1. I like to imagine they're on the younger end. I reckon their personalities would be pretty different but I'm not sure if that's what you mean xD. Did you mean like superpowers and stuff?
2. Some armor and anything that's comfortable to fight in, they tend to wear combat boots/boots in general. Their color palette is kinda muted but also not boring if that makes sense. They don't have many accessories on them and if they do, it was something someone else gave them. Their "signature" thing is their shoulder pauldron on their right side, but that's entirely optional lol. Sorry if this is vague; idk if you wanted something in particular and I am running off no sleep at all.

In your opinion, what universe's Sunny is more OP?

1. 10 year olds :D no I think like pre teen or early teen, maybe? What's the age difference here? 2, 3 years? (But also them being so young makes me worry about their parents letting them go do magical children stuff xD). Also for powers I don't know, I don't know if we decided on how magic works in this AU. Is it something inherited, perhaps? Some people have to use charms to transform while others can do it by family lineage? What powers are allowed and to what extent?
2. Okay, I'll see what I can imagine up with that. Does their clothing go towards medieval, modern, or fantasy with touches of either? I'll probably veer towards modern casual anwyays but, a reference from the creator can't hurt.

As in comparing GGaD vs. RIP? Probably GGaD, his powers aren't based on magic there and he can still do a bunch of stuff even in his current state. Also I assume "overpowered" as in "he has wayyyy too many powers" instead of actual power. 'Cause he doesn't have too much of that.

I like to think they have less of an age difference so they work together better. Mostly I think it'd be funny for Sunny to not understand the difference between siblings and twins.
I'm pretty sure we decided pretty much nothing, no thanks to me xD. I like to think it doesn't go by traditional logic though. And I'm not too certain about charms and power limits and such. Actually, I'm not even too sure what focus the Mamba would have. My mind associates him with Knives.
2. Medieval. I think their clothing is pretty realistic; it's made for practicality, even though that wasn't necessarily their intention (they didn't have an intention to begin with). It's not very exciting, really.

Yeah that makes sense. There's such a broad category of things he could do imo, and that's coming from me who hasn't roleplayed much with him,

I mean, it could be a point of discussion. Everything is very vague yes xD but I just had an idea of something for the Cheetah (again though I don't know what is allowed and what isn't in our AU). Anyways, I do think it'd be fun to have a charms vs. natural powers thing. Maybe there's some sort of relation between the two even.
Same way my mind associates the Cheetah with explosions :D? That did make me remember how Shirou's element is listed as "Sword" xD.
But I think as a starting point, having a concept to build off with sounds cool. I think it'd be interesting if the transformation doesn't let the user acces EVERYTHING or a ton of power at once, so it's a sort of gradual unlock for the powers or something.

(1.) What the heck were those subject-verb agreements.
I wasn't actually serious on them being 10 'cause I think no matter what Paymon and Xenia would be able to get ahold of them if they were that small. Plus I can't imagine them being like the Incredibles family where they all work together (though I haven't watched that series either so lol). But maybe they also have their little illusion world where actually it's mostly their parents doing the work and letting them do the smallest tasks or something and they think they're saving the world. The kids in this AU are delusional.
There are more twin types than fraternal and identical, but anyhow you can't be bamboozled if you don't have a brain.
"Explosion and knife magic." My mind is blanking on the thematic power stuff, sorry. A power scaling system would definitely be good though, we can't let our little magical terrorists power up too easily.

Okay then. What age would you suggest in that case? As long as they're not on the older teen side I think I'd be fine with anything haha. For what you suggested, I think it'd be cute for Paymon and Xenia to let their kids think they're helping, but as an alternative I also think It'd be kinda funny for Sunny and Lux to somehow figure out they have powers or smthn and then they go out and try to keep it a secret but their parents know and just do everything for them without their noticing. A little different but also not too different.
I've watched the Incredibles movie but I wasn't aware it had a series :0 Anyways I wasn't really thinking of it that way since the context is different. And it's hard for me to imagine them all going out as a team for some reason.
I'll see if I can come up with something because the kind of magical attacks and stuff differs from media to media and I think it'd be best if we make our own system up or something. For now my mind is just showing me mental images of Paymon with medium-length hair and when he transforms or something he gets a long braid.

