"Oh, well, yeah, I guess," Time shrugs, seeming not to really react, to the joke, "So... I guess recently my sister woke up from a coma..."

R.I.P. Hitan's attempt.
Well, in any case, Time has Hitan's full attention. Strangely enough, not in too bad a way, his attention is kind of like a child's, the type who actually listens during a lecture. Very attentive, and also giving off a natural feel instead of his usual stiff, cordial attitudes.

Time shrugged, "She's woken up... but I've stupidly decided not to tell her about what exactly caused it."
((Well, at the time of this thread, he hasn't told her.))
Offline
"...ah. Are you thinking of an approach towards it...the cause, I mean?"
Offline
"What do you mean by that? As in telling her? Or seeing further actions towards why it happened?" He asked.
Offline
"Both." He seemed pleased Time could see what he meant, kind of.
Offline
((I am much confused on why I no get notifs oof))
"Well, I, of course, have to tell her, soon. It's no good leaving her in the dark." Time answered, "However, about what to do after this? I... I don't really know yet. We're going to at least set up some sort of precautions and stuff."
Offline
(Oof)
Hitan found the use of 'we' curious. Had Time already told the mages of the Clocktower, and one was going to join in with the explanations? He had honestly expected Time to explain to Chronos and then to the Clocktower mages separately.
"What is confusing you?" he asked lightly, then added, "In general terms." He didn't have any intentions to delve into the specifics when Time wasn't even comfortable with talking about specifics with his twin, or so it seemed.
Offline
'We' as in after he already told everyone. But his guess was correct, Time was thinking to tell Chronos first. Yeah.
"Confusing me? I don't believe I'm so confused, I just, probably need some time to think or something. I think."
Offline
Then, that is one weirdly structured sentence.
Well, in Hitan's opinion, even current Time seemed confused. "I see. Well, if I may offer any advice, don't overthink it. You know her best, so you at heart know how to handle the situation rightly. It's like," he smiled tentatively, "the advice with students to go with what they know on a test rather than their doubts afterwards unless those doubts are ascertained to be what they truly know."
Offline
How about I edit it to make it more clear, yeah?
"Mhm." Time nods, "I guess you are right about that."
Offline
Hitan noted the other's habit of uncertainty, but obviously didn't point it out verbally. "Glad to hear that."
Offline
"Yeah." Time shrugged, "I think... maybe we should get someone to help out with preventing something like this. Maybe someone outside of the clocktower."
Offline
"Do you mean a danger or similar situation to...what you were in?"
Offline
"I guess both. To stop any situations like what we're in, to safeguard other sorts of problems like that, and danger."
Offline
"Are your current mages not ample to deal with that sort of defense?" he questioned curiously.
Offline
"Maybe they are, maybe they're not." He said, "But I'm thinking of someone that specializes in protection."
Offline
"A bodyguard?"
Offline
"Not a bodyguard. Anyone can be a bodyguard. Maybe." Time said, "Maybe someone with knowledge of wards and other protection magic."
Offline
(When I know who you're referring to but knows the design is just going off on its own like a giant snowball going downhill: )
He smirked slightly. "It sounds as if you are to build a replica of what you expect them to be like."
Offline
((oops sorry for not responding))
Time shrugs, "Just saying what would be good." He said, " Though, of course the person who would be picked might be different."
Offline
"In my opinion, I would say it's likely," he pondered. "Though, if you don't mind, I am quite curious about the criteria by which you used to select your current mages, especially those residing here in your domain."
Offline
((Uh oh, I actually never thought about that lol))
"Well, it really depends. I would say." Time shrugged.
Offline
(Uh oh time to think)
Well, that wasn't really a solid answer, so he just nodded patiently.
Offline
((Bruhh))
"First, well, I think they should at least have a decent amount of magic ability or have some pretty good magic potential stored in them." Time answered, "But Chronos goes a bit differently, she likes picking people that are in need of help and shelter. She's kind like that."
Offline
The books did say Time sometimes tended to sound like a person-advertising campaign. Ah well.
"So, does she...just go to homeless shelters and orphanages?" Hitan sounded slightly incredulous. "Do you happen to tag along to just look at their potential or ability in magic according to your standards in the meantime?"
Offline
Oof, I guess unintentional yes.
"No. Not like that. I would think." Time replied, "We're still trying to figure it out. Yeah."
((Just like me and Eliza are doing irl))
Offline
"That makes sense." Personally Hitan would question why Time has, like, at least 6 mages (the ones who aren't NNCs [no-name characters], anyways) here when the criteria hasn't really been drafted, but he's much too polite to consider it thoroughly. If all is going well (as in no one has stabbed them in the back or gotten killed), what's his right to even consider the question? "Well...if I can ever come of aid for you, please let me know." He offered another small smile of his. "Magic-wise or anything else."
Kind of unnerving how he never truly smiles. Though, Time has never really been with Hitan all that much, right? So maybe it's not as unnerving.
Offline
Shhh. Maybe it's just so simplistic, idk.
But yeah, ig not so unnerving.
"Well, that's great to hear." He nods, "If you will come to my aid, I shall come to yours as well."
Offline
"It's not as much of a business deal as you make it sound," Hitan said, or started to, when he realized he was actually the one making it sound like a business deal. The intent had been that since Time had helped him so, he would give his help in return.
