i think it's really funny that recurring bosses in the metroid series are like. ridley, the purple pterosaur-dragon-alien that killed samus' parents trying to kill the toddler samus. and dark samus, who is like some kinda sapient radiation that, in order to save itself from samus, stole and consumed one of samus' powersuit things and now attempts to devour all of the blue radiation so that she can mind control people and take over the galaxy. phantoon, a mysterious being that may or may not come from another dimension and regularly destroys space ships and devours their energy.

some of them! moss, spice, herb, and polar were all on purpose; grinded out from outbreaks. sherbet was a random chance balloon i found after having a picnic and i had fifteen minutes left on the sandwich i made to get moss, so i hopped into area zero to try for a shiny zweilous or roaring moon. only got the zweilous, but that's fine i don't really like roaring moon tbh.