By the way this is a different topic:
I'm planning to participate in Art Fight this year. If you haven't heard of it, it's where artists are divided into two teams and to score points you have to attack by drawing a character from the opposite team, and to defend/revenge you have to draw something back when someone attacks you with art. So I'm getting ready to set up two or three of my characters (the battle begins next month) and profile and all. Would you like me to put up one of your OCs to see if they get art from someone? You can specify what you want and don't want for the art (the site is no-nsfw so dw about that), and it can be either full body or just a shoulder up sort of thing. So let me know if this interests you, and if you like the idea if you want to use an image made by you or made by me. The character max is 100 but I'm definitely not going that far xD.

We could use 11 and 13, or 12 and 14 if you wish. I think those are reasonable ages (and are we comparing this to an estimate to the Mamba and Cheetah? Cause I don't remember if we set ages for them.).
I will force you to contribute whether you want it or not (: jk but producing ideas at command is really hard if not impossible for me so dw. For now the idea I have is a general theme or aesthetic for the outfits which can then probably be tweaked depending on what we decide for the powers.
Braid but whip

I don't know, but I've decided I'm gonna use slots for 5 characters max. I'm going to draw a ref for Dion and two more characters (probably Germaine or Specter and Assassin Corinne), so that'd leave two spots open if you can't decide on just one character and want two (I'll let you know if I can do the refs for two depending on who you want to use). It is my first time in Art Fight too, so it's a learning process for me. I'd say you can use just about any character you'd like. All I need to register a character is the name and an image for reference, which can be anything from just a portrait view to full body or even a reference sheet. I'll be doing little profiles with like age and height and a blurb of story and personality so anyone who views them will have a better idea of what they're like, so I could use this too for your character(s) if you wish. It can be as long or as short as you want.
Aside from that, I'll set up drawing specifications too (such as asking for clothing variety) or recommendations for expression or something like that. It's really about giving instructions and info for how you want other people to draw your character. The art received from what I see is mostly from the shoulders up (more drawings means more attacks, the less complex the more you can do but also you earn less points. It's not all about the points though.) but some are chibi or half/full body or more complex illustrations that inlclude more than two characters in a scene.
I'm planning to do at least three attacks, so I'll probably get around 3 fanarts back if I can't do more. And even if your characters aren't picked, you get a character ref drawn by me (if you want it ofc).

And by the way, since earlier we were discussing the meeps, I wanted to ask smthn for my Genshin AU. Do you have a concept you associate Sunny with?
I wanna see if it matches with one of the Genshin concepts for visions. In general and to keep the nature aesthetic, the ideal thing would be Freedom (wind) or Knowledge (dendro/plants), but maybe he doesn't fit either of those concepts. I can give you a list of other vision concepts to see if any fits. But this is an extra, and a little excuse to try to get you to talk more about your idea of Sunny in general.

Iirc the Mamba and the Cheetah are younger than in GGaD? Very terrifying. So maybe Sunny and Sollux should be even younger.
Are the Mamba and Cheetah gonna fit together aesthetically, or are we doing complementary colors or smthn? Iirc the Mamba is like green and gray while the Cheetah is more yellow (which isn't complementary so,,, anyways) and black/white or something?? I may or may not not know what I am saying

Honestly, wouldn't it better if you use up the slots yourself? I feel bad taking away opportunities for your characters to be drawn, even if it might be worrying for nothing (maybe no one will draw mine I mean). If I really needed to I could just join myself, even though atm I don't have a drawing program or any paper (this is a joke btw). I'm not familiar with concepts at all, but I assume they're like Undertale's soul colors thing? Elements-wise Sunny's element is wind, but in an ironic sense. As in, he can ride the wind and all, but he isn't really free or a part of the world. Haha. I don't think knowledge would fit him either, but idk, I couldn't find much info about elements from a brief wiki search (FANDOM keeps crashing my computer).
Technically speaking, Sunny was intended to have something to do with most of the elements. I thought of Spring as being something that really encompasses everything but not to a strong extent. Like for light, he can control it somewhat but only to a slight degree. He can't make big storms because that's not what spring's about, so that means he has some control over air and water, but not too much. His weakest element would probably be fire (intended to contrast Sollux) since spring's mostly just warm and very unextreme in that regard. Outside of air (the wind element I mentioned), his strongest suit would probably be for plants (because of how much growth is going on for spring), and then maybe earth and water by proxy idk.
I'm open for any suggestions or notes. Thanks for bringing it up; I suck at giving info on my characters lol.

