Around 12, might be more or less.
I was really happy the other day cause my mom finally found a sunscreen that doesn't leave my skin all oily :3 comfortable sunscreen, that's great. My mom is quite focused on making sure my brother and I have correct sun protection, so at least there's that.
No, I just don't have enough money xD
xD you'd better
Offline
Nice. Do not go outside, yeah.
Remember that you need a certain SPF on sunscreen for it to be effective. It's going to be uncomfortable but it's worth it.
And yes, I am transferring the preach I told my family which they ignored to you, lol

We're happy staying at home xD reduces other risks too.
Yes, that's important too. Don't worry though I know the guidelines for sunlight protection. I wouldn't use a sunscreen that can't keep me from UV rays.
Smh they'll suffer the consequences,,,

You didn't know the screen-under-the-sun thing so I couldn't be sure lol. Good that you know it, though.
Lol my family is fun, they make me more disappointed every year

Yep, rest easy on that part :-)
Tbh I can see that from your posts, I don't know them but I kinda get disappointed with them too.

Oh I have so many fun stories I want to share on that note, but I shall refrain from doing so xD
(Echo might like them xD)

Yes, tell Echo xD

I'll tell you both once we can chat and I have filtered through the ones that might make you guys angry, even though I'll probably end up smattering off those stories too
Lol it'll be like "Hi" "Hola" "We haven't talked in a while! *very excited*" "Okay so do you wanna hear funny family disappointment stories"
-Galaxian-
Offline
Even if I got angry, it's not like there's much I can do. Can I even do anything at all xD. And some of those stories are actually amusing...
Lol yeah I can imagine that xD but there's so many things to talk about, and we'll probs end up going off-topic who knows how many times
Btw the other day I asked about Lianhuan because I sketched him and I wasn't sure if I had just committed a sin xD
Offline
"Yeah that's funny and vaguely irritating but (*INSERT NAME OF CHARACTER IN ALL CAPS*) THO--"
There is no sin, only existence

I think that has Echo vibes xDDD
I'll show you the sketch once I get an opportunity to take pictures
I might have completely messed up the clothing though, I just hope I didn't do some kind of fatal mistake in it xD
Offline
Intentional, just slightly altered
Very cool, thank you in advance

By the way, do we need more setting design for F/DA, or is it all good?
I don't know how I'll go with roleplaying Sunny lol much nervousness
-Galaxian-
Offline
I kinda want to say yes because I'm just nervous about begining the roleplay xD. But the thing is that right now I can't specifically think of something that would need more design.

Well, I guess we can start with this. How tall are most buildings on average? (measured in stories) What's most of the population comprised of (age groups, gender, etc., if applicable)? Where are the schools? Where do they get food from?
-Galaxian-

A short reply I guess:
I imagine that most buildings have a maximum of three stories, maybe some have up to five depending on what they are, but I also imagine that there's a part of the city where the buildings are a lot taller. Not skyscrapers, but just taller for other purposes.
I hadn't given the age group much thought. The first thing that comes to mind is that the population might be mostly made up of adults, like from young adults to middle age. Just a thought, idk what else.
Maybe the city is kind of divided into certain areas and each area has its local school. Maybe there's a private and public school. For some reason I doubt that there are many centers for higher education available, but I can't explain.
I don't know, perhaps the city mostly relies on trade in that part.
I think this city still lacks a name, doesnt i't?

I agree that there are not necessarily skyscrapers but that most of the buildings rather tall, but then our imaginations diverge. I imagine that most of the homes are apartments, and perhaps the occasional multi-family complex neighborhood. I considered that this city may be, outside of a tourist spot, close to a college city/town, and so there is a side of the city that is aimed towards getting those college students to live in them. Outside of relying on many kids from outside to come in, the school system in the city is rather succinct, hoping (and perhaps expecting) that kids move from primary school to secondary school to the nearby, very convenient post-secondary college/university. As such, the people outside of the university students (who tend to be a little more diverse) tend to be quite close and are not really known for moving about, at least not by the time they settle in this city. Adding to the schools component, I expect that there may be only a few schools, or perhaps even just one school, for each grade level section. For instance, there is only one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school, or perhaps two of those are combined.
Worth thinking about: What are common past-times of the residents of the city, according to your imagined setting?
The city name is completely up to you, as I believe has been mentioned before. Do pardon me if I am wrong on the matter.

It's okay that you haven't responded. I'm just putting this here because it's more practical. The thing you can do to help me for my Spanish assignment is tell me a food from Peru that you think is best/you want me to research. Only one food item, please, so choose carefully. Please let me know when you can, but it's no rush. If you can't choose, I can search some up on my own. It's just more fun to research things friends mention, y'know, so that's the reason why I'm so adamant on asking you.

