"Focus on your goal," came the comment followed by large sips of their coffee.
Offline
"Does that taste good?"
Offline
"Like coffee," they responded.
Wow! World Record Discovery! Quick, call the reporters!
Offline
"Oh, it's coffee?" He asked. "Does it not taste like chocolate though?"
Offline
Kiaane shakes their head to mean it doesn't.
Offline
"Hm. But it's yummy, right?"
Offline
Kiaane looks for a chocolate in their pocket for the comparison. They do not have one. They offer the bottle in Martin's general direction.
Offline
Martin, curious, crawled (what other word to use?) towards Kiaane to grab the bottle.
Offline
(akfdokiedojo your mental image is CURSED I tell you)
He's able to grab the bottle with no ado.
Offline
((But I can't erase it from my mind help))
He moved to take a sip out of it. He's never had coffee before.
Offline
Kiaane probably is waiting for him to hand it back once he's done with the 500% cacao power drink.
Offline
Martin tasted the bitter liquid in his mouth. Not very pleasing at all. And it didn't quite taste as he expected it to.
He swallowed forcefully, feeling the flavor still there.
"Take it back," Martin said quickly, handing the bottle back to Kiaane.
Offline
Kiaane gladly does so. They summon a bit of water to rinse the edges, presuming Martin's mouth touched the bottle. They somehow manage to not make their coffee the brand called Bean Water.
Offline
"So," Martin ruffles his hair with a hand. "Where were we?"
Offline
"You were figuring out the pebble," Kiaane responded, minding their own business by continuing to drain their bottle.
Offline
"Oh, that magic pebble..." he said. "I still don't know. But I will try."
Offline
"Good luck," they said, though as usual it wouldn't really sound like they meant it to someone accustomed to hearing usual people talk. Then again, Kiaane was really trying.
Offline
Thankfully for Kiaane, Martin is one such person. He seems glad to receive the good wishes.
A little more motivated than before, he began to think.
Offline
The unhelpful narrator provides no hints to Martin. He'll actually have to guess it.
Kiaane moves a bit to the side to train alone, like they usually do.
Offline
(( aww))
Martin thought back on the things he had already tried. The pebble seemed normal to him.
Offline
Kiaane is chanting a few things.
Or is it?
Offline
He wants to inspect it closer.
Offline
The pebble denies--just kidding, sure, go ahead.
Offline
Martin does so.
The situation was brought up by his curiosity, but he doesn't really regret it.
Offline
The pebble is like he thinks. An ordinary pebble. It doesn't have magical inscriptions on it.
Offline
Hmm.
Martin tossed it to his side. The problem was probably not in the bit of rock itself. Maybe it was the magic Kiaane had used. But he couldn't think of a way to read that.
Possibly, he could try stopping the pebble in the air with his own magic, but that wasn't guaranteed to work.
Offline
The pebble bounces briefly and then is out of his sight.
Offline
He just disregarded it. Martin's thoughts weren't going very far. They kept coming back to the idea that his magic and abillity at it were weak and underdeveloped. He pouted.
Offline
Kiaane doesn't notice him pouting. Such a pity.
Offline
Martin stretched out his legs. He narrowed his eyes up to the sky.
So far, he only knew very basic magic. If only he'd studied a bit more instead of going out to play... maybe he would be able to prove that he could do something.