I don't know really. I haven't thought much about design, but Cheetah is probably gong to be yellow-themed or something. Or brown. At least in theory. I don't know how color will play into her design and it doesn't help that I haven't even designed her, lol. Anyways I headcanon that Cheetah yells a lot. She's either really quiet or really loud, and times when she speaks in a more normal tone are few.

The reference doesn't have to be a reference sheet, like I said. It can be just an image from shoulders and up or even just a plain full body without anything else. Not too complex if you want. I'll draw it any way you ask. So, who would you choose for this?

Hmm, kind of, but not everyone has them, if that makes sense? They're closely tied in with a character's Vision which is what gives them their elemental abilities. And a Vision is what people get when they do something that's kind of like a turning point for them, usually, and it's called the "eye of the gods" or whatever and the element they get is determined by what caused them to get the vision.
Pyro comes from passion, people who will pursue their hobbies or goals with their full heart. It's what I'm using for Lux in this AU. Hydro is for justice, but justice in the sense of either having a desire to do what's "right" or strictly following a moral code set upon yourself. You could be evil-aligned and still have a Hydro vision if you stick to your own moral code. Geo is for determination I think? It's kind of ambigous, but it stands for unwavering beliefs and a desire to overcome whatever obstacle you may find in your path. Firm as stone, you could say. Dendro is for knowledge, for people who decided to seek the truth or find knowledge despite what society wants or hardships. Electro is for uniqueness, for people that "don't quite fit in" with the rest of their kind for some reason, yet they don't doubt their path and actions and continue being themselves despite the fact that they're often seen as weirdos by others. Cryo is for opposite things, a state of being torn between one thing or the other that can't harmonize, and the user is or has gone through a contradiction in their lifestyle and/or beliefs at some point in their life.
So that's a brief overview from the top of my head. I could go more in detail with examples if you'd like. I personally find Genshin lore very interesting, and Visions attracted my attention especially because what I just said above isn't written anywhere. But, by analyzing the characters, the trends of which elements go with whom become really obvious, and it leads you to wonder about things.
Anyways this all because I was thinking of making a brief mention to Sunny having a vision in Lux's story, but nothing more than that, and then I started thinking more and more.
Can Sunny be a walking prism? That's a cool insight into your interpretation of spring. Could he make it rain?
For Lux I think my favorite applications of summer are heat distortion and mirages lol just because they seem fun to me. But there's a lot more. In thinking about summer, one usually thinks about the sun and the high temperatures that come with that, so she's mostly related to that and light. I'm sure she can manipulate heat and light separately as well as together.

I get what visions are in general but didn't hear anything about what you said there. Well, maybe a lil (I heard Wanderer gets a vision at the end of his lil redemption quest or something through comments on YouTube), but not enough lol.
My mind just asked "Does doing something responsible for once count as a turning point," bruh momentum but I can't even argue.
I dunno, none of these are clicking for me, maybe 'cause I put too much thought (for once) into what elements mean for me and, in turn, for Sunny. For instance, I wouldn't say he has any associations with justice, and I don't particularly associate determination with Sunny even though he does have the trait. Sunny explores the world too, so you could say he goes after knowledge, but really what he's going after is knowledge through experience, so that's kinda out too. Plus I hear a certain king in Genshin got a bad ending from seeking knowledge too much. And then I suppose Sunny (at least his younger self) doesn't fit in too much with society, but it's not really such a drastic thing, I suppose? And not to mention, I don't think he'd have such a contradiction while his parents are alive, and Pyro (fire in general) is definitely Sollux's thing. So idk.
So overall it seems Dendro fits best? That is, if the "knowledge through experience" thing applies, of course. I did see that there's an element called Wood that is a "sibling element" of Dendro and can only be triggered by Pyro, which is kinda nice if you wanted Sunny and Sollux to be able to work together hypothetically. But I couldn't find much info on this element (and it doesn't seem to be listed as one of the main ones). It really is okay if he doesn't occupy much of a role or isn't even very powerful; if he retains his ability to talk to animals in Genshin, maybe he could ask them for help or something idk.
Sunny can make rainbows, if that answers your question any. It does have to do with light refraction and reflection (along with water) iirc. Also yes, he can make it rain, but only to the extent of strong spring showers. I've always headcanoned that tornadoes and floods and stuff are Sollux's domain, even if it might not seem like it.

