Oh yeah also I wrote out Amaranth's literal death and I accidentally traumatized myself and I've known he'd die for like three months :D
Offline
Oh gods my friend is going to actually cry if she reads it isn't she
Offline
SO ANYWAYS DO YOU GUYS WANNA READ IT
Offline
Berry sad
But uhhh yeah you're now planning death scenes uhhh yayyyy.
It's a somber thing. If you wish to post it, I'll read it. I'd probably be a bit sad too that you plan to kill off a character. Though I'm sure that's going to be a natural reaction

OWO I WANNA READ
Offline
OOH I WANT TO SEE YOUR REACTIONS
OK I POST IT SOON HOPEFULLY
Offline
I'm writing the scene on my computer to post and I've already come up with an alternate version of this scene that makes way more sense but I'll still post the original so don't worry I got this

My brother just said "We need to put the rooster inside before he gets blown away" and I had the sudden mental image of our rooster getting blown away by a very strong gust of wind along with a bunch of leaves and random items

Ok well here it is. Keep in mind this is mostly likely not going to be canon, this was mostly just exploring a different outcome.

Ariana leaned out of the window. Struggling a bit, she managed to pull herself up onto the roof. Amaranth looked down at her from his perch on the roof’s peak in surprise.
“How’d you know I was up here?” he asked.
“I didn’t,” Ariana replied, brushing off her dress and sitting next to him. “But I couldn’t find you anywhere else and thought this might be a good place to look.”
“They always make a good quiet place.” Amaranth admitted. “It’s pretty hard for most people to get up here.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” Ariana said standing up quickly. “I just wanted to make sure I knew where you were. I’ll leave you alone now.”
Amaranth caught her wrist as she started to leave. “No, it’s fine. Really,” he added, seeing Ariana’s expression. Slowly, she sat down again.
“We’ve been through a lot,” Amaranth remarked after a while.
Ariana nodded, looking into the dark, sunless sky. “So much has changed,” she said, twisting her black stripe of her between her fingers. “Still, I’m kind of glad it happened, though.”
“Why?” Amaranth asked curiously.
“Because then I wouldn’t have met you.” Ariana said with laugh. Amaranth’s cheeks turned slightly pink.
“I tried to kill you, though,” Amaranth pointed out.
“That wasn’t your fault.” Ariana said seriously. “You were under a curse. You couldn’t control it.”
Silence fell between them again.
“That night,” Amaranth said quietly, “before you knew about the curse, did you think I was a monster?”
“No, of course not--” Ariana started, but Amaranth cut her off.
“What did you think then? In that moment? When I was so close, when I could have—could have—” he buried his face in his hands, unable to finish what Ariana knew he had been about to say.
Ariana got up and stood in front of him. Gently, she pulled his hands away from his face, but not letting them go. “But you didn’t,” she said. “Yes, you almost did, but part of you was still in there and that still matters.”
Amaranth slowly looked up into her eyes. He looked as though he was making his mind up about something. “Listen, Ariana, I—” he broke off, his eyes widening as he noticed something behind Ariana. Grabbing her about the waist, he set her next to him, protecting her with his wings.
“What—” she started to ask, but through Amaranth’s wings she saw a dark figure standing at the edge of the roof, watching them. The only thing she would make out from the shadows it seemed to be made of was its glowing red eyes. It started towards them.
“Stay away!” Amaranth growled. “Don’t come near her!”
The figure stopped, then, raising one shadow arm, snapped its fingers.
Amaranth went rigid. Ariana felt his hand tighten around her waist.
“Run.” He muttered, as if fighting to speak. “Go!” As the figure disappeared, he pushed her away from him, then fell to his knees, his chest heaving. Ariana started towards him.
“Get away!” he snarled. His pupils were slits. Blue flames flickered across his wings. Then, without warning, he dashed towards the edge and jumped off the roof.
Ariana rushed to the edge and used a wind spell to get to the ground. Amaranth was slowly getting to his feet. Blood trickled down the side of his face, purple in the blue light of his flames.
Indigo burst into the street. “What’s going on? What’s happeni—” she stopped dead.
Seeing her expression, Amaranth started to laugh, a crazed, maniacal laugh Ariana had hoped to never hear again. “Surprised?” he asked with a tone of deathly sweetness.
Indigo drew her dagger. “You wish,” she growled.
Ariana could feel she was lying. She knew Amaranth could, too. Indigo was just surprised; she was afraid.
Amaranth watched the two of them. “No new tricks?” he asked, sounding disappointed. “That’s fine. It’ll make this much easier.” Claws extending, he charged towards Ariana.
Ariana threw up her arms, creating a light barrier. Indigo threw herself at Amaranth, trying to pin his hands.
“Do—the countercurse—Ariana!” Indigo said through gritted teeth.
“I can’t!” Ariana cried. “I don’t have my pan flute!”
Amaranth, seeing an opening, seized Indigo by the head and threw her into the opposite side of the street. She fell in a heap and did not get up.
Amaranth turned to Ariana. Unable to hold it longer, her barrier fell. She started to back away from him.
“This isn’t you,” she said quaveringly. Amaranth grinned menacingly.,
“Oh, this isn’t?” he asked. “And what makes you say that?”
“Amaranth I know wouldn’t try to cause this much destruction.” She replied, trying to sound braver than she felt.
“I’m not the Amaranth you know.” He sneered.
“He’s still in there,” Ariana said, starting to gather a bit of her courage. “He stopped you before.”
“That part of me is a coward!” Amaranth spat. “He wouldn’t dare try to fight me again, much less win.”
“You’re wrong,” Ariana said, standing her ground. “He’s still fighting you, and you know it. He’s not the coward. You are!”
Amaranth lunged at her, catching her by the throat and pinning her to the ground. “Watch it, elf. I might just make your death more painful than it has to be.”
“Give…him back…” Ariana gasped, trying to pry Amaranth’s hands from her throat, her eyes shut tightly as she struggled. “This isn’t the real you, Amy…”
Her eyes opened as she felt something hot and wet fall on her cheek. She looked into Amaranth’s eyes. Hot tears bubbled up, steaming slightly as they fell. He pushed himself off her and stumbled back as Ariana sat up, coughing.”
“I’m…sorry.” Amaranth said softly.
Ariana’s eyes widened. She struggled to get up, trying to get to him before it happened. “No, Amy!”
Amaranth smiled sadly. Then he plunged his claws into his own heart.

