"Mhm," Hitan confirms with a nod of his head.
Offline
"Are you looking forward to having him in your class?" She asked, a little too keenly.
Offline
Hitan nods, shiny eyes and all, like a willing kindergartener whose parent is coming on a field trip as a chaperone.
...hmm, maybe that was too specific.

Apollo said, "Well, I suppose it's good you know him, then. I was getting a bit nervous reading the note." He still was because the implication of it was... interesting. He wondered if the class he would be teaching would be... hard to teach.
Calix read the next profile.
"Malaika Ange, the Ultimate Cultist."
The girl in the profile picture smiled slightly in the picture. The special note on her page read: "Do not let anyone bother her while she is praying, and do not mess with her shrines. She will eventually move shrines and/or alters after praying and worshipping. Do not leave alone in dark rooms."
Offline
Haha, good luck with the do-not-bother part. And the do-not-mess part. And probably, at some point...the do-not-leave-alone-in-dark-rooms part.
"Why not?" Iollan asks. "Ignoring how it sounds borderline illegal, is that supposed to connote that she's afraid of the dark or will try to summon demons?"
(This is an important question, please answer even if the characters don't know because I have a thread idea for the very distant future lol)
Offline
Calix said, "It... doesn't specify anywhere. I would like to assume that she is afraid of the dark." Actually, he's hoping she's afraid of the dark and wouldn't summon a demon.
(She would try to summon demons, ancient spirits, deities, and would perform dark rituals. As well, she would somewhat become "possessed" if in the dark for more than thirty minutes. (: I love my cultist daughter)
(@Spec- The reason she becomes possessed is similar to why Toko has a double personality disorder ;))
Apollo said, "Okay, so should we prepare ourselves with candles in case the electricity goes out?"
Offline
(Ok that's what I thought lol, I'll go note the thread idea somewhere and forget about it)
Offline
"I'll make sure to bring a stock of candles to have ready and at hand," offered Germaine. Thoughtfully, she added, "Maybe it would also be a good idea to find out if she has a schedule for her praying times so they will not interrupt the class time."
Offline
Calix nodded and wrote down a note.
Calix read the next profile. "Nivia Alouette, the Ultimate Ice Skater. Oh, I heard of this one! She's the Olympic winner for ice skating."
The young girl in the picture looked scared as she stared at the camera, a bit sad as well as she looked near-tears. She seemed tired.
Calix paused before reading the special note aloud, a soft, "Oh..." being made.
"I'm... I'm not sure if I should read this aloud."
Apollo looked over Calix's shoulder, his eyebrows furrowing a bit when he read the note.
Apollo said quietly, "...Pass the profile around. This is... a touchy subject."
The special note read: "Do not bring up Nivia's parents as a topic. She must be sent immediately to the nurse if she shows signs of withdrawals, and is to be sent to the nurse in her first hour, fourth hour, last five minutes of lunch, fifth hour, and at the end of school. The Ultimate Actor is to escort her during those scheduled times, and tardies due to Nivia's condition are to be excused. Any topic about needles and drugs are to be avoided. If these topics are part of a health-related education, she is to leave the room and go to the office. Contact police immediately if Nivia's parents try to enter the school or are seen attempting to contact Nivia."
Offline
"I'll be sure to give her an opt-out form for my class," Iollan says. "If she's somehow assigned to be in the class during first, fourth, or fifth, that would actually work quite well. She would miss less class. Tardies of all sorts are basically excused here, though, as long as the student is on premises," the athlete recalls. "Thus...that should not be an issue. Finally, I'm presuming the last notes are likely for security."
"What if Alma is gone, though?" Hitan asks with all innocent and good intentions that don't comprise of him wanting to sound like a second grader.
Offline
"Alma isn't the Ultimate Actor, if I recall correctly," Calix said. "Let me look..."
He pulled out a profile.
"Silence, the Ultimate Actor. Their profile..."
The name section had only the word "Silence". Their picture was there, though, and showed a teenager flipping off the camera with an arrogant smirk.
Their profile was mostly blank, except for the special notes:
"Is to escort Nivia to the nurse. Nivia has shown a fondness to Silence, do not let them be separated for longer than an hour."
Apollo spoke up, his eyes going starry, "Oh! I've seen them before! They've been getting really popular on social media! Not a lot is known about them, though."
Calix said, thinking, "I wonder if their talent will get in the way of being around Nivia. If they're gone... I suppose I will have to talk to the office and see what we should do. I assume someone else could fill in to escort Nivia, like a teacher, but I'm concerned of what will happen if Silence is gone much longer than Nivia can handle. Especially with their classes. I'm assuming that their schedules perhaps were coordinated so that they aren't separated, though."
