"Hah, thanks." He started away, though he did stop and say considerately, "It's probably because I care a bit more than he does."
Offline
"No kidding." Dion let out a puff of air.
Alright, where can the food be found? On the table? In the kitchen?
Offline
On the table! Rai kept a cover on it so it's still hot. Or maybe Raez did that, but honestly, someone like him seems more like a foil guy.
Offline
((how do you tell someone is a foil kind of person?))
Dion was more than happy to take a seat and uncover the food to see what it was.
Not that he would complain about what it was. He liked food in general.
Offline
(What, you don't have the superb skills of telling if someone is a foil person? Mh)
There's not really a name for the dish, but generally, it seems like something Rai'd make? Everything's stir-fried. He put some broccoli, long peas (dunno if that's what it's called but yes), and there's also sliced-up pork and beef alongside carrots and some cabbage. He also fried an egg and put it on top. All of that seasoned with some soy sauce (not too much, presumably Rai'd figured out how much salty Dion can take). The amount's probably around what Rai's evaluated to be Dion's fill, too, though it might not be accurate. And there's a cup of water nearby for Dion if it's too salty or whatever. It might be a bit hard to find though, Rai presumably tried to hide it so Wiley wouldn't find it and put anything except the hydrogen and oxygen that was supposed to be H2O into the drinking liquid.

((Mh indeed.))
((Also you made me hungry xD I like that kind of food))
Well, Rai must have some superb evaluation skills.
Dion looked upon the food with what would essentially be the equivalent of starry eyes. Yum! He eagerly grabbed his fork and began eating.
He didn't look for the cup, and therefore didn't find it.

At the point when Dion's halfway done with his meal, the front door clicks open, and from the narrator's immediate but possibly incorrect view of the hotel room layout, it closes and locks soon after and Rai himself strolls past Dion. Seeing how the other's busy eating, he mostly veers towards the refrigerator he designed with the bags in his hands.
Offline
"Oh, you went shopping?" Dion asked, making sure there was no food in his mouth while he talked. "Welcome back by the way."
Offline
"Thanks," Rai said, his usual smirk apparently on. Hopefully Dion had gotten more adjusted to it so it didn't look sinister or snarky. "Kinda. I got some fruits." He put some bags down, then set the rest on the table lightly. "Thought you might like them. Those two too. Unless they've left?" His look becomes slightly suspicious as he looks at the (very silent) kitchen.
Offline
Right. He had forgotten about the pair. And yeah, there was an unexpected silence.
"Idk, they're supposed to be in the kitchen."
Offline
"Actively ignoring bad feeling," Rai muttered.
Offline
"Just don't go there or something."
Offline
"Yep, that's what I mean by actively 'ignoring bad feeling'," replied Rai.
Offline
Dion shrugged. "This is great as always by the way." He took another bite.
Offline
A small smirk. "Thanks. Glad to hear it."
Rai seemed to be waiting for Dion to finish. Maybe to take the bowl and wash it. Maybe some other purpose.
Offline
He's not a slow eater, so it doesn't take long. Also he doesn't mind it if he's being watched.
Offline
The moment Dion has cleared the bowl, Rai nudges it to the side and then stared into the young man's eyes just to get the conversation mood going. He somehow managed to not make the gesture look as weird as the narrator is making it sound.
"Okay, so I wanted to let you know. They came over here--I mean they as in not Wiley and Raez--to tell me about a mission that apparently I'm being forced to participate in."
Offline
Dion doesn't like to be stared at like that, so he looked away quickly. But he did catch that Rai wanted to talk. And yes he's paying attention.
"A... mission? What kind of mission? And why are they forcing you?"
Offline
It's naturally weird to answer two questions like that, so Rai chooses to answer one. He smirked and said with enough sarcasm to make himself cringe, "Maybe I'm just too good."
Offline
((lol I wasn't aware Rai knew cringe))
"Too good at what?" Dion's a little bit skeptical.
Offline
"Shooting things? Infiltration? " he suggested.
Offline
"That kind of things? And what do they want you to do that for?" He propped up one arm on the table.
Offline
"My job," he suggested drily.
Offline
"Well, that's obvious. You said it before." Dion shrugged as if he didn't care, which wasn't true. "If that's all, then I have an unrelated question. But if there's more, continue."
Offline
"That's pretty much it. Or I just got distracted," he said.
Offline
Dion wished that Rai had been more specific in sharing the information, but he wasn't about to press for more either. So he just nodded. "You know a lot about tech stuff, right?" He asked just to make sure.
Offline
"More or less."
Offline
"Okay." He shrugged a little bit. "See, last night there was a strange problem with my personal clock. The numbers kept changing without an apparent reason."
Offline
"How is it now?" he asked curiously.
Offline
"I... haven't checked yet. And the screen brightness went weird too." Dion turned it on to see the time.