Ah, it's an alternate death scene. I see. Not main canon. Yet. That's more relieving.
Honestly, I expected more after the death part, you know? The aftermath. I think that's where the sadness can truly lie. The others have to deal with the rebound of losing a member of a team
Offline
Well I have that but it's way worse that this burning pile that is an alternate outcome
Oh yeah and by "an alternate outcome" I mean "a different way Amaranth might die" :D
Offline
Yes, an alternative death scene. Fun. Indeed.

It pains me that I can't share the really cool art I've been making but (:
Offline
Why not?
Offline
Privacy reasons. They're stylized drawings of real people and some of them have their names in the drawing. Sad though, the most recent one is my favorite ;-;
Offline
Oh, sad.
Couldn't you edit out the names if you really wanted to though?
Offline
They're still real people, and if what everyone tells me isn't just trying to say nice things, they are identifiable, even in a stylized drawing. As much as I want to, I don't think it'd be very fair to the people I've drawn to share it without knowing if they'd be okay with it.
idk maybe I'll ask my mom, she'll know these things.

I played "Toy Solider Waltz" and "Piano Memories" :D
I improvised on the first one a bit but hey it still sounds pretty good I think o.o

Please excuse my technique it's probably terrible (:

Oh well that's fine then. Makes sense.
Technique is excused because I can't even play the piano. In my eyes, it looks quite natural.
But that's some really good stuff! I really liked the first song! I'm in fact trying to find it now to add to my list of cool songs
