alright serious answer: it is a calm online game, you play as a sky kid and traverse the seven realms collecting winged light and awakening spirits sealed in stone carcasses left in ruins of a kingdom grand. you traverse the eye of eden, and begin the cycle anew. that is the whole plot of the game, give or take a metaphor for life and aging here and a notable similiarity to the role of psychopomp there.
but that's not all, obviously. the game is gorgeous, and teeming with enough secrets areas that either you don't get access to the first time through or won't find til your third. and it's got an amazingly pleasant soundtrack, good enough to forget to actually play the game in some places.
granted it does do the whole seasonal events and daily quests things to keep you playing, but considering how many of you are fans of the fate series and my understanding of it, this won't be anything special or new or particularly bad

and also i need people to be my friends and actually playing for some of the quests and to expedite the gathering of hearts for clothing

3...3 of us xD
Thank you for the review/recommendation! It sounds like a really interesting exploration-based game. But since you brought up some of us playing F/GO, I would also like to point out how hard it would be to juggle two games with daily quests/events (at least for me, idk about Specter and Echo) xD

i have no idea what it's like over in fate land, but the daily quests in sky take like. twenty minutes tops. so long as you know where you have to be to do. which is very easy because all four of the daily quests happen in the same realm. like today it's gonna be in the forest, and there's extra candles in the valley

btw when i say twenty minutes tops i mean twenty minutes total between them

From what I understand Sky is more of an open world game and from your description it's really reminding me of Genshin? I know both games have a sort of "comfort game" reputation because of the cutesy graphics and relaxed world exploration.
Does Sky have a main quest? Would you say the map is really big?
Offline

i have never played genshin and the only main quest is to go to mountain and get to the big red rock. but you can also completely ignore it for months on end and lose basically nothing except a few cosmetics
and i would also say that sky is an open world in the same way that pokemon legends arceus is an open world. you can go to select areas, and explore within those areas.
as for the map, i honestly have no sense of scale since there's several maps which happen to conveniently have an opening to the next one at the end. i wouldn't say that the areas aren't any larger than they need to be, like how the valley is basically just. a straight line leading to a circle that leads to two other straight lines that lead to another circle which goes to the next area(golden wastes). like that's basically it for the valley. and the other areas are also basically just straight lines to the next elder's temple but sometimes there's things around the sides for you to lick up

i was gonna say something else but genuinely i would never compare sky to genshin. they aren't even the same genre. they don't even have similiar communities. they are about as comparable as tuna fish and earth worms

yooo you use 30 posts per page format? Epic
I think the default is 25 or 20 posts per page isn't it?
Offline

I checked and I do have 30 as default but for some reason I thought the default was 40 xD

30 is the max I think, unfortunately. Sad that we can't have 100 posts per page.

huh when the site started out I it was 20 or something iirc, since I remember changing the post count for me personally, right?

I remember you were one of the first to register, so maybe the settings weren't applied retroactively to registered users? Not sure on that, sorry.

Nah it's not a big deal I mean I've always been at 30 posts and stuff and didn't notice anything really. Plus I'm just talking to talk yk
