That is atrociously silly.
Too bad, reverse psychology.

Yeah I was thinking possibly the second option and stuff. Maybe.
Or maybe just different expectations?
Offline
probably that too tbh
also now that I've actually seen Gravity Falls I can officially conclude that yes, the Pines twins' voices do in fact suit our twins quite well

ok so I read back on stuff about Chronos's eyes, I suggested that after Chronos gets all her magic back her eyes change to gold for some unspecified reason and become her default eye color except in certain instances where they might revert to blue
iirc I had the idea that Time feeding Chronos his own mana to help restore her own might have had something to do with the eye change
it could also be that if she uses a particularly large spell (especially since she'll have lower mana in general since she hasn't had who-knows-how long to build up such a massive store) her eyes change back to blue since that was her "mortal" eye color as it were
Online!
Hmmm so it could be a good idea
If it was this way would Chronos's eyes be like a mana fuel gauge for her lol?
Offline
yeah kind of ig lol since magic is what changed her eye color if she uses up enough of it her body will stop maintaining the color change
so it could even be that her eyes used to change color before her coma but its just more permanent now idk
Online!
Hmm gimme some time, ill think of a few other possible ideas and explanations for such topics (and also for me to get on a keyboard)

okie sounds good

I will admit I lowkey forgot to do so yesterday, but today I remember
So, here is an idea I had concerning the explanation for this "magic gauge" idea.
Well first, her magic is of her own and just a little big of magic transference from her brother, so that can cause a possible minor magic creation in the color change. That's one way to go about it.
But a more in depth reason could be that maybe she decided to channel or use her magic in a different way than before? It was a weakness that neither her nor her brother saw coming, so Chronos decided to change up the game a little bit.
I always saw if we had to define "magic styles" I think Chronos would moreso be the type of mage that feels the flow of the magic and persuades it to do her bidding, in comparison to Time, who more or less shoves it into an equation to produce an effect, if you're getting my example.
Anyways, since Chronos is already more of a flexible magic than Time (since she doesn't rely on calculations as much), she can make the change much easier. To what you ask? Well I remember that somewhere in my personal unreleased notes, Time's eyes glow gold when under immense magic conditions. It's never really come into play in rp, but here it does with Chronos.
As a metaphor, see mana as a pile of gunpowder. The standard way of using magic is taking small bits, and using it accordingly so that one never exhausts oneself. Chronos's new style on the other hand, is build for rapid release and immense power (no matter what she's casting). So instead of proportioning her gunpowder in multiple small stacks, she opts for much, much larger ones.
Since both of the twins are probably good enough at magic that they can release it on a moment's notice without thinking, this reflects in their outward appearance as well. But since Time still uses standard mana proportioning, there is no golden eyes for him. Chronos however, with this new style, always has these golden eyes. Imagine that both of them are always holding back their mana for a quick casting time, its just one has a much larger impact behind what they are holding back.
Plus, maintaining a "supercharged" state can be effective for Chronos in more ways than one. It's allowed her to train without mana, so if she loses it all, she'll be fine and can still normally move and act.

THIS IS SO SMART
DUDE
Chronos's magic style being much more fluid compared to Time's makes total sense given their personalities and the types of magic they typically use. Altering the way she uses magic so she won't fall into a comatose state even if she lost all her magic again is genius, both from the twins and from you xD
Chronos's constant use of more magic causing her eye color to shift also makes a ton of sense and I also find it extremely interesting that Time's eyes were supposed to change gold!
I do have a question though, if Chronos's new technique has her using larger amounts of mana in order to cast spells faster and stronger, does this mean there is a risk of her using up her mana again, at least towards the beginning, since she hasn't recovered much of her previous mana yet?
Supercharged Chronos is a terrifying thought and I love it

Thank you, sometimes my genius is frightening.
Tho I do think I would just say that Chronos decides to do it yk. I can't find an exactly good reason for a full reason yet. Because if Chronos did it, why doesn't Time? Just in case it happens to him?
To answer your question, I suppose so, if I'm getting it right. But I think it would be viewed as "training", so if Chronos does end up without any mana, she can still do stuff. Plus she can use up all of her mana in spells and still be fine, and even do highly strenuous activities such as, say, fighting with nothing but whatever bonuses being a deity gives her.

it really is and it's fantastic
it makes sense to me. Chronos is also the type who tries different things and she'd have a reason to switch it up after the incident with Aereon. Time strikes me more as the person who finds a technique and sticks to it.
ahhh okay

Hm alright then, if it already makes sense then, it's all good. Your character points def give reason as well.
Yeah. I think it would also be a little wildcard as well. People expect most deities to be overly reliant on mana, but when it doesn't happen with Chronos, surely they'd be surprise.

nah this has me thinking we really need to develop a GGaD magic system fr fr

some vague magic system might be pretty cool tho
especially since we have so few active people its something that might actually be feasible xD
Online!
I mean who says there can't be multiple magic systems?
Offline
I mean there could be, but it'd probably be more like sub-magic systems branching from a main (though likely basic) magic system, otherwise you'd probably have a lot of conflicting rules and such
Online!
That actually makes a lot of sense now that you put it that way.
Like a tree that branches out

So, you wanna try brewing something up rn?

i think that's something that would require all the active members to partake in xDDD

Wanna try? Or nah? It would be helpful to build up some structured lore, but I can see the effort it will take for everyone to agree on something
It like that sorta stuff is completed in the beginning of the rp lol
