I really like the section in the 9 block it just sounds so sharply ominous to me I love ita

I see what you mean xD It kinda spices up the piece. Maybe I could say it gives a bit of dynamism?
Oh okay, good inspiration source xD I know you're very fan of Undertale, so owo
Offline
I am a very fan of undertale owo
I had the prologue from Wind Waker stuck in my head and I had to get it out before I could do anything otherwise it would have sounded too much like it lol
Offline
Lol mood though
I guess maybe that's why I can't compose xD I'm afraid of making something that will sound a lot like a piece that already exists. And also I don't know how to compose lol I just play.

I think I got the basis of it done. I want to add some more chords bc chords tho

For your original song, can I say I really love block 15 :000
I mean all of it is nice (I think the second note in the first block sounds a bit too long tho but that's minor) but :0
Is that... is that the Outset Island theme or am I very wrong :0
Lol I didn't notice it looped when I was listening to it xD nice!
Hmm maybe I'm going deaf but I can't hear much difference between both versions of the song... Time to give them a relisten while paying more attention!

Block 15 I had to use my big brain to figure out how to do a realistic decresendo. Then I remembered that unlike with a violin when you can get quieter in the same bow stroke, with a plucked string instrument like harp you just play the next note quieter and quieter and that made it much easier xD
I feel proud of the leitmotifs that I used in it. 15-21 is that lullaby I posted on my homethread (once I send you lyrics it'll probably make a lot more sense why), one of the main themes. 23-27 particularly is the Great Dragon's theme, 10-13 has parts of Kieran's theme (one of the villains who is a Dark elf) whos leitmotif is used to represent most of the Dark elves.
Funny thing it turns out Kieran's theme sounds similar to Midna's theme from TLoZ: Twilight Princess (it was very unintentional, I think I've only really heard her theme once or twice lol). Midna is a Twili, who are Hylians who use dark magic or something like that so I just think it's funny qghjka

Also yes that is Outset Island I butchered the opening but I don't care.
The only thing I changed was I just turned all the presets to woodwinds because it sounds better than the questionable string presets lol
Offline
Oh noes I screwed it up

Here this should sound right now

Here's those lyrics I promised you;
"Sleep softly, child of light
Hear my voice, on through this night
Through dark shadows, stay within sight
Sleep gently, don't be afraid
Don't come to fear those who lost their way
I'll hold you safe in my arms
Till the dawn breaks
And shadows give 'way
Rest your head, I'll keep you warm
Even when they clouds start to storm."

Normally I wouldn't recommend watching a playthrough since there are just so many different ways to do it, but considering that you don't have any access whatsoever to a Switch...yeah.
Make sure it's a "complete story" or something like that, all Divine Beasts, memories, that sort of thing.
Also you need to watch a Tarrey Town quest and listen to the soundtrack.
I'm sorry it sounds like homework but you need to do it

I remember trying to make some new food (or just getting some random items like rock salt and monster parts) and throwing food into the pot in hopes of creating something and just getting dubious food xD

Yeahhhhh I don't think I'll ever get a switch lol
Ah dw my friend has given me directions on how to watch it so I'm r e a d y xD.
You have a Switch tho right? Must be fun xD
I just use computer lol it's hard to use the joystick-thingy function because you can't aim it, it goes completely towards the direction you try to point it in. Makes it a true challenge to use the mirror shield lol.

I do have a Switch, Breath of the Wild was the first game I bought with it. First Zelda game too and boy am I glad it was BoTW

I also have the Switch remake for Link's Awakening and I'm planning on buying Skyward Sword HD when it's released. I also heard that nintendo might port Twilight Princess HD and Wind Waker HD and I can only hope because I'm not sure I can go and buy a WiiU
I found one at GameStop once but that was like a year ago lol
Offline
Oh man that's cool! I bet you really enjoyed playing through BotW. It's more like an open-world adventure, right?
I've heard that Skyward Sword is a good game but idk I only know it from clips and the Wikipedia summary lol
Offline
It's pretty open-world but has a lot of story and side quests in it, which is probably why I loved it so much. Generally I'm not into games that have no real purpose but Zelda is different lol
The only complaint I really heard about Skyward Sword was the funky motion controls on the Wii lol
Did you know that Robin Williams (a now-deceased actor who voiced the Genie in Aladdin among other things) named his daughter Zelda after the game
