((Wdym this is Aurora bonding, she's just also angry all the time))
Offline
"What if they think the same about you?" Dilanne teased with a wink. She covered her lips for a short giggle.
Offline
"How could they? They could see observing humans and boat and whatnot." She huffs back.
Then she notices Dilanne giggle a bit, "Wait wait, are you laughing at ME!?"
Offline
"Not at you, at the idea!" Dilanne replied with a grin. "Why would I make fun of ya?"
Offline
Aurora just looks grumpy and grumbles to herself.

Raez was going to keep going just because he thinks that avoiding anger problems isn't really a good way to go about the situation, but since Aurora made a little effort he's letting her off the hook (haha, get it? Swordfish? Hook? lol). Kind of.
"Well, gotta say, a lot of intelligence standards are pre-defined by--guess whom? Humans," he points out. "Just because other creatures do not meet those standards doesn't mean that they aren't intelligent. Besides, it's not as if we can understand their languages at all. We usually just place them into a human context."
Yeah, so he's kinda bad at letting anything off the hook--
Offline
"Yeah, who knows? Maybe by swordfish standards, humans are the less intelligent ones. Hey, do y'all think a swordfish would enjoy a ride on this rollercoaster?"
Offline
"Whatever. You guys made your point." Aurora says as she turns around and heads for the entrance, "Let's just check this place out."
Offline
"Putting myself into a swordfish's shoes, or lack thereof, I can hardly imagine it'd be fun for them," Raez answers to Dilanne. He follows after Aurora after a while, though not before taking a hand to his forehead to block out what remains of the sun as he looks up at the ride again.
Offline
"Well, they don't need rollercoaster. Underwater currents might be enough for them."
Dilanne went behind the others, stepping in tip-toe as if she were walking on high-heeled shoes.
Offline
Well, onwards they go!
Of course they pass through the metal railings that helped organize a wait line, now pretty useless.
Aurora didn't mind just climbing and hopping over the railing to get to their desired destination of the carts.
Offline
"Yeah, they got much more intense currents going on than what we're about to go on, hopefully," he acknowledges, veering around the railings, which hopefully don't collapse while Aurora's perched on them.
Offline
"I dunno. A Rollercoaster that's been abandoned for a good while can be pretty intense. Who knows what is to come."
The railings creak, because they're old and rusted, but that's about it.
Offline
"Hopefully something good and exhilarating," he hopes aloud. He actually makes it around faster than Aurora somehow. By the way, he left the cart behind a few meters away from the railings, along with his backpack hanging off the side, too.
Offline
Dilanne jumped cleanly over the railing, not bothering to make the climb. "I've never been to an abandoned rollercoaster before, y'know! It must have its fair share of danger and adrenaline."
Offline
"I haven't either." Aurora admits, "Does anyone know how we could work the controls to the thing?"
Offline
"What about it, Dilanne?" inquires Raez. "From the question, I'm supposing she can't, at least not with experience."
Offline
(I'm wondering how they're going to get off the ride because in actual working rollercoasters there's supposed to be someone to stop the thing after some time)
"Well, it can't be that hard," she commented while checking around for the controls. "They might be labeled. And it's probably just a bunch of levers and buttons. Just gotta find the right one."

(They're going to jump, duh)
Offline
Well, after some travel they'll enter the area where they are to board the ride. They stand on a concrete platform that has worn away yellow paint, which was would have been instructions of where to stand and wait for the next row of carts to arrive. They also stand under a canopy to protect from the sun, although it's pretty rusted and much of the paint has flaked off now.
The controls to the ride in a corner of the platform. A simple metal box with only a few buttons. I'm sure you guys kinda know what they look like. You've seen them at amusement parks, right?
Luckily (Or unluckily), there's a cart at the boarding area.
Offline
Raez starts running before leaping into the cart, which makes a pretty awful grinding noise.
"Good start," he observes over the subsequent screech that follows afterwards.
Offline
"That sounds horrible." Aurora remarks as she approaches the control box.
Offline
Dilanne ran so she'd be slightly in front of Aurora. "Are you managing the controls? Wouldn't you like to leave that to me?"
Offline
"Uh, no. If you want to use them go ahead. But how will you get on?" Aurora asked
Offline
"Really? You wouldn't like that? Aww, well, I can go take a seat, no prob."
With that, the siren turned and hurried towards the cart. She climbed in. She didn't sit down yet.
Offline
"Do you have a plan on how you're going to get on?" Raez asks Aurora.
Offline
Aurora was about to clarify that she actually was just looking at the control box and didn't actually want to control it but decided to not. As it seemed too awkward and a hassle to do so by now.
"To be honest, don't know myself, I didn't really think of that." She answers, "Maybe I just jump on while it's going?"
Offline
He doesn't say anything for a few seconds, looking instead at the rails. Or whatever they're called.
"You'll have to be kind of fast, then," he concludes, looking back towards her. "'Else it'll accelerate and you'll be left in the dust. Or, on the platform."
Offline
"We get to see full speed Aurora, yeah!" Dilanne cheered as she finally settled down on the seat.
Offline
"Yeah yeah, I know." She waved off both of their remarks while staring at the control box. Due to some of the labels being worn, she just decided to hit a few buttons.
...
After a few moments, she says, "It's not working."
