand-picked shading?

@Time - ikr! I've learned so much just from these last four pieces alone I feel like a new person
@Specter jdfhjfdhj thank and YES warm color palettes >> AidaIro (the artist I referenced) is really excellent at using warm palettes specifically within the orange range, it really makes colors like blues and greens pop.
I use Photoshop. Typically I use multiply layers and shades of purple for shadows since it's similar to how i do shadows traditionally (using shades of purple and then putting the flats over it) so its easier and more consistent, but with these last pieces especially since I was already color picking I hand-picked the shading and "painted" the shadows over each block of color. It made getting the colors right way easier and also added to the painterly feel, so it worked out in the end. I did the same thing with the highlights and skin rendering (blush and stuff) so it all looks cohesive :3 I also didn't use any blur or other blending techniques to stay true to the art style and I must say I'm a big fan it looks so soft and blocky at the same time

Ah very very nice.
I don't think I've seen these mini versions of these characters, so that's cute
Also is it just me or are these characters more... "proportioned" than last bach? Proportioned as in they're more heads tall than last time (except the chibis ofc)
Also the coloring choices as per usual is pretty good. I'm quite envious for sure

ah that! I typically refer to my art as having three different "stages," the mini chibis, the partial chibis, and more anatomically correct. The more anatomically correct look takes longer to draw and I typically save it for stuff that I really want to spend the time on (such as reference images like these), while the partial chibis are my default because its faster while still allowing a fair amount of detail.
what can i say i love colors

just, beautiful, i love it

no wait you just gave me such a good idea on how to drip feed that information in my story.... you learn she killed her son and then later find out why, only to then find out the son she killed is the main villain? INSPIRATION HAS STRUCK