Wanderer is a very interesting case cause his cutscene is the first time we see anyone get a vision onscreen

He gets it because at that point he regained his memories of everything he had done before, including his reasons for doing so, and yet decided to break away from what he was and instead take a new path. Therefore, he got Anemo, for becoming a new person completely free from his past.
I'm ngl I really enjoyed his character arc bc he went from being a character I used to make fun of to one of my favorites character-wise.

If the person decided to be responsible from then or or took on that responsibility because of something greater involved, then probably yeah! Vision stories are kind of funny because some people get into life endangering situations or they just about die and their vision appears to save them, while others have some sort of big mental breakthrough or they just read a book and they get a vision.
One of my favorite vision stories for Dendro is this guy who witneessed a renowned scholar doing a lecture with wrong facts, so he stood up and corrected him even though the others might find that action impudent. The researcher accepted the correction and everything ended happily, and this guy found a dendro vision in his lap after the lecture finished.
Yo, it's so cool to read through your comparison for elements and Sunny :D and I think that his realizing that knowledge can come through experience in life could give him a Dendro vision if it's a turning point in his life. In terms of elemental reactions Dendro is my favorite because, yes, it reacts with Pyro to create the Burning status (burn damage over time basically), but I especially love it when it reacts with Hydro to create Dendro cores and THEN those cores can further react with Electro for Hyperbloom (an attack that seeks the enemy) or with Pyro for Burgeon (AoE explosive Dendro damage).
A note about the king you mentioned

King Deshret sought out Forbidden Knowledge for some reason (I think he was in love with a goddess who passed away, I haven't finished the Sumeru desert story, but I'd recommend it if you can find a summary or something). This is said to be "knowledge that doesn't belong to this world", and it causes people to go mad because their brain can't handle something that they're not supposed to see. Something very mystical and even scary, if you think about it. Normally, a person from Teyvat wouldn't even cross paths with this, though it plays a part in the Sumeru storyline which I adored.

TL;DR Sunny wouldn't have to worry about whatever happened there.
I have some interesting (imo) stuff for Genshin AU Sollux, which you'll probably get to see once I upload her dialogue and story and stuff to my roleplaying thread one of these days. She's based around the concept of wanting to be a fashion designer in this universe, which is her passion as I mentioned before.
"A fanatic of Fontaine-style fashion. Will often add her own spin to clothing to the point in which it becomes an unrecognizable, unique style. An aspiring fashion designer who dreams of being known throughout Teyvat one day, but has yet to achieve popularity in her hometown."

I did think of all your suggestions, but I haven't been as happy with my design skills (particularly centering around Galaxian) as of late so...yee. xD Galaxian is probably the most likely choice though, since Kiaane's hard to draw for me lol (and who knows what Hitan's correct look is). Plus I personally find him very fun to draw even with the dissatisfaction and all. I'll think about it and let you know if I have any questions. And again, if someone else happens to want a slot, then prioritize them over me. I extort enough art from you and Echo as is.

