He shrugged and fell in step with her. "Okay. Oh...what was our assignment? I didn't see it because I was too excited."
Offline
She stopped her walk abruptly. "Now that you mention it... I forgot to check it as well." But she wasn't going back through all the trouble just to see. "Maybe the other Lyle will know?"
Offline
He blinked at her, not understanding what she meant for a second. "Oh Kyle, yeah...but how do we find him? Do you think he even knows we're his teammates?"
Offline
"Er... I hope so? Maybe we should ask Fallon about it, if she has time that is."
Offline
"Well let's catch up with her before she becomes having no time!" He dashed the other way where Fallon had left, weaving his way around the assassins.
Offline
"Geez, you're energetic."
She sprinted behind him.
Offline
"I was always told I had too much energy for my own good, whatever that means," he called back, running into Fallon's back.
"Oof!" Fallon turned around and raised her eyebrows. "Yes?"
Offline
Corinne gasped at Lyle's action.
"Excuse him, ma'am," she hurried to say. "We were wondering where we can find our other teammate. Kyle M...ilchez. He doesn't seem to be around.
Offline
Ma'am. Huh. Not really used to hear Fallon being called by that.
She lifted her chin up knowingly. "Ahh...that's because he's already out." She wrote something on a piece of paper and handed it to Corinne. "You can probably find him here mostly likely."
Offline
Gingerly, she took the paper and read it quickly. "Thanks! Apologies for taking your time. Have a nice day." Corinne took Lyle's arm and started leading him away.
Offline
"Whoops!--Yeah, thanks!" Lyle called back as he stumbled to find his footing from being dragged.
Fallon smiled as she watched them. "Any time."
"Do you even know where we're going?" he asked.

"Mhm, it says the place on this paper," she noted. "It's an inn not far from here. I know the way. Want to race?" She looked at him with a mischievous smile.
Offline
He mirrored her smile with a grin. "You're on."
Offline
She handed the paper to him and started dashing away. She's not too fast, but yeah.
Offline
Shoving the paper in his pocket, Lyle dashed after her, slightly faster despite his shorter height, and almost ran into a tree as he ran out of the tunnels.
Offline
Corinne briefly looked mildly concerned, yet she didn't let that distract her and continued on her way.
Offline
"You put that tree there on purpose!" he accused, knowing full well she didn't but wanted an excuse for almost running into it.
Offline
"Psh," she scoffed softly, almost in a joking manner. "We're almost onto the final stretch. Think you can make it? Maybe I should put another tree in your path so I can win."
Offline
"I won't let you!" he said as he ran slightly a step ahead of her.
Offline
Endurance in running had never been her specialty. Why in the world did Corinne even ask for a race?
Offline
Lyle laughed as the inn came in sight...actually running into a tree and falling onto his back. "YOU TRICKED ME AGAIN!" he exclaimed through the shock of pain.
Offline
Corinne stopped her running. "You really should be more careful. Are you hurt?"
Offline
"Just my dignity," he groaned, rubbing his face as he sat up.
Offline
"Oof?" She offered him a hand. "Now it's your turn to stand up," she mentioned, an interested smile on her face.
Offline
He peeked through his fingers and grabbed her hand with his free one, feeling his nose. "At least I can still smell."
Offline
She checked to see if it was bleeding. "As long as it's not broken, you should be fine.,"
Offline
It was slightly and hewiped it away with his sleeve. "Not unless me sense of smell is gone. That is not fine."

"Well, yeah. Come on. Let's find our teammate."
Offline
He nodded and walked over to the inn, opening the door and peering in.

Voilà!
The noises of conversation drifted around and out the door. While the inside wasn't completely packed, it was by no means empty either. Maybe because it was dinner time?
Most of the people were in groups, or sitting together at the counter. The place wasn't super spacious either. But just large enough to feel comfortable. And welcoming, even.
Corinne ventured inside, avoiding a few chairs and tables with people on them. She looked around. Hmm... where could he be?
There was an almost empty table near a wall. Only one person occupied its chair. The young man sitting there looked as if he was waiting for something or someone. Meanwhile, he sipped out of a glass of... milk?
