Nah, once Alastar actually falls asleep nothing can wake him up, but he does get a hard time falling asleep though

Alastar knows how to cook only some things. For those 'some things' there's always heavy (but usually nonexistent) implications around it, e.g.
"Tonight we're having cauliflower. Eating it is s'posed to make someone more considerate"

For some reason I thought you were talking about my schoolmates' health because iirc once I was at a meeting with them last year and the other kids consumed an entire box of Swedish fish in less than 3 minutes, and now ig that'll be my impression of Briar and Alastar
