[F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

"All passengers, the approaching stop will be Nazoja. Please make sure to gather your belongings at this time. Thank you for spending this part of your night with us, and have a great rest of your night."

He puts down the book he's been not reading and breathes out a half sigh of relief. It just so happens that, as someone who usually sleeps at a very early designated hour each day, staying up past midnight has not fared well for Sunshine Meep.
Well, why didn't he take a nap on the way here, you might ask? That's a good question. All things considered, including the fact that their destination is the last stop of this train line, perhaps he could have. But he didn't.
Why? Well, he probably wouldn't be able to explain it himself, but most of all, he's been afraid that he'll lose his sister, whether the means of losing her hypothetically would be her wandering somewhere or someone kidnapping her.
You see, what's one of the most dysfunctional sibling relationships in the paralleled universe is, in this universe, not such a dysfunctional one. If things turn out the way one wants them to turn out, then perhaps it isn't dysfunctional at all.
Anyways, after a brief pause--as if registering that finally, he'll have more than just the train's rattlings and automated messages to keep him awake--he starts abiding by the message's reminder. He unzips the backpack he's carrying, which is currently on his lap, and places the book carefully into its own designated opening.
And...that's it, really, for his own preparations.
He glances at the girl sitting across from him, likely about to remind her to do the same if she isn't already doing it.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

No further prompt was needed for Sollux to grab her things. In mere seconds, the teenager swept up her square backpack from the floor and got a grip on the bookbag at her side. Everything was right where it should. She only had to stick a hastily-folded pamphlet back into the bookbag, and while doing so, she pulled out her phone to check the time.
It may be late, sure, but the excitement of travel had kept her fully awake through the night. Sunny had probably endured a lot of talking from her during the initial part of the trip. Then, after a while, Sollux had drifted into silence as she waited for the arrival at destination. Even though the wait felt almost too long, she could entertain herself with thoughts of what to do.

Phone in hand, Sollux grinned brightly at her brother.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

She's met with very bleary-looking eyes that stare at her, swivel back to the table between them, and then return to staring at her again.
"...What happened to all the food you took out earlier?" he asks. Even his voice makes it clear that he'd rather be asleep than awake.

"I have some roasted peanuts left, if you want them," she replied, beginning to rummage in one of her backpack's pockets. "Or maybe you'd like cashews better?"

"No, keep them for yourself. I was just asking," he answers. He seems to contemplate stretching, but decides against it for whatever reason. Then, he stands up to go get the rest of their luggage.

"No," comes the initially perplexing answer, "but rather I fear the consequences that would inevitably result from eating a tiger's food."
Sunny? Joking?
He has enough height and arm strength to be able to get their luggage without having to ask someone for help. He sets them down. Really, most of this is probably extraneous stuff, especially when it comes to Sollux's bag, but it's not too much, and in Sunny's opinion, it's better to bring a little more than bring too little.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

"Would be awfully inconsiderate if they only let the passengers know right before the arrival to the station," he reasons. He looks out the window, at the blur of different shadows and silhouettes dimly lit by the passage of the train and its lights. It's noticeably getting brighter outside, he thinks. Shrugging a little, as if convincing himself of something, he heaves his backpack up and stands to his full height.

Sollux shouldered her bags, ready to spring up as soon as the train stopped. She glanced outside.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

"I'm ready if you are. Make sure to check under the seat to ensure nothing fell under it," he reminds her, which hopefully isn't annoying.
There, surprisingly, aren't many people left on the train, and there are even fewer people on their little section of it. Sunny had decided that had more good than bad in it.
After 20 seconds, the announcement starts again. This time, though, it's with a more human voice--one different than the other one used for automatic announcements.
"Alright, crew. We are approaching Nazoja as I speak. This is once again a reminder to gather your belongings. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your night."
Sunny mouths a "Thanks" out of habit, presumably to the actual announcer, and adjusts his grip on the supporting bars. The other hand is used to steady the luggage as the train slows down, its horn sounding, just loud enough to be important but not loud enough to be overbearing. The doors sound briefly, reminding anyone who might be standing against them (despite written warnings) that they are about to open.
He walks towards the set of doors farther away from where they're standing, carrying all of the luggage along. He stops briefly to make sure his sister is following.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Sollux bent forward to dip her head below the seat.
"Yeeeeeah, nothing here. I got everything!" she confirmed. Then she hopped up, straightening in a single movement. And that's all she said before hurrying behind Sunny. Maybe the anticipation of leaving the train took priority over talking.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Hopefully, she didn't just ram her head onto the table.
The closer to the doors they get, the more they can feel the fading warmth from the train's interiors slipping through the open gaps, fading into the night. From Sunny's feel of things, this temperature is likely on the colder side of Nazoja's usual weather...which should be expected from the current season, he reasons.
Nonetheless, "the colder side of Nazoja" is much better than other places he's been to. In fact, it's not unpleasant in the least.
Still, he doesn't want any risk of catching anything like a cold as of this time. He nestles his chin into his scarf and squares his shoulders a bit, as if to get them to fit better in his jacket. Then, he walks down the steps, lifting his arms and the luggage a bit and keeping them close to his sides.
He's successful; nothing bumps or makes awkward sounds on the way down. Stepping onto the yellow caution demarcations and then forward, he turns around to look at Sollux--and this train, one more time.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Her standing up had been controlled. And even if she had bumped on the table, she wouldn't have complained or anything right then.
Keeping a tight grip on her things, Sollux hopped out from the train. She shuffled to be next to Sunny. As she offered a smile, she hastily closed up the buttons on her jacket. The temperature change wasn't very comfortable to her.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

