"So, where do I put this?" Dion waved his empty food container at Rai.
Offline
"Hmmm...maybe put that in the plastic bag for now. I'll carry it for a bit to see how Wiley takes care of trash."
Offline
"Okay. Here, take it."
Offline
"Thanks," Rai tells Dion as he takes the...the garbage, yes. He then puts his gloves back on. To be honest, it probably wasn't even noticeable when he took them off, but taking them off while eating probably made sense.
Offline
Dion just stared at Rai while sitting.
He really didn't know what to do next.
Offline
Thankfully, Rai doesn't stare back. He just finishes his putting-on-gloves action and checks the table for anything he might have accidentally left there. He's a neat eater, though, without rice or anything left on the table.
Offline
((What happens now? Not sure of what to narrate lol I'm really sorry))
Dion blinked. Yeah, he didn't feel like helping or even trying to offer his help.
Offline
Rai's not surprised and never really expected any aid. "Want to stay here while I go contact Wiley?" he questions.
Offline
"Uh, sure," replied Dion. "I guess I'll just wait."

"Okay, see you in a bit." Rai's gone as soon as the sentence is finished. No footsteps, unlike what his footwear would imply. No further noise.
To be honest, he's gone like a shadow. But somehow, there still is something human to him. His presence, maybe? Because as soon as Rai is gone, the place feels pretty empty.
The lab is a really lonely place. Maybe it makes sense for Wiley to be a bit strange and out of it. Imagine how many years he must have spent in this lab and many others just like it--pale monochrome places with no presence other that of his own.

Now, to wait.
Dion slumped back in his chair. He crossed his arms and his face regained its natural blank/bored expression. He could be there by himself just fine, he told himself.
A few moments later he shifted his position. Then he sat straighter.
Even though Dion would've said he liked being by himself, at the moment he couldn't shake off a light feeling of uneasiness. There was something missing in the room, and he didn't want to be alone.
Was this just for once? Well, at times he did desire company. Not that he'd say it, but...
No no, he was probably overthinking it. Dion once again moved in his seat and looked around with a slight frown.

Thankfully, there are no ghosts or anything to go wrong at the moment. Well, maybe Dion won't appreciate this, but what can the narrator do? They suck at setting POVs.
"Oh, did I miss him?" a voice comes from the left of the doorway. A very familiar voice, too.
Wiley pokes his head into the now-closed door. Literally.
Wow, Rai closes doors silently, too. But anyways, it's open again because Wiley just opened it with his ultra-hard head, hopefully also with the use of his hands.

The slight frown turned into a deep frown.
"Yeah, you did."
Then Dion thought that not replying might have been a better idea. He just tried to make himself look as cross as possible. As if that'd work.
Offline
Wiley feeds off crossness. He was actually about to follow Rai, but due to Dion's expression, he decides to stay a little longer to annoy the teenager a bit more. "Which way'd he go?"
Wow, he's not even letting Dion get off easy with a close-ended question.
Offline
Dion pointed to the direction Rai had left in. "There. Maybe if you go quickly you can catch up."
He's telling him to go away?
Offline
"Nah. He'll come back in a full circle. Walking's too much work." Wiley invites himself into the room and sits down in a chair with a small huff.
Offline
Well, he isn't going to say out loud that he agreed. Dion instead turned his head to the opposite side Wiley was sitting.
Offline
"Good to know that you agree." Wiley finishes whatever slinging motion he was performing and sinks into the chair like it's a sandbag.
Offline
That got a reaction. "I never said I agreed!" Dion said emphatically, turning his face the other way now. That means he's now looking at Wiley.
Offline
"But you do, don't cha?" Wiley has his eyes closed as if in some very strange meditation. He's leaning back, though, so his hair isn't falling over his eyes. He's still smirking in Wiley fashion, though.
Offline
"It's none of your business!" Dion made sure to cross his arms tightly.
Offline
"Okay, so, 'YES,'" Wiley interprets without even opening his eyes. He stretches like a long, lazy cat.
Offline
"You know, whatever."
On the other hand, Dion seems to shrink more tightly into his position. He even considered bringing his feet up.
Offline
(Lol is Wiley that scary Dion is acting like a mouse)
Wiley yawns. "Yeah, yeah. Sure. Whatever."
But not even five seconds passes before his eyes shoot open again. "Oh shoot! Forgot the projector!" he practically shouts.
What the heck? A projector? Does he want to do a PowerPoint presentation or something?
Offline
((Nah, he's just trying to look angry.))
Dion's face switched to a curious expression for a second right before turning serious again.
Offline
"Run, Wiley! Run!" he continues as he scrambles up and lunges out of the room.
...okay.
Offline
Yes, run, thought Dion. Maybe now he appreciated the loneliness in the room.
He straightened in his chair just to slide down a bit again.
Offline
Too bad for Dion. Wiley isn't even out of the room for 5 seconds before he's back again, just lugging a cart.
"Haha, managed to forget to bring it in," he laughs before jumping back into his chair, leaving the cart to slide across the room.
Offline
This time he didn't say anything. Maybe a conversation could be avoided that way.
Offline
It actually looks like Wiley fell asleep the moment he hit the chair. Impressive.
The cart's still going along though, making click-clack noises as it rolls across the floor.