Offline
Hitan doesn't keep up with social media. He's like, Huh, what is social media for five seconds.
"To be honest, I'm concerned more with Silence's career outside of school than their classes," Iollan says. "That's not something I should be worrying about, I guess. Can't help it, though."
Offline
Germaine isn't active on social media either. Since she also doesn't 'go to the movies', she couldn't remember if there was a famous actor named Silence.
"These special notes are going to be important to keep in mind," Germaine stated. "And Silence really sounds like a good person."
Offline
Apollo nodded, "From what I heard, they are. They seem a little rough around the edges, though, but are generally a good person."
Calix was nodding taking some notes before the next profile.
He read, "Sollux Meep, the Ultimate Model."
Offline
Perhaps the face of the Ultimate Model was somewhat familiar to the teachers. After all, she had become quite an image lately, although that was just her appearance. She's not someone who was really known for her personality.
In her picture, she smiled in a very professional way.
There were no extra notes for her.
Offline
Hitan is almost completely disengaged from popular culture. He does not recognize Sollux save for the profile skim he did before.
Iollan recognizes her to an extent, but only 'cause some places he bought clothing from had her as a model in the women's section.
Offline
"I've seen her somewhere before," Germaine commented. "I suppose it shouldn't be surprising, since the class has some remarkable members."
Offline
Apollo nodded, "I've seen her on fashion magazines. She's getting really popular."
Offline
"Ohhhhhh. Well, now that you mention it, that does sound correct."
Offline
Hitan might be a bookworm, but note the use of the word "book." He reads online articles sometimes, sure, but not fashion magazines. Honestly, haha, R.I.P. him. So he's just standing there looking innocently perplexed while trying not to look confused simultaneously.
Offline
Calixed moved onto the next profile.
"Specter de las Ánimas, the Ultimate Medium."
Offline
Nothing is gonna help Hitan get less perplexed. He might as well have swirls for his eyes at this point.
Iollan can't hold in a laugh for that Ultimate title. He doesn't even try in the first place, actually.
Offline
Germaine tilted her head in amusement. "That name is an incredible coincidence."
The notes section for this profile was a bit longer than in others.
Well, a summary of important stuff!
The first paragraph stated that the medium's spirit contact rate was "reported to be high". Apparently, séances and similar activities (depending on Specter's mood) were not to be allowed if "the circumstances are not optimal" in order to avoid "unpleasant and complicated results". Huh...
Another note mentioned to also avoid pressing Specter for use of their talent. In fact, requests for this should be kept at minimum or simply not be done at all. "Avoid abuse of requests for the student's talent to be used."
On a lighter note, the next line reads that Specter's reading and writing level is very basic. It seems they're almost illiterate (yet somehow fluent in two languages).
Maybe the most concerning part of the notes was the last group of sentences. "Hallucinations are not uncommon for this student. They may talk to 'ghosts' and nonexistent people. While these do not seem to cause dangerous behavior, it may be a hindrance during classes and activities. Please try to keep the student's attention and mind focused on real happenings as much as possible."
Offline
The narrator is waiting for Echo to POV 'cause the profile thing seems like something they would narrate in context.
Offline
Calix nodded while jotting some notes. "Although this is obvious, we must keep close eyes on our students. Hmm, although I am worried of what to do when Specter hallucinates."
Offline
"It honestly sounds like a lot of work," Iollan ponders. For Specter, he adds, "I wonder if running ten miles per day would get 'em to focus on the present..."
Offline
((I wonder that too...))
"I guess as long as we can have their attention, everything should be fine," Germaine said as she began to play with one of braids again. "But yes, I agree that it sounds rather complicated... though it's nothing that we can't handle, right? Otherwise we wouldn't have been assigned as teachers!"
Offline
Apollo sweat dropped at the idea of running ten miles a day, but nodded, "Yep!"
"I'm sure we'll do fine," Calix agreed.
He read the next profile.
"Sunshine Meep, the Ultimate Environmentalist. "
Offline
Well, that's a profile picture of someone who...surprisingly, doesn't look ticked off. He doesn't look happy, either, though. He kinda just looks dead inside. He gives jaded old man vibes.
Special notes: "Will attack anyone who denies global warming, but global warming is just a start.
He is to be kept away from another student. You can find out for yourself who that other student is, as it is painfully obvious."
Offline
"By those notes... should I understand that this is a dangerous student...?"
