I know I already HC that my version of mermaids don't like their chests being covered which is why Genesis tends to not wear shirts/has most of xyr chest is exposed, but I'm also thinking of HCing that mermaids are intersex or all half mermaids are intersex (for my version of mermaids, obviously)

Okay so backstory time:

So basically Alma was Nivia's dad, her mom leaving them while Nivia was a baby. Alma was well-known for his medical skills to the point where it was rumored he had magical healing powers, even. One day, Alma was unable to pick Nivia up from school due to having to stay at work because of a meeting, so Nivia walked home. Unfortunately, she was kidnapped. Alma went into a deep depression. Four months later, in the dead of winter, Nivia's almost-mutilated body was found in the middle of a field, her legs and arms tied up. She seemed to have died from hypothermia.

Warning because of the content of what happened to Nivia (which I was inspired by the tragedy of  Junko Furuta, also known as the "44 Days of Hell")

after examining her body, as well as info from the two girls who had escaped with Nivia, it came out that Nivia was tortured (force-fed very bad things that nearly killed her, burned, forced to walk on nails and glass, ect) and raped throughout those four months. When she escaped, she as well had found ways for the two other girls who to escape along with her, in which the girls survived because Nivia stalled the kidnappers, which led to her eventual death because the kidnappers decided to beat her, tie her up, and leave her in a field (which as stated before, it was mid-winter, so she died of hypothermia

Once Alma learned of the details of Nivia's death, he spiraled into such an insanity that he set a curse, created from his own rage and depression, on himself. He vows to kill Nivia's kidnappers, even if it meant harming and killing innocent people. Due to the curse, Alma's body changes more and more monster-like, even more so when he killed children or innocent people. He eventually is known for as being a cryptid in some areas, and other areas he is known as a serial killer

Eventually, after years of investigation, Alma kills Nivia's kidnappers. He then sees his own reflection after many years, never quite seeing himself before until now due to all his focus on avenging his daughter.

He realizes of what he became, and he was so overwhelmed with guilt and grief of not only his own daughter's death, but the deaths of children he killed, that Alma commits suicide by tearing out his own organs


I like to think that when first summoning Alma, he isn't known as Alma but rather by whatever name he was given as a serial killer. I haven't came up with a name yet tho wjhfjsjfd. And then Alma doesn't give you his real name, Alma Amor, until the final master-servant bond

Nivia goes by Echo because she doesn't want anyone to call her by her birth name except for her dad. She feels like it's too special of a name, too personal, so she tells people to call her Echo
