Lol yes, that's what I was trying to remember xD. I knew I forgot to ask something.
So...what would be an ideal location?

Bruh.
Well, one with a forest. We love spooky forest scenes. Mostly it's because of Caster, though. The forest is probably on the outskirts. And I dunno if we're dealing with a city in an urban or suburban location.
Where Dion lives depends on his background. I don't actually know what the deal with his family is (lol for some reason that sounds so sassy to me) but maybe they have good residences. Or maybe they have good residences and then make Dion go rent an apartment while he's participating in the War idk.

Also we need to work out how the Masters will coordinate locations for Grail Wars, because we've implied there are many that happen in different places, unlike in F/SN where it happens in Fuyuki, where the families are.
It seems most of the participation, if not all, is coordinated, so yeah.
Btw, Ambryll is getting more development, so planning for them might have changed lol.

Well, an urban city would probably have more buildings and people, right? More places for stuff to happen? The pros of a suburban city would maybe be more open spaces for the Servants to be in and Idk I think it would make it easier to keep the whole thing a secret? Idk I'm not sure. I'm used to urban cities though lol.
Although this isn't like, a completely defined thing, I was thinking that they probably rented a house for Dion so he could be in the location. He's probably been there for a couple months? The thing is that he's by himself in the War's location. Idk though maybe they bought a house instead of renting it lol.

Perhaps the Grail manifests in different places? So, maybe it's a thing of someone finding a location and then notifying possible participants. Or maybe it's just known to some.

The thing about Fuyuki in F/SN too was that it had several locations for interesting things to happen (like, idk, the river, that temple thingy, a forest, and I think there's one more but I can't remember).

Urban areas aren't as likely to have forests.

The Grail doesn't manifest until the penultimate battle, so it can be made certain that it won't be stolen ~~lol Apocrypha~~. A possible case of it manifesting early, however, is to provide the Ruler with the ability to manifest when he didn't initially, which probably means crap is going down and it's not how it's supposed to go down

I don't care if it's urban or suburban tbh, since Fuyuki could probably be considered to be both
I feel like it's a matter of choice though, since for instance, without the forest, Caster (who's moral...for once. Wow, look at all the immoral casters in Fate anime) doesn't have a high chance of victory, so Sunny actually tried to choose terrain that would be beneficial there. I don't think the gods care where the wars are being held

Some of the Servants don't really need that much tactic, like Saber could charge right into the forest. Hopefully they don't though, that sounds scary, considering Sunny's camping there :-P. And Rider obviously does best in areas with open spaces (or else his class would be at a disadvantage), but he's fine just living with Nyoko for a bit. Hopefully Aereon reinforced her place so that Berserker can't destroy it unintentionally, and for Dion...well, maybe it's just the lab set-up, lol, but that's not completely beneficial to winning the Grail War

Helge is a foreigner to the country as a whole, but Ambryll's been there for a little bit.

Tbh in general just charging into another Servant's territory without an idea of what's going to be done isn't a good choice lol. My Servants also can work as needed, like, Lancer can go pretty much anywhere, and Assassin will do well as long as she isn't caught in an open area.

Both Yvonne and Aereon's families probably had an easy way to ensure housing (they probably already owned properties or something lol) so it might have just been a matter of moving. I'm not 100% sure.

Not sure if there's a huge body of water, but both Rider and Berserker could potentially benefit if so. Maybe Saber too, I'm not 100% sure about that, though.
Archer likes water but not swimming in it during a fight lol, that is not good terrain for him.

Lol the Gold Saints become irked when their helmets are knocked off, but Saber becomes serious and intent on fighting with their best efforts when their coffee cup is knocked over and the coffee spills. It's actually a feat because they can otherwise duel with coffee cup in hand without spilling any coffee. In an alternate universe of the AU with more Servant classes they're some variation of a Coffee Class Servant. ~~Joking btw, at least mostly joking.~~
