I still have the drawing

Well, I thought that maybe Ryoo wanted to take Kiaane with her and Amadeus, but when they didn't go (for whatever reason), she instead put some sort of spell on him that would keep them safe because she had a feeling something might go wrong and didn't want them to get hurt if they got caught in the crossfire.
Not only is this not very thought out well, I also realize that I don't know how Kiaane has survived and looks the exact age as when the Thaohals were originally alive so that kind of ruined the idea lol
Offline
I will show it, but you have to not judge me because it's a crappy comic strip that's not even colored
Offline
Well thank you for having that idea and Ryoo wanting to protect Kiaane xD, that's sweet
Obviously (or at least I think that), I know more on Kiaane's situation than you do, so it's not your fault at all for ideas not working out. I don't really share "important" (plot-related, that is) info on my characters usually, after all. But as things become more fleshed out over time, I can put that into my own considerations, which I might then offer to you. So don't worry, it's not a bad idea by any means--just something that I can't really confirm at the moment, I suppose.
But one thing I can tell you is that with how well Ryoo knew Kiaane (especially compared to others), she might have figured out that they were unlikely to leave the Thaohals. I doubt it was something Kiaane ever told her, so she didn't know the reason why, but that would have made it so she had a logical reason for not trying to take them with her and Amadeus without the reason being she didn't want to try in the first place.
You know, something interesting (though it's more sad to me than interesting) is that a crucial part of Kiaane's current character is that they are always someone bound to be left behind, when in different circumstances they could have been with those they care for. Without certain circumstances, they could have tried to leave with Ryoo and Amadeus if only for the sake of Ryoo, but that in itself was impossible at the time (and remains impossible in the present).
You know, I have a theme song for Kiaane that I once posted that relates to their relationship with Ryoo. Idk if you saw it (you didn't comment, but idk xD), but if you want me to translate it again, I can do so and kinda post a brief explanation on it as well.
Dw, I won't judge. I have 0 qualifications to judge xD.

My heart for these two I swear T^T
Perhaps (just throwing out ideas, bear with me lol) Ryoo knew that they couldn't really leave, even if they wanted to, but she didn't want to leave without at least trying, even if she knew it wouldn't do anything. This would mean that Kiaane would be aware of her and Amadeus's plan to run away, but she probably thought (perhaps resonably so) that Kiaane wouldn't tell anyone else because they cared about her.
Or I'm just looking into this entire situation very wrongly xDD I just love these two and I want them to be happy (or at least as happy as Kiaane can be)

I APOLOGIZE FOR MY ILLEGIBLE HANDWRITING

It's not illegible, it's just the quality of the photo is,,, xD
But 'cause I remember the context (Ryoo sending them a letter and them just never giving it to anyone), I can see some parts of it? The parts nearer to the bottom are much more readable (though now that I look at it I can read all of it except for the top line lol), like I see "So you have chosen death" xD

The top row says "..." in the first picture, then "[Internal Suffering Intensifies]" and "Yoink!" in the second

Ryoo: ...Kiaane, it's just a letter--
Kiaane: You will never understand the pain and suffering I experienced defending this letter and I will continue to do so until I die

Eliza do you want (: theme song translation (:?
Tbh a part of that might make me need to change canon (including what I based the theme song on) so hmm (because I've always presumed that she didn't tell them and they didn't know) but idk. I don't particularly mind changing things from my end.
Anyways, if they did know, Kiaane wouldn't tell. xD So, "reasonably so."
But I feel like they might not have understood certain things,,, idk, I'll think about it more if it's verified as canon. xD
The biggest difference I think that would make is...wouldn't Kiaane have known that Ryoo died, then? Though, I guess it depends when she died. I've always somehow inferred that her and Amadeus' plan involved her needing to leave first, and her death (because of being discovered or something) resulted in Amadeus being forced into a situation where he ultimately decided that he should kill all the guild's members. But again, this is something to decide on Time's end, again.
Anyways, it seems they definitely knew she died at some point--otherwise why would they revive her?--but whether they know what exactly caused her death is up to development. Essentially, whether they thought that she escaped and died from something like old age somehow, or whether they found out the guild itself was responsible for her death--the former being unlikely because I feel like her death was made public by the guild as an example of what happens to traitors as well as the fact they didn't connect with her at all afterwards. One could argue that Kiaane maybe was out when the guild announced Ryoo's death, if it even had the time to do that considering how Amadeus seemed to act on a lot of impulse, but it feels like the guild would've waited to do so?? Idk, there is once again a lot of inferring here.

:000 song translation sure
Maybe he didn't have time to learn about her death, so he only learned about it after the rest of the Thaohal's revival.
I really want to revive Ryoo now I need her to be reunited with Kiaane T^T

Somehow just read my own post with "defending" as "defunding",,, (*swats politics away*)
I'll post the song translation on my RPing thread once I'm done because "then I might be able to find it again someday" (*laughs with doubt*)
Hmm, maybe. But what reason would there be to bring her up again now? It certainly feels like Elio and Aereon have left that behind.
Revive her and then we both get angsted after Kiaane has to let her leave xD

I was messing around trying to figure out how I actually want to draw Kiaane and I accidentally made him look like Link from The Legend of Zelda lol
As you can see I attempted to draw Kiaane smiling, but as you said, it is impossible to capture how nice his smile would actually be xD
