i don't think there should be stereotypes around what kind of people listen to what music

music is music, all of it is enjoyable

I find that comment kinda interesting, since I think stereotypes can be accurate and aren't necessarily detrimental if you know what you're using them for.
Another aspect that maybe can be considered is alternative sources for said stereotypes. For instance, certain types of music tend to be broadcast in different venues, at different volumes, etc., leading to different generalizations/assumptions about their listeners.
But honestly, I'm probably thinking about something other than what you're thinking about. So, sorry if I swerved the topic here. xD
