"Oh yeah," Galaxian says, though he's kinda shoveling dirt onto the body now. He pauses for a moment to look up earnestly at Ark. "Thank you."
...uh, he apparently thought Ark was giving him a cue to remember to be polite. That's not what he meant, but okay.

"You're welcome." Ark helps to shovel dirt onto the body. "Is there anything about current events you'd like to discuss?"

He admits, "There are a lot of current events, so I dunno which one in particular to talk about. Do you have a preference?"

"Not really."

"I dunno," the deity, who really does suck at choosing, goes. "I guess...threats to the pantheon haven't been real prevalent? That's a good thing though."
He also sometimes sucks at being optimistic. Now is one such time. He thinks more.

"Yeah. A little boring though."

"Boring is good," offers the deity in terms of his opinion (and the narrator's opinion). "Means less tragedy or potential for things to go wrong."

"True."

Galaxian gives the older deity a glimpse of one of his possibly bad habits--being judgmental and imposing simultaneously. Actually, it's a literal glimpse--he's eying Ark warily, but at least this once, he doesn't press. "Do you have techniques to be less bored?" he asks instead.

"I take bounties and quests mostly." He starts fiddling with a soul rubix cube. "Killing monsters, fighting bad guys, that kinda stuff."

Hopefully "soul rubix cube" doesn't mean some kind of tiny person folded up into a cube, or Galaxian's stare is going to turn a whole lot more judgmental.
He manages a laugh. "Okay. I see. Paid? I mean, are you paid for all of it?"

"Yeah. I don't really use the money for anything though." The cube is not a person, don't worry.

Galaxian guesses, "Aiming to be a millionaire or something?"
Yay! Okay.

"No, I just don't need money."

"Oh, then maybe you could donate it," Galaxian advises(?). "That's what people with extra money do with it, right? They donate?"

"I could do that. Maybe I should look into it."

"I know a lot of good donation places. If you need help finding those, let me know!" Galaxian tells the other--helpfully, for once in this conversation.

"Thanks." Ark unsummons his cube. "So, whaddya wanna do now?"

"Probably get out of here," Galaxian states honestly with a wince. "I don't like graveyards."

"Ok. Anywhere specific you want to go?"

"Not really." Galaxian usually just goes wherever. "Do you? I don't know...maybe you wanted to eat something. Or something." Very decisive of him.

"Sure. Let's go find some food." Ark starts walking out of the cemetery.

Galaxian teleports out as far as he can without losing sight of Ark. The guy really doesn't like cemeteries. He shuffles his feet as he waits for the magic god.

Ark arrives and continues walking.

Galaxian follows the other like a puppy, though this puppy is very independent and hates to bite. That has nothing to do with the thread, though.
"From how you're walking, I'm guessing you might have a place in mind?" he inquires. "Or maybe you're just a really confident wanderer," the deity proceeds to guess, hopping along at a very fast pace for someone with such short legs.

"Just a confident wanderer."

"I can see where that comes from." Galaxian's just kind of glad that at least one of his guesses was right. He peers around at the surroundings.
Turns out this is kind of a nice place. That's to say, there aren't any 4-story mansions around, but it's a quaint little neighborhood on the other side of the road. The road's not too busy due to the time of day. But even so, it might take a bit for them to find a restaurant or some other place like that, since it isn't exactly a good marketing strategy to plop your restaurant next to a place of the dead.

"Hm." Ark looks around, attempting to find some sort of food building. There doesn't seem to be any, as far as he can tell. "Let's go check down the road. There might be some farther away from this place's aura."

"Yeah, I don't think humans like to establish eating places near graveyards," Galaxian agrees, skipping after the other. "But some do. It's the most famous graveyards, I think. Like, there was a pirate restaurant near a pirate grave place. It was interesting. But the pirate ghosts were still there and they weren't all that nice."

"That sounds fun." Ark thinks for a second. "Weird question, but do you eat things? You're not really a physical being, right? So how does that work?"