Yeah, I heard about that! I think it's interesting that a wind-related element applies for both the MC and Wanderer, since I associate the wind with change and travel, and it certainly seems both of them are associated with those things, even if it's not the qualifying criteria as you mentioned.
Thanks for calling it cool. I'm always worried when I share things xD. Realizations aren't really Sunny's thing though, he either instinctually knows things or stews on them. So maybe for his Vision it appeared when he was really young and he didn't even realize it was really anything special, since that goes with how GGaD!him had abilities/powers since he was young but just rolled with it. Also it's funny and you know I like funny things. Since you said the experience might not be that monumental, maybe he got the Vision when he really started trying to get out there more (so basically the usual kid's sense of exploration but amplified a few times), and so that kinda just happened lol. And for the sake of balance we can probably assume he doesn't know how to fight very well; he kinda just uses his powers the ways he's always used them, and won't involve himself too much in Sollux's story/anything going on as long as he's not supposed to (A.K.A. when you don't want him to).
I find it funny how Sollux has that aspiration of wanting to become a famous designer and all that (at whatever age she is) while her brother is kinda just,,, what even is he. He shows up to help her if she needs it but otherwise who knows what he gets himself into. People think he's homeless or something but no he has a warm and loving family lol. Why is he so weird lmiao
Imagining she opens her lil clothing store and he comes in and the guards immediately think he's a thief or something. Even though the store is in their hometown (where they've probably grown up in).

The Traveler and the Wanderer (aka Hat Guy). There's certainly something interesting in the Traveler having started out in the city of freedom, and probably more plot-related stuff there but I'm not gonna theorize atm.
B) hey, you know I like cool stuff. Kids can have Visions too. There are no age limits or any limits in general for who can or can't have visions. And considering there's a canon story of a character who got their vision after reading a book, well, there's a lot of freedom to make Vision stories.
Lol what you said about Sunny reminds me of another canon vision story of a girl who got a Vision one day and she just went "oh cool" and forgot about it soon after at her home, until her father had to explain to her what a Vision was and all xD. In general I also think I'd like to highlight that not everyone with a Vision can fight. Like, yeah, it gives you elemental abilities, but playable characters in-game don't necessarily have battle skill in their lore. Usually they'll just use their abilities to make their daily lives easier or stuff if they're not warriors or adventurers. Do you think Sunny would want to be an adventurer?
That would be kind of funny lol. In my hc, the family lives in Mondstat city, and both Sunny and Lux might have been born there (or just Lux, depending on age difference and timeline but I haven't thought much about it) but their parents come from another nation and have a different background altogether. I just think it's really nice that Mondstat has a history of accepting literally anyone from any part of Teyvat and making them feel welcome in their new lives. And then the siblings can live out their lives free of worries there.

It's ironic that when he keeps his original personality, he doesn't really have an aim, but when he's soulless (like in GGaD) he doesn't really have an aim either. It's in between that he actually has an objective he's aiming for/a role he wants to fill (an environmentalist in HPA, a mage in F/DA).
How do you think Paymon and Xenia met here?

I'll say I haven't headcanoned much for the parent part of the family. A general idea I can come up with is Paymon travelling over Teyvat for years without a fixed home (he was looking for adventure without being an adventurer himself) until one day he meets Xenia and they settle down in Mondstat for some reason. That's all I have. I don't know much about the nations that haven't been released in-game and it's hard for me to imagine Paymon being from any of the available ones atm. It might also be that I haven't put much thought into this AU version of him.

No worries. I haven't developed the AU much myself, and even then it's just a fun thing I do when I get inspiration or something since it's just characters adapted into the universe and it doesn't have a plot or anything.
I'd say there's a pretty good chance he does, but I'm not sure if that would be best in terms of like character creation and all. I don't know if Xenia has a Vision either, and it'd be kinda funny and rare to have a while family of Vision bearers.

Poor Xenia she deserves better xD but she doesn't need to have a Vision in my AU to be a non-NPC character.
I was going to type out headcanons for interactions with one or two NPCs in Mondstat and the leaders but I'll do it later.

Okay so yesterday I had a bunch of ideas but today they all went poof? Anyways, there's an NPC child named Flora who sells flowers at Mondstat's entrance. Lux has shown interest in her attempts to keep flowers fresh for long periods of time to see if it's feasible to put real flowers onto outfits. (Flora actually wants to refrigerate flowers but. Sollux is kinda dumb sometimes lol.)
Paymon will buy fresh flowers whenever he passes by Flora's shop because 1. Flowers and 2. He wants to support her business. So at home the Meeps probably have a lot of floral arrangements for decoration.

I'm free this week, so let me know if we can chat.
