He tossed his arms up. "There you go again! Hurtful words!"

"How is that hurtful, exactly?" Kyle asked with wonder.
"He's just prideful."
Offline
"You've obviously never been around other people," Lyle said with a frown at Kyle. To Corinne, "I am not prideful!"
Offline
"Fine, whatever you say." She lightly raised her pale hands.
Kyle smirked. "There's obviously a reason for that as well."
Offline
His frown deepening, he resumed his crossed arm position, slouching in his chair. "I'm going to politely assume that's an insult to my company."
Offline
"For a first meeting, this is certainly an interesting reunion," Corinne pointed out. "Especially between you two."
Offline
"Puh-lease, you talk as if I had already known this dude."
Offline
"That's exactly why I find it interesting. You're acting in a very familiar way. As if you already knew each other."
Offline
"No way I knew this Mr. Literal before now!"
Offline
"Who are you calling Mr. Literal?" Kyle narrowed his eyes.
Offline
"The only one else at this table who is defined as a male," Lyle answered.

"Could you save the insults for later?" Corinne said. She had finished her meal a while ago, though she doubted either of her teammates had noticed.
Offline
"Define later."
Offline
"Later, as in, not now."
"She's kinda got a point." Kyle nodded in agreement with her. "What about we get going to see how we can get our first mission done?"
Offline
He shrugged. "Fine by me."
Offline
"Alright then. Come on." He stood up from the table, smiling.
Offline
Letting previous topics slide, Lyle also smiled, standing up and looking at Corinne.
Offline
Corinne nodded back, a small smile on her lips. She stood up as well. "And?"
"I already paid." Kyle adjusted his belt and checked his sword. "Everything's ready for us to go!"
Offline
"Let's go then!" Lyle turned and once he was sure it was clear, dashed out the door.
Offline
Kyle grinned at seeing his companion's enthusiasm. He also exited very quickly.
Corinne, on the other hand, sighed contentedly and walked out. But fast enough that she wouldn't get left behind.
Offline
Lyle was whooping around as he waited for the others, eager to get started.
Offline
"Okay, okay, chill a bit. It is exciting, but you don't need to act like that."
Corinne followed, arms crossed.
Offline
"Sorry but I kinda need to get my excited energy out in order to focus later!" he said a mile a minute.
Offline
"I'm just not going to question that."
Kyle nodded. "Alright. Then, follow me!"
Offline
"YippeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee......" Lyle took in a deep breath, then grinned. "Okay, I'm ready now," he said more calmly, following Kyle.
Offline
"My ears," Corinne joked, covering her ears as if the exclamation had hurt her.
Offline
"Whaaat?" he asked innocently, turning and walking backwards. "My voice too beautiful for your ears to handle?" he smirked.
Offline
She snickered. "More like the opposite, in fact."
Offline
"Really!" he exclaimed, looking offended. A bit too offended. "Such harsh words, don't you think, Michezzy?" he said to Kyle.

Kyle just stopped walking and looked half confused and half miffed. "What did you just call me? What in the world is a... michezzy...?"