Yeah I'll get to replying, just give me a bit, I'm sorry.
For your last post though: I think you could research lomo saltado. It's a main dish and one my family really loves xD cause it's very tasty!
If you have a chance to make it then do it!!! Peruvian cuisine is interesting because it's a mix and match of several things and in the end we have unique dishes :D our cuisine is the best in the world ;)

I was thinking apartments, but not the tall tall kind. Do you think there's condominiums in the city? Maybe on the side directed to the college students?
I like the "close to a college city" idea, I think it gives our city one more purpose and in my mind some more dynamism.
I'm used to seeing way too many schools for each grade level xD so maybe that's why I imagine there being several schools in the city. I think there could be like two main schools (each with its subdivisions for age), because it's being hard for me to imagine just a single school for everyone lol.
Good question there. Not something I've thought much about, but maybe they go to the movie theaters a lot xD.
Okay, I didn't remember that. I'll try to come up with something.

I don't know what "tall tall" means, but going off of China having 20 stories while in America I think of 3-4 stories, then I'll go with the former being "tall tall." I was thinking of the latter.
"Perhaps the occasional multi-family complex neighborhood" is directed towards buildings like condos and townhouses, yes. Thinking about it, apartments count as multi-family complexes, so I guess that was a big dumb moment on my part. Oopsies. (*is too tired to care about their own intelligence at this point lol.*) I guess I thought of those being the more prestigious parts of the city, not necessarily for college students. In real-world context, that probably makes more sense. So, likely closer to the center.
So how are those two schools divided? Is one public and the other private? Where are they located? Keep in mind that it would likely be in poor taste for the city's leadership/board to allow a wide disparity in education when it happens that the supposed shared destination would be the college nearby. In addition, the city isn't very big, since it's more suburban than urban. I guess that could be changed, though. If there is one such disparity, there could be some political history with debates on the topic that isn't really relevant in itself but does lend to worldbuilding. And perhaps that also means that there is a division in the city's residents, whether due to this issue and/or others...hmm.

Alright, sorry, I guess I've just been really tired all these days too lol my reading comprehension isn't at its finest xD
Ok, I'm fine with that arrangement. No objections.
Right, I keep forgetting that we're working with a suburban setting. Please excuse me xD. Maybe instead of two different schools, either public or private, it would be better to have a single uhhh school brand(???) that has maybe two buildings. Maybe one is larger than the other. The idea for location would be so that they're easily accessible from both sides of the town, so one could be more on the edge and another one more closer to the centrer (not at polar opposites sides).
I don't know, I don't think I'm in the mood to imagine political stuff right now xD. What you mentioned is a possiblity though. And I'm not sure, do we really need all thise details xD I mean it's fun but...well I guess it's beter to go weell-prepared.

Hey, did you get to find info about lomo saltado? I was just wondering because today we just had it for lunch and I remembered xD
Offline
I don't know about taste or smell, and I don't know much about aesthetics, but in terms of looks Chinese cuisine has Peruvian cuisine absolutely beat lol not necessarily a certain thing since Chinese people realllyyyy love arranging stuff lol can't relate. The most I arrange are items and fruit platters
Honestly idk if I can make Latin American foods (that don't resemble Chinese foods I already eat) anyways, I can't eat spices lol and that seems pretty central to Latin American foods as well
I did research it, but it was at 2 A.M. lol. Honestly it looks like what I have every day, just a bit more...jumbled together ig idk. Uhh, different ingredients? I don't know. I don't usually eat beef.
I don't eat deep-fried stuff when I can, so there goes the French fry part of lomo saltado at least ig. I haven't cooked in a long time. Might get back to it soon? No clue. Idk. I'm tired, lol

It's okay. Even if you weren't that tired, it'd be understandable
It's okay, you live pretty close to an urban setting after all.
Yeah, I wasn't saying that there'd just be one school building. That's...weird.
Don't worry, I am always in the mood to imagine how fictional characters can be bad yet still be better than real people (:jk rn I'm not in such a mood either. I am just tired.
Idk, I mean, usually I wouldn't be discussing it, I guess. So no, but also maybe?

Oh the taste is really good believe me lol
I don't think I've had actual Chinese food like from China. Also I don't know much about arranging foods xD. I just enjoy food.
We sure love our spices here lol, but especially ají (and I'm a failure of a Peruvian because I don't like ají sauce much xD). If you like potatoes, though, I think you could make something similar to causa! It's essentially hand-mashed potatoes with lemon and salt, and you layer it and sandwich tuna or chicken between the potatoes. I love it lol.
Oh it does? That's interesting lol. Here at my house we tend to eat it a lot but with chicken instead of beef. Last week was a special occasion tho :0
Idk, my family tends to replace the french fries with rice xD. Just family things I guess. Unfortunately we do eat quite a bit of deep-fried things though.
Ah yes, tiredness, a mood.
