Lyle tilted his head, a bit confused at seeing the milk. He nudged Corinne with his elbow and motioned to the young man--who was just around his own age.
Offline
She nodded back. "Probably our best shot for now. Let's go."
Offline
Lyle walked up with a grin. "Hey! Kyle Milchez, right? Nice to meet you, teammate!"
...That's not how you are supposed to do it, Lyle.
Offline
Corinne very nearly facepalmed.
Luckily for Lyle, he wasn't wrong (this time) and avoided an otherwise awkward situation.
The black-haired guy started a little at hearing his name called out just like that. Setting his glass back on the table, he turned and looked at the pair for a moment. "Well... yes, I'm Kyle. I take it you're Lyle and Marie?"
"Just Corinne will do, but yes."
Offline
His grin widened. "Yeppers! Heya, twin!"
Offline
"We're... not... twins...?"
"It's good to find our teammate," Corinne started. "Would you happen to know our assignment? Our first mission, I mean. We weren't able to check it."
Offline
"Well, duh," Lyle stated matter-of-factly. "But our names say otherwise."
Offline
"Similar names don't mean we're twins. Just a lack of originality from your part," he teased with a slight smirk and finished up his milk. "So, now that you're here, can I treat you to anything? It'd be lonely to have dinner by myself when I have just met my teammates."

"Sure!" Lyle said, plopping down onto a chair while ignoring a "hurt" from the tease. "I'm starving! Assignment Day got me too excited to eat anything."
Offline
"I don't mind," Corinne said while carefully taking a seat on the last remaining chair at the table. Convenient. She wondered how she would get along with Kyle and Lyle. The names were so similar. She shook her head. It was already getting confusing.
"It's good to see your enthusiasm!" Kyle turned to order dinner, since a waitress of sorts had gotten near.
Offline
"Can't help it!" he said.
Offline
"I'd say ours is a noble job when done correctly," he said with a grin.
Corinne put up an elbow on the table and rested her chin on her hand.
Offline
"Oh good, I can't wait!" Lyle glanced over at Corinne and suddenly noticed how pretty she was.
Offline
Took ya a while there, Lyle.
She was waiting for an answer to her question, but decided to ask again later when she got none.
Kyle wasn't focused on either of his teammates, instead looking around to see if his order was already on its way. "Of course," he said, rather absentmindedly. "Though don't expect to get complex assignments at first."
Offline
Lyle snapped out from his trance and pouted. "Aww man."
Offline
"That's the learning process. If we got a difficult mission we'd be more likely to mess up if we're just starting," Cori pointed out and shifted her face to her other hand.shifter
Kyle almost laughed, though not unkindly. "That's a way to put it. But where's the confidence there? A little doesn't hurt. Anyways, it'll take a bit to get used to a team. I've only worked alone before."
Offline
Lyle shrugged. "I'm used to being a single target but it shouldn't be too hard for me to adjust to teammates."
Offline
"So you have been on solo missions. Impressive."
Kyle just kinda stared at Lyle. "Target?"
Offline
Lyle waved it off carelessly. "Not important since it's in the past. And assassins have no past," he smirked.
Offline
"Heh, that's a good way of thinking." Kyle was pleased.
Corinne watched as the waitress woman set down three wooden plates with their respective utensils.
Seems like some sort of potato and meat stew is for dinner tonight.
Offline
Lyle smelled the stew, rubbing his hands together with glee. "Oooh, smells good!"
Offline
"And it will taste even better when you eat. This place has great food." Kyle mentioned happily.
Corinne spread her napkin on her lap before eating.
Offline
Lyle needed no second telling and was already eating it heartily.

It's freshly cooked. And hot too!
Kyle also began eating, more than glad to do so.
Corinne was the personification of good manners. Maybe she just wants to give a good ffirst impression.
Offline
As if Lyle cared.
"OOOH!!! HOT HOT HOT!!"
Okay, now he did.
Offline
Both of his teammates found it amusing, even if their reactions varied in intensity.
"Do you want water?" Kyle asked.
Offline
He shook his head, his ears red. "N-no no, I'm fine!"
Offline
Corinne noticed that and held in a chuckle.
"Well, if you say so." Kyle shrugged and returned to his own food.
Offline
Lyle gave Corinne an indignant look though it was probably funny because of his bright red ears. "It's not funny."

"You'll need to be a little more careful if you're going to be a successful assassin," she mentioned while shaking her head in feigned disappointment. "Imagine. An assassin defeated by hot stew."
