@Time - Organisms are living things, so if SARS-CoV-2 were an organism, it would have to have the capacity for being alive. In reality, it's neither an organism nor with the capability of being alive. Which is why one of the best pandemic jokes to me is the fact that humanity is literally being pwned by something that's essentially inanimate

The thing is that it might look like just a joke but it isn't just that they're making light of the vaccine, it's the format they're using for the "joke".
And it's actually worse if they aren't saying it as a joke

Personally, I respect even the people who think the vaccination is dangerous a little bit more because at least I can relate with wanting the best for myself and my family/friends and being uncertain and cautious. Of course, provided those people wear masks and follow public health guidelines. But those types of "jokes" irk me because there's a very big difference between endangering people by lying about being vaccinated and just having one's own gender identity, just for the fact that one puts others in danger and the other doesn't. To be honest, usually I can even see why people don't get the entire gender identity idea (that doesn't just pertain to transgender individuals), but there's no need to diss people who have different views about who they are, and there's absolutely no reason to compare the two in this case either. Not to mention, people who lie about being vaccinated are being fools who hurt themselves as well. Overall, I'm skeptical that all of the posts are jokes. If all of them are, then I can't say much other than that those who posted them have really bad senses for gauging the boundaries of humor, whether relating to public health or gender identity.
