It's a hard choice. To experience it first time animated or to go ahead an experience it in book form rn.
But I can help you out if you wanna read it:
If you don't mind spending money, you can read offical csm translations with the Jump+/VIZ media subscription. It's about 3 dollars a month.
If you want something free, there is manga plus, which currently has an event where you can read all the way through specific manga. csm is one of them. However, its only one ticket per chapter, so if you exit out of the chapter, you can't go back in. Oh, they also have official translations too
For me, csm is one of those stories that you can read over and over again and you'll spot new things, so I think all three options might be something to think about.
Edit: I just changed "all both options" to "all three options" Because being anime only is still a good choice, most likely.

It was terrible. Not in that the people and stuff were bad, I was just so inexperienced and probably not mature enough either
