Skipper is the main protagonist for a novel I'm planning to write this year
So basically I had to make her epic
Offline
The first thing I thought of when I read the name Skipper is the penguin guy
Name the scientist after something but make it a vague reference that will require something
Offline
HAHAHAHAH I CAN'T UNSEE IT
Also I've decided to call the scientist Dmitri
Offline
She don't look like skipper at all, but it's just the name
epic name yes

Me and Specter are doing an art trade
So I drew Dion and Germaine.
Germaine is probably super inaccurate because I had to draw her from memory rip
Offline
Awww they're so cute! Thankee uwu
Yep Germaine has freckles and curlier hair, but she looks nice anways! I love that flower on her hair, and she's smiling to nicely aaa uwu
Offline
I gave her freckles but the blush on her cheeks covered it up -.-;
Offline
I drew GGaD!Specter for the Art trade I'm doing with Specter
Offline
A lot of small drawings. From left to right, up to down, Phantom, Redpine, human Amaranth (which I've somehow finally perfected), Time, Raiu, and Character
Offline
Tell me one thing
How does giving Amaranth pupils make him look OLDER? LIKE ACTUALLY HIS AGE?
Offline
I drew Amaranth to make him actually look like a teen and
oh my gods
Offline
Height charts are funny
Offline
Ariana is so tINY--
Offline
Hehe betcha Specter is holding that book upside down
For the last drawings, did you do them in pen? Because they're really good lol how do you have that skill
Also height chart :0
Offline
Yeah, those last ones are from my sketchbook. Idk how I have skill
Height chart :0
Offline
Wait the last ones are in pen? You must be very brave
I must say, amaranth with pupils tools way better. Every one in the last pictures look really good. You just reminded me that I need to keep it up and add pupils with everyone too

All hail the height chart :0

This is an unusual art, but it is still art
BEHOLD
CHIBI POLYMER CLAY INDIGO
Offline
YOOOOO THATS EPIC
Offline
I finally managed to get Photoshop downloaded on my computer, so I drew Indigo as a test run
Offline
I also learned some new lighting techniques for digital art lol
Offline
OWO
Offline
Oooh nice
I like the shading. That dark line between the skin and the shaded skin kinda looks weird though?
Offline
Nice indeed
But what I want to ask is that you have photoshop now though? The most epic, top of the line art program?
Offline
I would kinda have to agree with Specter. If I were you I would try blending the line more so it doesn't look as off
Overall it's very cute qhdhjsjdjs
Offline
Actually looking at it, I agree with the others, the skin shading looks a bit odd. However I think I know what you are trying to get at with that shading.
Maybe try having the dividing lines to be a more sharp and defined? Maybe thinner too? See how that looks? I wouldn't know tbh, but just a suggestion.

I think it might be too dark. Instead of making it dark, I would make the color more saturated instead of darker and then blend the line. This is just my opinion too but I think midtones work best when they're not too obvious at first sight.
The background looks neat too btw.

The lighting tutorial I was using for reference used that line. I believe he referred to it as "subsurface." It does look a bit off, and I think Specter's right, saturating it instead of darkening it would probably look better, especially since I was using cooler shading for her skin.
@Time about your question, my dad got me a one year subscription to the entire Adobe suite for my birthday, so it included Animate and Photoshop, Premiere Pro and some other stuff. With my current computer I've been unable to get more than Animate on it, so my dad found me an external drive I plug into my computer when I'm using Photoshop.

Oh my thought was to define the lines between light and dark more by making it less spray like and using a pen or something. But truthfully idk really a thing about shading and just shade where I feel like it. But I believe I'm familiar with the technique you are talking about
Oh yooo. That's epic. Not even just one but the whole pack. The only downside is that it's a subscription. It used to not be that way
