Silence would use their shape shifting in a way that if their limb got cut off then they would grow two of that limb back just to mess with people
Offline
You know what tho? Silence would be the perfect model for Francis because they can shift into any body shape and wouldn't mind posing while Francis practices sketching or painting because they could talk while Francis does art

it's a doctor with a paper bag on his head
what else is there to describe
there's a single hole in the paper bag so he can see through it

He sounds cool, I will have to look him up later
I keep forgetting that Alma has puppies ahhxjsjdja

He's from a fighting game
I also forget things like that as well. Like how Time's right arm is a magic charcoal arm thing

Hdhwjcjwkf my only excuse if I mess up Silence's design in a drawing is that they're a shapeshifter so they technically don't have a consistent appearance

Okay but like, Ruin is just bwbfnsncjsk I can't express enough about how much I love him. He's not even nice XD, I just really like him for no reason other than he's interesting to me
Also his love for nature and his ability to talk to animals/attract animals amazes me
This also suddenly reminds me that multiple of my characters have fire-based powers, three of them don't even use it
The ones who use it are: Ruin, Apollo, Malaika (mainly to warm herself or light candles lmao mood), Persephone
The ones who don't are: Alois, Solaris, Silence
Lmao the three who don't use it are so good at just physical strength/shapeshifting alone that they just don't need to use it to win a fight. But to be fair Malaika usually doesn't fight so
Although I guess Malaika could win a fight without using hellfire tbh, she's surprisingly pretty strong physically (I mean, she's like, 6'3 iirc and she has abs lmao, maybe it throws me off a little because I view her as a generally peaceful and gentle person) and she is great at mind-related abilities like telekinesis, telepathy, ect, ect. She actually has a good set of abilities now that I think about it, tbh I forget that she has a lot of abilities
I need to write her abilities down
Offline
I remember she has a natural calming ability that works especially well with people younger than her (usually it works best with small children or people with a child's mentality aka people like Echo who are stuck with an eight-year-old's mentality due to trauma/age regression)
She can also create stuff from energy iirc, like hands and stuff. I feel like she uses this ability to do multiple things at once, like writing multiple stuff down on different sheets of paper
She could also possess someone's mind and dig through someone's mind/memories, but that requires a strong bond with that person and a lot of trust. So she can't really do anything with that unless you allow her to and are close friends with her
Adding on iirc she can enter the dreams of people/dream telepathy but that also requires a strong friendship bond
Malaika is just super cool uwu
I also don't talk enough about her friendship with Silence tbh, I need to talk more about those two hanging out together

Echo's age regression is a bit weird since she lost her memories, but I think it's because her brain itself formed badly due to trauma (I mean, she was raised by a Favian, she went through a lot, and the Game really messed her up), as well as her brain still technically has the memories, she just can't remember them or have an awareness that they are there.
It's almost like a dissociation type deal, except the dissociation was triggered by dying and the only way to unlock/bring the memories back is for Cassiel to figure out. Echo's coping mechanisms are still there, but she isn't aware she's dissociating (although it's not exactly even dissociating, it's just because she and Cassiel aren't merged so the memories fwoshed)
Idk how to explain it without using dissociation as an example. Like, it's like she's dissociating without actually her dissociating
So basically her brain is still using the coping mechanism (age regression) without her exactly remembering her trauma (similar to certain dissociations that involve memory gaps and amnesia)
Offline
I can't even remember the different types of dissociation other than dissociative identity and derealization
Apollo has derealization dissociation/maladaptive daydreaming in which his brain will force him daydream to escape reality/triggers
Like me, he sometimes will actually think his daydream is reality. I don't think he's ever experienced a panic attack from that happening (lucky)
Tbh it's similar to DID but also very different
I know way too much about dissociation wbhfjskfk

I don't think age regression counts as DID but I'm not certain, I will have to look into that. I can see how it would count because the person mentally goes back into a certain age, much similar of how someone with DID might have an child alter
With Echo tho her age regression is constant and she can't mentally age up, which I think is how age regression would be different from DID since with DID you would have different alters that could front rather than you yourself.
Adding on that the alters are their own person, and the body is a system, while with age regression (I think, I might be wrong) you are still yourself, you're just mentally younger.
I need to do more research, but DID is different people while age regression is still yourself but younger

