"Ah I see..." Marsh finishes the rest of their coffee, standing up they move to throw away their now empty cup "welp, great talk, I think I'll go now. There's a few things I still need to do."

"Need to do? Like what?" Time said, swiveling past his chair to stand up as well.

Marsh debated whether they should tell Time the truth or not, until they made a compromise with themselves and told half of the truth, "I need to go get some flowers from the florist just down the street." was all they said. Marsh exited the coffee shop and waited outside for Time to follow, just today, I'll indulge just for one day.

"For who?" Time asked, as he stood up and followed after Marsh, being sure to grab his coffee. To be honest, he was a bit surprised that Marsh was waiting for him.

Marsh began walking, stuffing their hands in their pockets in order to keep them from unnecessarily fidgeting. "An old friend..." they sounded a bit sad, perhaps even unsure.

Time leaned back a bit, "Ah. Ok then." Time said, quickly assuming 'old friend' roughly translated to "A dead person I cared about." in deity. He finished the rest of his coffee and tossing it in a nearby trashcan as they walked past it.

The flower shop wasn't far away so they make it there quite quickly, bells chimed as Marsh entered the shop and the shopkeeper looked up "Oh, it's you." She said upon spotting Marsh. The deity just nodded in acknowledgement.

Time followed Marsh through the door.
"You know each other? How often do they come around?" Time asked, motioning over to Marsh with a nod.

"I don't know them well but they do come around quite regularly, not often but regularly. Every few months or so. Are you two friends? They're in need of a good friend I believe-" The shop keeper was cut off by Marsh, loudly clearing their throat "Do you have any forget-me-nots in the back?" "Oh uh, I can go check. Would you like a bouquet of them?" Marsh just nods and the shop keeper disappeared behind a door that presumably led to the back.

"She's right, you know." Time told Marsh, stuffing his gloved hands into his coat's pockets, "You are socially reclusive."

"I can live however I want thank you very much." Marsh replied with and edge to their voice. The shop keeper returned pretty quickly, handing Marsh a bouquet of Forget-Me-Nots and Poppies, "You always got both so I figured this time I'll just get you a bouquet of both, I hope you don't mind." She explained with a smile. Marsh quietly thanked her and paid for the flowers.

"...Fair enough." Time nods, then looks to the flowers, "Nice flowers. I think my sis would like the blue ones."

"Sister?" Marsh, who has never really had a sibling figure in their entire life, questioned. Perhaps Rayden counted? Ah let's not think about him today.

"Her name's Chronos. Isn't it odd that we both have time-related names?" He said, looking into the Forget-Me-Nots, "We're twins, and it's almost... unbelievable that have been both granted deityship. Do you know how rare that is? To be a deity in the first place, but then have your sister become one as well?"

Marsh just nodded even though they had absolutely no idea how rare that is. They pull the bouquet away from Time almost defensively, a habit, as they walked out of the shop.

Time nodded and thanked the florist before turning and exiting after Marsh.

"So how long are you going to follow me?" Marsh asked. They walked around as if they've already memorized the path to wherever they were going.

"Hmmm... maybe long enough for me to get to know you a bit." Time shrugged, "I want to see your friend."

Marsh just sighed "Why do you want to get to know me? Do you do this to every deity you meet??"

"Yes." Time nods, "Usually, A few others would be following you. You're lucky."

"Such a nuisance." Marsh muttered under their breath, walking a bit faster.

I didn't need to go through that because I was one of the first narrated deities Time thought... wait what? (Yes this is a joke yes)
"See it as a way that you're now going to run into more and more deities." Time explained, "How's your combat prowess?" He then asked.

"Why'd you ask? I doubt I'll get into any fights but I can hold my own pretty well I suppose, a scythe is a bit awkward to use but like I said, I doubt I'll get into any fights." Marsh replied. They were coming up to a gated piece of property and upon closer inspection the place looked liked a park but littered with tombstones, ah yes of course it's a graveyard.

Ah yes, Time's theory was correct.
"I ask because a good chunk of deities are actually mentally unstable." He snorted with a little snicker, "Fights break out from time to time."

"I have legs, and I have common sense, I know how to run when I need to." Marsh said matter-of-factly, stepping into the graveyard.

"Mhm." Time nodded, stepping after them.

"...I suppose this is where we say goodbye? I'm not sure you can uhhhh travel through different graveyards like me so...till we meet again?" Marsh said hesitantly, they sucked at goodbyes.

"Oh, you travel through graveyards?" Time asked, "That's your mode of transportation?"

"if you think of it like that..." Marsh fidgeted, somewhere between wanting to leave and wanting to stay.

"Is your friend in this one?" Time motioned to the graveyard, "You frequent at that flower shop."
