fun fact: the only anime game i've played is one of those dragon ball fighting games. i include genshin impact, honkia whatever, and anything else that is generally "oops there's only skin-wrapped muscleless mannequins here" in anime game category

not to say that i think they're bad just that they aren't for me, usually for one of three reasons: 1) overpriced and bloated, 2) game mechanics that i Disagree with or 3) the story makes 0 sense and the game devs are trying to hide it with flashy characters

i think the dragon ball game i did play was overpriced but i didn't buy it. and also i don't think this applies to all games made in that style just that the ones it does apply to are just as likely as the well crafted ones to become popular

okay now that i'm having food i feel less hateful. still think i'm right, but i'd be right about any genre of game. my biggest problems are that they try to go for photorealistic stylization that blows out anything that isn't a supercomputer and that everybody is either made of sticks and wet dirt or is a rectangle with abs scribbled on

Have you seen some of those waist-hip ratios? I have never seen sticks or rectangles shaped like that. They're so concave they go convex, I don't think shapes in our world can adequately describe them.
