Yesterday was my friend's birthday so I made him a card with a little drawing in the corner and as we were leaving he was like "I feel bad for not getting you something" because my birthday is almost exactly a week before his and I was just walking next to him trying to process the information
like
I made it because I don't get to make presents for people very often
And in my head I was just going "oH NO I MADE HIM FEEL BAD"
Offline
He thanked me for the card like 10 times and it was pretty sweet actually xDD

My siblings got me the BoTW Expansion Pass so I decided to replay the game
I opened the game for the first time in two years and oh boy nostalgia
I also cleared most of the Plateau in like three hours lol the first time it took me three days
I'm also glad that I waited so long to replay it. BoTW was an amazing way to get introduced into the franchise (to me) because of the way the story is presented to you. Link wakes up and knows nothing, and if it was your first Zelda title like it was for me, you don't either. You're discovering what's happening alongside Link
Playing it again after playing a bunch of other Zelda titles means that I'm looking at everything through a different perspective, noticing things that I didn't before, like the little bit of Zelda's Lullaby in the cutscene when Ganon reawakens in the castle, and that the four monks in the shrines hold their hands in different positions to form a Triforce.
bAsically I absolutely love this game--

You guys don't understand how funny it was when I restarted the game yesterday because I kept trying to use OoT controls
Then when I was going to the Bomb shrine I decided to fight the Guardian and I was so concerned I wouldn't be able to parry the laser but then I did it perfectly and my siblings were yelling whilst I kept screaming "I DID IT"
It was great
Also can we just appreciate how far Zelda games have come
in OoT the cutscenes were simple and usually just reused existing animations, where BoTW cutscenes are completely unique
Yeah playing the first 3D Zelda game and then the most recent was a good idea

Mozart loved making fun of people and he once gave a piece a lot of vocal leaps to make a soloist's head "bob like a chicken's" because he didn't like her
And then Haydn wrote a the "Surprise Symphony" because he noticed people kept falling asleep during the largo movements
And he wrote the "Farewell Symphony" where the players would get up and leave because their employer wasn't letting them go home when he was supposed to
Offline
Also there was that time Mozart intentionally wrote a piece badly to make fun of amateur composers

Oh, quite the tomfoolery
