"Because me and Lianhuan thought it to be a good idea to bring them here!" Cuthwolf stands up on the table and points to the sky triumphantly, "A great present for everyone in the Clocktower!"
Heaven heard this and immediately turned around, "Oh, so you're also involved with this too?" She asked in a very gentle tone, yet somehow it was very intimidating.
"U-uh..." Cuthwolf suddenly lowered his arm and shrunk a bit.

"I would like to cancel all further subscriptions to presents from you and Lianhuan." Jenny said, raising her hand.

Yvonne looked thoughtful for a moment.
"fried duck tastes really good. so thoughful of you, cuthwolf..." She almost laughed. "just kidding, I think."

Cuthwolf decided to ignore Jenny and Heaven's remarks, however, he did respond to Yvonne "Uhm, yeah! Exactly! Duck does taste pretty good."
Heaven shakes her head to Jenny, "A punishment may be possible, but for now, we should focus on this problem at hand."

"They're not a PROBLEM!" Lianhuan shouts, and somehow, his voice makes it all the way back to the library. Some of the ducks squawk in alarm.
Offline
Heaven is wondering how even Lianhuan could hear what they were talking about too, but other than that, she mostly ignores the call.
"So, any ideas?"

(Okay so I'm putting Lianhuan and co. in the hallways and stuff to see if I can lure Time/Chronos out xD)
Offline
Chronos was actually at the end of the hallway. Some ducks had found her and she had set one into her lap and was petting it.
Offline
"we probably want to round up all the ducks in one place to control them well...?" Yvonne shrugged. "otherwise they're gonna overrun the whole tower and we won't know where they are."
Offline
((oh yeah I forgot Time lives here))
Time went quickly out of his office and down the stairs or whatnot to investigate the noise. He found Chronos down in the hallway and approached her.
"What is the meaning of this? What's all that noise and yelling?" He called out sternly. However it wasn't directed towards Chronos who was beside him, it was more just calling out to see if anyone would respond.
Heaven nodded. "It is a good idea. I would say we should most likely a start containing them here, since this is where it seems they appeared." She places her thumb to her chin, "Though the library is on the more important side of resources the Clocktower has. It would be very problematic is something were to go wrong while gathering the ducks."

"guess I should start by protecting the books, then," suggested Yvonne. "I'll,,, cast a spell."

Heaven nods, "Good idea."

Is petting a wild duck safe?
...actually, the narrator just remembered Lianhuan spent a bunch of time dragging ducks out of river water. You know what? Never mind.
Funnily enough, as soon as Time's last syllable drops, Lianhuan charges past him like a malfunctioning bulldozer. The ducks fly right over Time's head the instant after that too. Seems like the Chinese boy somehow managed to overtake them.
Offline
"hEY!" Time yelled out at Lianhuan, stepping in front of Chronos to shield her from the duck wave, "No running in the halls! Come back!" He was quick to put two and two together.
Offline
Unfortunately, Time's instincts were a little bit off because, comically, the duck "wave" (group) just flew right past him, never to have flown into Chronos. It's like one of those animation comedy scenes. At least his intentions were sweet.
"You never said that rule before, Mr. Time! So, it doesn't count!" Lianhuan protests without even looking over his shoulder.
Offline
"Well, then... Still come back here!"
Offline
"poke me if I doze off," Yvonne told Heaven with seriousness.
That said, the mage turned her back to the other and held her hands out. She closed her eyes in that position.
Offline
Heaven nods.

Lianhuan screeches into a halt, still comically. The ducks around him flap their wings and squawk in bemusement as they also try to stop and not land in his hair.
"How can we be of your service, Sir Time?" the Chinese boy asks, nearly messing up the sentence 5 times with all his giggling.

Yvonne began her process of crafting a spell on the spot, as she hadn't prepared one earlier. Well, probably nobody expected to have a horde of ducks appear inside the Clocktower.
The spell would be limited to protecting the books and shelves and the floor. And maybe make them easier to clean. Should a duckproof property be added? Maybe that was too specific.
Offline
Time motioned at all the ducks around Lianhuan, "What's the meaning? Of all those ducks?" He sternly questioned.
Heaven was closely watching Yvonne
Cuthwolf was chillin' on the table.
Offline
"Duckies," Lianhuan answers helpfully. "That's what Cuthwolf said they were!"
Reminder that he's not a native speaker.
Offline
Time sighed and tried to reiterate his question, "Why are the ducks here?"
Offline
"Because they're friends!" Lianhuan answers, still very helpfully. The reason comes down to him not seeing any reason why they shouldn't be here.

With Heaven watching, Yvonne moved her fingers quickly enough to 'weave' a flowery symbol onto the air in front of her just in the blink of an eye. Yvonne herself still had her eyes closed.
Her magic, sparkly and purple, just like her eyes, dripped down from the symbol and down to the floor. It spread from there to cover the floor and shelves in a thin layer of glossy cover.
It's translucent and would be almost invisible if not for the purple sheen running through it in intervals.
Offline
"They are not friends Lianhuan, they are ducks from wherever you got them. You should return them." Time sternly said.
"Is that all?" Heaven asked Yvonne.
Offline
No reply. If this were a cartoon, Yvonne would have a line of 'zzz' drifting from her head, since she just fell asleep standing up.
