"Right behind ya."
Well, Iollan doesn't remember any fountains being removed. They probably were cleaned recently, though. So they should be sparkly.

((Kinda was waiting for Apollo to be POVed, unless I missed something?))
"Excuse me, but could one of you tell me the time?"

Apollo said, "Imma guess and say it's eleven thirty!" Apollo doesn't have a watch, so he doesn't know exactly, and the thought of pulling out his phone to check hasn't occured to him yet.

Iollan looks at his watch, looks directly at Apollo, and just grins.

Apollo smiled back, excited, "Am I right?!"

(I can't remember if we actually made a vague description of the time. If I re-read this thread and see that, I'll edit both posts accordingly.)
"Off by around half an hour. Probably my fault," he adds, referring to how he dragged them all outside for a bit. "Being an astronomer has its perks, huh?" he asks, his grin now being better described as a smile. "Or is it a natural talent?"
Offline
"It's a little bit of both," Apollo said.

How modest.
"Ah. Can't say I'm not jealous." He pauses, then grins a little more. "Though maybe if you happen to be there when I'm running and I've forgotten my watch, you could time me."
Yeah! Service exploitations.

"Being able to know the time with a glance at the sky sounds like a vey useful application of your talent," Germaine complimented.
Offline
Apollo lightly laughed.
"That reminds me of my days as a student! People would ask me the time a lot, and I'm real good at keeping track of things. Never was late except for once in my third year 'cause I slept in. I had stayed up aaaallllllll night doing some charting and research due to the exams that were coming up and... oh, uh, also thank you!"
Apollo blushed a bit, realizing he was rambling and kind of boasting a bit too much, which caused him to almost forget to thank Germaine for the compliment.
Apollo stuffed his hands into his pockets, looking around the hallway to try to hide his embarrassment.

"Guess your teachers were happy to have you as a student."
After the next turn, Germaine gestured forward. "Ah, there's the fountain! Have your fill," she said with a grin.
Offline
"Don't think that you can escape the fate of drinking its holy fountain water as well," Iollan says all ominously to Germaine. "You need to hydrate from all that time under the sun."
Offline
Apollo went over and drank from the water fountain.
Offline
"Well, it really looks refreshing," commented Germaine.
Offline
"Is it?" Iollan asks Apollo, not really expecting an actual answer.
Offline
Apollo gave a happy thumbs up, stepping away from the fountain to let Germaine drink.
Offline
"Good to know."
Germaine let the water run for a couple seconds before leaning over to take a sip. Indeed, the water was fresh and cool. Perfect for the weather.

(Me, now feeling nostalgia for water fountains: )
Iollan stands there and tries to not guess at whom they'll be meeting too much. Still, he's never been very good at stopping himself from thinking, at least when he's already started.

Apollo stood around awkwardly, spacing out...
Water, water, ocean, pool! Apollo liked swimming. Too bad summer was soon going to be over, and Apollo probably wouldn't have time to swim due to school, huh. Ocean... seashells! Seashells are nice, all pretty and such. Smooth shells, rough shells, bumpy shells, bland shells, colorful shells, Apollo liked shells.

Not more than a minute passed before she was done drinking. Germaine straightened and dabbed at the edge of her mouth with her hand's side.
"I suppose we should get to the office now?"
Offline
(The message cut off at "dabbed" on the phone. Real funny.)
"Probably, yeah," Iollan agrees. He glances at Apollo. "How about it, Apollo? Is this unanimous?"
Offline
Apollo, who had no idea of what he was asked, nodded and said, "Yeah." The guy prayed that he didn't just screw the conversation up and sounded idiotic.
Offline
"Germaine's done live-drating," Iollan prompts, most likely knowing that Apollo's just pulling out what he hopes is right.
Offline
"Haha, I have! I suppose we go to the office now, right?"
Germaine crossed her arms.
Offline
"You okay with that, Apollo?"
Offline
Apollo blinked, took a moment again, and then smiled, finally registering what he was asked, "Oh! Yea! Let's go!"

(I think we all get that they all walk to the office, so timeskip?)
