Should I buy tekken 8 and just get knocked off of building get punched through walls over and over again?
Totally random but my family has always prefered tekken over street fighter

you know this is apparently something that people do a lot and I realize should really use MUCH MUCH more often to improve my art.
What is it?
Using reference. I mean like, I say a good 85% of my art is with no references whatsoever and I think to myself and realize... hmmm... maybe that's why I feel so frustrated when drawing and everything takes so long!

Random asf but
I have a small pochita plushie but I'm bringing it up to do a weird flex on people that my pochita plushie is way better than most others because it doesn't look like that offbrand lookin pochita where his chainsaw is going diagonal from his forehead and his eyes are on the sides of his head like a herbivore animal.
No, my pochita has his eyes STRAIGHT! and his chainsaw at a crisp FLAT ANGLE!
And I got it for cheap too because I won it off a claw machine.
This is also lowkey just content to fill up my homethread, but hey, you know what they say about homethreads here, you can post whatever you want.

I also realize I should maybe try experimenting more with brushes and stuff.
I mean, the brushes I use are ok, but I want to use some that I think I really like. Especially ones that will help out with background coloring and cooler sketching.
I'm thinking I should also try playing with line color as well for stuff, since I just normally used black for everything.
I guess the only issue would be that I would have to break my old habits of just creating art normally and just trying out new art things. Shouldn't be too hard tho.

A while ago I found a set of brushes that I really liked but am still learning to use. I find them to be p cool, so maybe you'll like them too!
Kuro Ink is good for lineart, and I like it because it's pressure sensitive both for size and density. It might mess with the bucket tool if you use it for filling in a lower layer, so mind that (it's mostly a matter of getting used to it)
Kuro Sketch and H2 are ones I use interchangeably for shading and adding effects and stuff. They're also pressure sensitive, and have a little bit of blending with the color underneath which is very nice, and I like the blocky feel for filling in sketches with color quickly. I feel this brush is very versatile and that to try out its full potential you have to experiment quite a bit.
is a blur brush which adds texture to stuff. I like to use it to blend several colors with texture, but it only works when you have more than one color on a layer or if you're blurring/texturing a single color's edge.

Ooh, thanks spec! I'll be sure to try them out at some point, but I realize maybe I should also try tweaking some of the default brushes and the brushes I already have before seeing if I need more. But still thanks!

Dw, we understand writing takes time. Take your time and make it good, even if it's a draft!

Yeah true, I just hope I don't disappoint (even tho it's a draft)
I've been playing with how much I plot and how much I pants
Side note, I prefer the terms outliner writer and discovery writer over plotters and pantsers, because ain't no way I wanna be called a pantser 💀.
I'm more of a plotter, but still.

I'm ngl, last weekend I couldn't stop thinking about the story because you said there'd be an update at the end of Janyrary xD but I didn't want to ask just yet because of exam week and all. Will be looking forward to your next update! I hoenstly tond't know how you can continue writing with school and all that stuff going on so I greadly admire that.
I can guarantee no disappointment from my part. I'm always so excited to see what you guys create and being able to see it is quite an honor, so I'll be ready to eat up whatever you publish!
I guess now that you've stated it's still in the works I can post some doodles of my character without feeling like it's a reminder for an update lol. I really wonder how you're portraying him and how different he is going to be from the headcanons I made (in a positive sense, none of this is supposed to read in a suspicicosus or negative tone)
What's a pantser I havd never read that term before (reads like panther)
Online!
Yeah my bad. I really said I would make a commitment to send out the first few scenes but I failed on that part. But now midterm season is wrapping up, and I need to use that moment to make progress. But thanks nonetheless! I've been dabbling in writing for so long, that I figured I should take it seriously for once, and what time is better than now in college, where you're supposed to do all that soul searching stuff.
Oh yeah for sure for sure post those doodles! I'm looking forwards to them. I also wonder how I'm going to portray him as well, because you know, sometimes you're writing a character and you think more and more "oh, this isn't what I was expecting. I guess I'll change it up more".
Ha my phone autocorrected to panther when I was writing that out actually. Anyways, a pantser is a term for a writer who "writes by the seat of their pants". AKA, they write their first draft or so without any planning whatsoever. Of course this definition is an extreme though, and many fall on a spectrum between plotters and pantsers.
Other terms for pantsers are gardeners, or discovery writers. Some famous pantsers (or more inclined to a pantser writing style than a plotter on the spectrum) are Stephen King and George R.R. Martin

I'm kinda curious, does it apply to all genders or do you particularly like girls like that
-Galaxian-

I have realized that there is an extreme gender imbalance towards female characters that are that way, don't out me like that 💀
You are really making me think... really, should be just in general, but I don't have the evidence to back it up 😭.

Okay, so (*picks up pen*) you tend to like female characters who act emotionless (*takes out highlighter*) as well as cheerful wholesome ones (*highlights notes with 5 different colours*) I see I see