Okay but why did thinking about Apollo's past trigger memories in my mind wjdnskkf, specifically being locked up in rooms, nwndmskf I do not have the time to deal with memories I was unaware I had
The bad thing about basing characters off of yourself or parts of yourself is that they could be potential triggers when it comes to backstories. Like, none of Apollo's backstory has happened to me except for being locked in rooms and somehow that made me upset huh
I'm lucky to be better off than Apollo tho, his past is uh. Yea.
I think I emotionally connect with Silence the most, especially their apathy because for a long time when I was younger I wasn't able to exactly "feel" when something bad happened to the point where Adult Person told me that I was lucky when my great grandma died because "I was used to it" (which caused a lot of mental/emotional problems when she told me that because I felt like then I wasn't allowed to express my pain from my great grandma dying, as well as a lot of self hatred because I actually didn't feel anything for a long time after that). As well as their sense of wanting to be a better person than they were in their past

Okay but Malaika would be a really relaxing person to Silence. Like, they would chill together listening to music. Silence sometimes likes to bother Malaika but Malaika knows it's in friendliness and goofiness. And Silence knows Malaika's pestering about manners is all good intention. So like, I think they would balance each other out. Silence helps Malaika loosen up while Malaika helps Silence with respect/etiquette
Although one day I can see Malaika snapping at someone and Silence being like "Bro this is not what you taught me to do, I'm kinda impressed that you can speak like that" while Malaika is like "Well they dESERVED IT-"
Malaika just looses her mind while Silence is like ":0 you can be rude?! You know how to yell?!"
Offline
I feel like Silence would absolutely not be okay if they heard Malaika curse XD kinda like their reaction to listening to some of Alma's songs he's written/sang
Offline
Alma's defense is that there is a difference between singing-cursing and cursing around a small child (Echo)
Alma is a strange man
Offline
And then there's Alois who doesn't give a heck, although he noticably curses less when Echo is around
I also have forgotten to explain housing and who lives with who. I've been meaning to for a long time
-Alma and Alois live in a large house near a city. Originally they both lived in a city in different apartments, but tbh that doesn't make sense considering their characters. Eventually Echo "moved in", and then after a long while Solaris joined after Echo summoned it. So Alma, Alois, Echo, and Solaris live in one house together. Before living with Alma and Alois, Echo lived in forests and alleyways, usually sleeping on the ground if she felt like it (because before the Oblivion death she didn't need to sleep). The other "residents" in the house are Echo's cat and kitten and Alma's two puppies. I will now be referring to the house as the Amor's house because it's a lot easier than naming everyone who lives there. Silence sometimes stays there
-Francis has his own apartment, shared with by his lovebird Mango and usually Silence
-Silence usually breaks into either Francis' apartment, Malaika's apartment, Apollo's/Ruin's apartment, or the Amor's house. Usually, 80% of the time, it's the Amor's house. They sleep on their couches, and do not own a house of their own. Sometimes they sleep on park benches and in abandoned areas
-Malaika has her own apartment, shared by no one except the occasional Silence.
-Apollo and Ruin live in the same apartment, Silence will sometimes break in (scaring the heck out of Apollo and earning a lecture from Ruin)
Offline
Alois being able to feel Alma's physical pain is interesting
Alois can be teleported to Alma, but only if Alma draws out Alois' specific summoning circle (somewhat similar to Ruin and Apollo, except Alois doesn't have a choice to be summoned or not). The ways Alma could draw it out would be with his blood, ink, or in the ground (sand, dirt). It just depends on the situation I guess
Alois can also sense/track Alma's presence/location which is cool
Okay but young Alma and Alois basically is
Alma, hugging Alois: "We are best friends now!"
Alois: *SCREAMING*

Age regression is a symptom of DID (as well as other dissociative disorders like PTSD), but is not DID itself
