i will do a thread somewhere down the line where the devout goes in and heals the people sufferin to the best of its abilities, but that's planning for not 4 in the morn
Offline
i wonder. who would be able to appear in a thread where the devout is in anatina healing the poor
Offline
I assume more devious beings, and some neutral characters or characters that can hide themselves welll
Offline
it would be very funny for like. oblivion to come down to slums and try to get under the devout's skin while it tries her best to not start a fistfight with a god

Scrap? Oblivion will scrap

critchun is like every beast. will knock your stuff of a table like cat. will flop on you like a big dog who doesn't understand that it's too big to fit in lap. tries to assault the heat lamp for more heat like a gecko.
Offline
if critchun decides to trust you, they will turn into a tiny creature and hide in your pockets/hood/hair at some point in your lifetime

back to dd healing people in the poor sections of the city. honestly i think it would be fun for her to meet opulenti(that's his name right) while they're both trying to do that and they both think the other is trying to be mean to the poor.
after they get that sorted out it'd be really funny if they started competing to see who is more helpful(probably the general since dd's only resources are garnered from those it's helped and they are not usually able to part with much)

critchun's blood base depends on where and when you draw it. usually it's iron, red blood, sometimes it's blue, copper, occasionally it'll bug out and go green, which is also iron but built different, rarely it'll go violet, also iron but built super inefficiently, but that's only for being water worm
Offline
blue and violet are for being in the weater
Offline
red is for everything else, including most water things other than cephalopods and crustaceans, except buggies

hmm. i realize now that i might have said critchun was before the discovery of machinery, but that's not early enough. considering the medeival sect doesn't have widespread machinery.
assuming a similiar timeline to earth, critchun was around for most(if not all/earlier) of the agricultural revolution, and began to lose import as "one of the top gods" around the beginning to middle of the bronze age. by the iron age critchun had began to fail, and by the time the cyber sect had become established as further along the society milestones than the other two; critchun had passed out in its decided hibernation cave
Offline
so even before considering how long she was passed out, critchun had been active for a long time before going eepy. lived through a lot of history, although most of it wasn't particularly interesting and even less of it he cared about
Offline
but also the most interesting things at the time probably would've been like. "hey did you hear about the ujag tribe finding a new way to plant their seeds?" and the domestication/beginning of domestication of most stock animals and dogs.
Offline
critchun could've been a well of information on the ancient history of forengard but all it cared to remember was that deer used to be bigger

thinkin about how funny it is that dust has never trusted anybody it's worked with. and the fact that it's never really been connected to either group it's worked in, it just sorta appears and hangs out with them on occasion. although i imagine that's changed somewhat by anatina being of interest to it
Offline
also extremely funny that anatina is only of interest to the CDs because dust appeared and said it'd be useful as a main base, as well as receiving worship if they could fix the problems caused by ishmael becoming a snack. like 90% of anatina's problems were caused by dust deciding that it didn't like felix
Offline
the other 10% is dust deciding that ishmael looked tasty and prospero jumpscare
Offline
i don't wanna clutter ishmael's place with things that reasonably only i'll care about, but it would be historical if critchun went to a meeting of the gods and everybody who doesn't Know was like "time why did you bring your weird dog" until it shapeshifts to fit more comfortably
Offline
also while dust would certainly be blacklisted, it'd be kinda funny if the darkest devout found her way there to act as a representative for it and everybody was being careful about revealing secrets until it, in short, said somethin like "i genuinely don't care, i'm only here because the flyers said there'd be food supplied" or "my liege had its fun, the only reason it cares about the kingdom still is because of the others"
Offline
wouldn't it be funny if mortals in the presence of ash aged faster
Offline
because ash is powerful, and their dominion and power are sourced from the act of passage through time. so what if like, minor beings without much claim to power or longevity were subjected to some of the effects brought with ash's domain of power.
Offline
if i wanted to word it poetically i'd say that they feel a sweeping sensation of passage, as though their end has began to slowly creep closer to the present.
Offline
unrelated to that i've always found the wording of the deity form weird.unnecessarily long; mostly for the Deity Of and Domain sections. like the former could be reworded to Dominions or Domains since that's generally what domain refers to. realm of power, not their house. for the latter, Sacred or Holy Grounds would fit better, and be more inclusive to the homeless deities. this is where they either retreat to when done doing things, or just where you'd typically see them when they're not in mysterious locations
Offline
while i'm talking about locales in forengard, i wanna suggest that a new type of form be considered; one for locations. whether kingdoms like anatina, noteworthy forests/other weird natury areas, landmarks, or just exceptional houses. it'd probably be awkward as one form for all of the above, so perhaps two different ones depending on the scale
Offline
i'd be willing to pitch in for the creation of these forms too btw, i've already some ideas for what would seperate them(like if a location is large enough to have its own set of wildlife, or whether or not it's all stored within one structure) and what would go into both
Offline
The following is just my opinion, but I feel like what you suggested doesn't really pare down the issue you see (the form length). You might just be rewording the terms to fit your impressions better. "Domain" generally speaking could refer to authority over areas like magic and fire as you mentioned, but it's just as applicable to spatial areas, such as those overseen by rulers or governments (which fits the role of deities in my view). And for me, I see "sacred/holy" as being too religious in implication to fit the more general purpose of GGaD deities, if that makes sense by itself.
For locations, I also see where you're coming from. Are you thinking about how vague Forengard is geographically? I infer that because I know past attempts at making a map have been made (and maybe those were trying to pare down the setting vagueness of the GGaD world). But overall I would be against making forms for locations, especially seeing as a good aspect of GGaD is how open the settings are. For me, it wouldn't feel right connecting places to the entire form approval setting, even if it were optional (the latter of which I feel like would be against the point of connecting them anyhow). Setting development is more of a personal thing usually, and if collaboration is needed, it'd be with forumers on equal status to each other, not a forumer and a mod.
I do feel like these suggestions (which are appreciated!) are related to that ever-ongoing struggle of accessing information (i.e. for others' characters, their deities' domains, and general settings) as well as how defined the world should be for this roleplay, but I personally don't feel like these methods would address, or begin to address, them. Obviiously, however, this is just how I see it, and I think the view of the overall community would be more accurate.

i was thinking that the location form would less be one to be accepted, more as like. a place for somebody to mark down all the stuff they have for the place, so that people can do threads there. like for anatina as an example, perhaps somebody wants to do a thread with a merchant character selling stuff in the kingdom; but are there restrictions on what you can sell without acquiring a permit? what will certain things sell for on average in the kingdom right now? how does the guard feel about a pop-up vender appearing?
y'know, that kinda stuff. a better word for that would be idk it's like midnight and thinking is hard, dossier? pamphlet? infomercial?