He's looking through their surroundings, in his preoccupation not returning her smile in any way.
Though his heart wants so much to just focus on the objects and background there, he needs to look for people. And so look he does, for any faraway glares or feigned distance, though at the same time he takes in the bright lights, the nearby building and gateways, and the whistle of the wind--maybe the latter more so than the former.
It's like this place is inviting him to let his guard down. He keeps his grimace locked between his teeth and breathes out a little frustration. If he's already like this, how will he act later on? Other reprimands flow through his head, though they, too, feel a little off in this environment.
Well, maybe it's a good thing that they won't be sleeping at the station. Beyond the obvious advantages, of course. And it's not prudent to stay here even if it's for surveying the surroundings, either.
He eases himself a little to the side so to better look at her without feeling like he might sprain something in his arm. "Aren't you supposed to be the one more familiar with where to go from here?" he asks. "Please, lead the way."

"For real?" Sollux asked. Without waiting for an answer, she continued, "Alrighty! I think it's just a matter of following the correct directions...and there should be some around here..."
Looking around for any signs that could give her hints on where to go next, Sollux paid more attention to the moment and the task at hand than the general surroundings.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

There's a sign a little far away labeled "Arriving Trains." The next train isn't gonna come until a pretty long time--half a day, it looks like. Doesn't seem like what she's looking for.
Maybe they should just follow the other passengers, who are heading towards the nearby building.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Sunny gives a small "Hm," which is supposed to mean affirmation of some sort--like "Okay." Then, with all of the luggage that he is still carrying, he follows after her rather slowly. His pace is not particularly noticeable due to their height difference, however, and seems quite suitable in its steadiness.

She kept her sight on the way. Gotta be responsible. But she still was curious, and at times she gave little looks around to check out the area and the building.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

The closer they head to the building, the more some faraway signs become apparent. They're not necessarily neon colored, but they are brightly colored, easy enough to see at this point. Presumably, their hue and positions were adjusted so that they would not flash the eyes of train operators. Anyhow, the text "STATION EXIT" are printed boldly in contrasting color to the background for all to see.
Most of the other passengers don't seem to be talkers, but a few do seem to be night owls, and so the distant hum of conversations drifts through the wind from one side to another, and then to yet another place.
Seems like they're about to head down a flight of stairs soon, into the building. Even from what they can see, Sunny feels like the lighting might be a little too bright, though it's not too uncomfortable. He would personally prefer it be toned down a notch, though.
No time to worry about that. He feels the priority to instead be to observe how other travelers choose to carry their luggage down the stairs. Unfortunately, for him that is, most of the supposed "travelers" don't exactly seem to be travelers in their sense--they seem to be people returning home for the most part.
Well, he feels glad that they didn't pack much, at least in the relative sense. He stops a little before the stairs to check his balance before lifting the luggage he's carrying up further and descending the stairs.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Sollux went down the stairs with a silly little hop on each step, accompanied by the jingle of an empty keychain she had. Her bags did not feel heavy at all. She remained in excited silence, and once she ran a bit ahead of her beother, Sollux made sure to turn to check on him.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

He appreciates that.
Sunny contemplates taking a breather by the time they reach the end of the stairs, but he immediately decides against it. After all, he reckons, they've fallen behind already. And so he quickens his pace and looks at the signs, squinting a little.
He was right about the lights--they're a little bright, but once he has gotten accustomed to them, they should not be of any annoyance. And inside this building, they illuminate different signs indicating different bus terminals, restrooms, and the following sections of the station should one choose to continue walking.
Sunny has gone over the directions for this part enough that he knows which terminal they are looking for: B-16, which is rather close. After all, they are headed to a rather popular spot in the city--it makes sense that the bus leading to it has its terminal situated in a place for greatest convenience. Honing in on the sign briefly, he relaxes his shoulders somewhat before heading in the terminal's direction.

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Sunny lets his gaze drift somewhat, mostly in a continued search for any suspicious objects or individuals in their surroundings but also in search for any indication of when the bus will arrive.
There are no indications of the arrival schedule, contrary to his expectations and, frankly, his preferences. He tries not to let such a detail weigh on his mind, however. Instead, he just continues heading over to the terminal, pausing just ahead of all the seats in the area.
"Where should we sit?" he asks Sollux quietly, somewhat rhetorically. Its actual meaning leans more towards "Choose a seat, I'm bad at choosing."

Re: [F/DA] It's the approaching end of a long night.

Sunny watches her blankly--he's definitely not in the best thinking state at the moment--before he just follows, not questioning the reasoning behind her choice in the slightest. He looks around a little more before starting the process of putting down the luggage he's carrying. He does so carefully, meaning to put them in a way so that he can just as easily pick them up later.
"If you need to use the facilities, you can do so," he says, as if making a decision, as he sits next to her. Draping his arm lightly over the handlebar between her chair and his, he narrows his eyes slightly at what's outside the window, but he can mostly just see his reflection staring back at him, an aftereffect of what is still a rather glaring brightness from the indoors.

Sollux drew up one leg into her seat.
"I'm fine. Right now, I mean. Will the bus ride be long? If it is, then I should probably go just in case. But how long till the bus gets here anyways?"
As her other leg wasn't short enough to swing in the air beneath the chair, Sollux contented herself with tapping the floor lightly with her foot.
